Old laptop failed. Digital editions installed on new laptop. Authorized, no problems. How do I get all the history info onto this new laptop. Only shows the book I downloaded since installing on new laptop.
Hello. I've used ADE successfully in the past to borrow ebooks from my library. I've downloaded a small acsm file from my library account to my computer which ADE then opens and converts to the actual book. However today I have a problem. ADE won't open the file and the message I get is:"Unable to Download. Error getting License. License Server Communication Problem: E_STREAM_ERROR"Does anyone know what's causing this? I have checked (in Help / Authorisation Information) that ADE recognises that my computer is authorised to receive DRM content.Thanks.
Adobe Digital Edition 3Downloaded epub book from public library. When it gets to reader message says Oops! This Document couldn't be opened. Is not currently authorized for use with Adobe ID. Sign in with authorized Id and try again. I have used this same product since 2013. Have tried downloading Adobe Digital 3 again but it still doesn't work.
Ok, hope someone can help.I am dragging an mp3 sound file into a new multitrack file into Adobe audition (which I have done countless times), for some reason now when i drop the file in there is no sound on the file, no sound wave shows at all in the track.....HOWEVER if I double click the file on my computer the track opens in iTunes and plays not a problem. The sample rate is the same as the audition file, it can locate the file when searched for it, I've tried linking the media.....all this does nothing. When dragging it in it says on the bottom of it 'offline' BUT if I say reveal in finder it locates the file on my computer instantly......I'm racking my brain as to this issue. can someone PLEASE HELP!
ADE seems to be stuck with my old email after I changed it in Adobe ID. This causes ADE to not sync my books, and I'm unable to remove the Adobe ID account for ADE - It only returns wrong password, and it's not the password thats the problem, it's ADE not uppdating the emailaddress. How do I fix this. I want my books to be downloadable to the mobile app, and now its not working at all.
I installed the Adobe digital editions and finished the authorization process. However, I got the message "E_LIC_RESOURCE_UNKNOWN"what should I do?
I have been trying to resolve this error message on my Kobo. The books transfer easily on my Kobo and I can read the books on Digital Editions on my computer, even opening from my Kobo source. The Kobo customer service has walked me through de- and re-authorizing both my Mac and Kobo; haven't been able to make any progress. The Adobe service pushed their responsibility to the forum, unfortunately I see a lot of similar issues on this forum. If anybody has found a solution please forward. Thank you in advance.
Downloaded books from Overdrive public library won't complete the download process in Adobe Digital Edition 4.5 on a PC running Windows 10.The suggested fix to change the ASCM association to ADE 4.5 didn't fix the problem.Help!
Have used for over 5 years. Suddenly when I try to download a book from public library it tells me digital editions is not responding. When I go to my Kobo book is there but when I try to open it Message comes up "Oops! This document couldn't be opened. document is protected by Adobe Digital Rights Management (DRMK) and is not currently authorized for use with your adobe ID. Please sign in with the authorized adobe ID and try again.
My previous laptop crashed which was authorised to transfer my e-books to my reader. Since I have now replaced my laptop I am able to download purchased books form Kobo site however unable to transfer it via digital editions to my Nook reader with receiving the below message:How am I able to solve this problem? Thanks
Since my 3M Cloud Reader desktop app for Windows recently updated I can no longer download books from my library Overdrive account (Says "Check Activation") . I also can I no longer open/return books from ADE & get an activation error. Both 3M & OD use to work off the same ADE ID & 3M books & OD books both downloaded to the desktop ADE app. This is no longer the case. In Windows, 3M now downloads to C:\Users\NAME\AppData\Roaming\Bibliotheca\cloudLibrary\PROD\ebooks. When the 3M app update installs it asks if you want to use a 3M generated ID or your own unique ID to authorize ADE. I choose my own ADE ID as this is the same ID I have used in the past for both 3M & OD. Now 3M works with this ID & downloads proprly but OD does not. While my computer has only 1 authorized ADE ID it does not appear to work for the Overdrive library account any longer.Unfortunately, the troubleshooting directions in 3M's support page are no longer relevant due to the
Adobe Digital Edition 3.0 - Windows 7Kobo eReaderepub files -> Adobe Digital -> koboEverything works except one issue, the name of book changes to something cryptic "p1b99htvl61p6u115cric..." and the author's name is unrecognizable by me as "susan ilvosky" yet when you have the confidence to read the book, the contents are correct - what the hell? how to solve this issue?
so my mom bought and downloaded a ebook on her computer and she copied it and sent it to me on skype. I downloaded it and tried to open but it doesnt allow me to do so. what should I do?
My computer is new and I have authorized it. When I downloaded a library book, I get a Digital Editions error message"Unable to download. Error getting license, License Server Communication ProblemE_ADEPT_REQUEST_EXPIRED " Your advice would be much appreciated !
In the past I have been able to choose books on line from my city library, download them on my PC and then move them on to my NOOK using Adobe Digital Editions. Now after I download the book on the computer and try to move it to the NOOK I get this error message pop up. E_10_WRITE failed to write destination file.
Ref:How to install Adobe Digital Editions for WindowsIf you have trouble downloading or transferring eBooks, tryclearing your authorization, then reauthorizing ADE.1. Did all that. Still getting message:Error DialogThis book has been returned. Loan not on recordThis is nonsense. ADE showed it in the borrowed list and I could open it and read it in ADE. But after I transfer it to NOOK, even though it shows up in the Digital Editions folder (well over a megabyte file), it wont let me read it. Instead it presents the above error dialog.2. Tried deleting from ADE (OverDrive says no books borrowed. 4 available copies). Checked out and completed delivery to ADE. Readable in ADE. Plugged in NOOK. Dragged ADE image to NOOK in ADE file list. Before I could eject the NOOK got the error message from ADE:Adobe Digital EditionsErrors Were DetectedThe following items could not be copied to your device./!\ The Right Thing to Do (Short Story) CE_COPY_NOT_ALLOWED - No permission to copy the bookFor Dig
I have already uninstalled and reinstalled my ereader and my ADE also I have authorized my computer. What else can I do?
I have reached my allotted limit of re-authorizations of my kobo reader. Adobe support tells me the forum can help me with this, but they cannot. The reason I used so many re-authorizations is because when downloading a book from Overdrive, I got a message that says I did not have DRM permissions. Kobo advised me to de-authorize my computer and my kobo, do a factory reset of my kobo, then reauthorize everything. This works for awhile, then I get the same message, requiring me to go through the same exercise. Strangely, if I purchase a book, rather than borrow, I had no problem. Is there a way to reset my authorization allotment? Adobe support sent me to the forum, and said they could not address my problem. Grrr.
This is my problem. I installed version 4.5 of adobe digital editions and my older nook would not work with the newer version. nook support had me uninstall 4.5 and install 3.0. now when I try to read an epub downloaded book I am getting an authorization error
Have been unable to find any answer to this question! Obviously seeing the amount of times this question has been asked it should be stuck somewhere that it is easy to find!! But No!
When troubleshooting ADE, I get the response of: 6Incompatible ProgramDetectedDigitalEditions is incompatible. This was working fine on Sunday, then Monday, I can't open the library. How to I fix this?
Ich bekomme beim Download meines Buches immer nur die Meldung: "Inhalt wird heruntergeladen". Danach passiert nichts mehr. Ich benutze Version 4.5, OSX. Kann mir jemand helfen?
I have start getting this message when trying to open books borrowed from the library. I have been borrowing from the library for years and this message is new. I am doing nothing different and it happens for books newly checked out (not all thank goodness, but some). I can open the book on my computer in Adobe Digital Editions, and I can click on my Nook (in Adobe Digital Editions) and the book opens fine. But when I unplug the Nook from my computer (whether I use the Eject function or not, I have tried both) and try to open the book I get this error.
Just had my computer cleaned up by a Technician. I have uninstalled and reinstalled ADE 3 times. My device shows up on ADE, but whenever I click on it, ADE just freezes up and does not respond, and I have to shut down. I also cannot seem to get an icon for books I am trying to send in. What should I do??
Just downloaded the newest version of Adobe digital editions after I was no longer able to open eBooks from my local public library (last 2 weeks). Original error message was License server error of E_ACT_NOT_READY even though license was in order etc. Followed all of the directions to get that cleared and tried to open the book from my downloads folder on my MAC and received the error message as stated. Any and all help appreciated.
