After downloading the ACSM file from my library I click on it and get "Error getting License License Server Communication  Problem: E_STREAM_ERROR:I also tried to install Adobe Digital 4.5 and get a install error after I updated .netDoes anyone have a fix?

I recently upgraded to Digital Editions 4.5 but then found that there is an incompatibility between the Kobo Glo, ADE and Kobo Desktop. The solution to this incompatibility is to go back to ADE 3.0. I uninstalled ADE 4.5, restarted my laptop, downloaded and installed ADE 3.0 successfully and now when I run ADE 3.0 I immediately get an error message saying "ADE 3.0 has stopped working. Windows is searching for a solution." and then that message disappears.Help. I need to get ADE 3.0 running again so that I can access my library books.

My nook doesn't showup in the Adobe digital editions screen, so can't transfer library books to Nook. Can anyone help? thanks

Is there any way to change the font type? Changing the size of the font does not help with readability as the change is miniscule. I'm finding items on the verge of being unreadable in the application. If I could change it to the above font (^) it would be helpful.

I am unable to download a book from e-library to Digital Editons 2 so I can transfer it to my Nook.  I get the following error:  E_STREAM_ERROR:   Error getting license, license server communication problem.  The library can't help me, Adobe won't.  This happened with the last 2 books, but one month ago it was working fine.  Help, please

When I download a book from the library, I am able to open and read it on ADE.  I can also move the book from ADE to my Nook.  Within ADE, if I open the Nook library, I can also open and read the book. However, when I attempt to open the book on my Nook itself, I get a message, "Error Dialog    Loan Token Not Found"  I have followed the outlined steps on the Adobe troubleshooting page but still cannot open the borrowed book.

I am receiving an error message: E_Auth_Not_Ready when logging in to my Adobe ID account - how can I fix this please as I can no longer download books from the library. Up until about a week ago, I was able to complete this task.

Error message appears:Adobe cannot open this file. .. not a supported file type or file has been damaged.

help....why am I getting....error, check activation,   I can't download books from the library.......worked for two years now it keeps giving me this error message...........help please

I am trying to set up a Kobo e-reader for the first time and it has prompted me to use Adobe Digitial Editions.  I have downloaded ADE 4.5.  I am logged in and it shows the books that have come from my public library.  I can't view them on my computer or my Kobo because I don't have permission.  All of the search queries online inform me to 'Authorize Computer', but it is greyed out.  After being on the chat help for Adobe, the agent instructed me to 'Erase Authorization'.  After clicking on this, it then prompts me for a Vender Login ID and password.  I don't have these.  How dow I get around this?  The agent on the Adobe Chat was unable to help.

I was getting the error #2038 and followed the instructions on the other forums about this problem. I cleared out the failed and task folder in my digital editions folder. When I tried to open a library ebook afterward the error message went away but now nothing happens. I tried waiting several minutes to see if the download was taking a while but nothing. If anyone has had this problem and knows how to fix it I could really use the help. thanks

I've downloaded many books from my local library in the past. Most transfer to my Nook without problems. Two or three refused to open so I downloaded the library file to my other computer and then transferred to my Nook and ithey opened without problem. Today I downloaded a book that will not open when transferred from either computer. It opens fine on the computer and shows up in the Nook library but will not open. Any suggestions?

Hello,I do not see any shelf in my program. Even if I try to add a new one, it is gone, when I start next time. I also do not see any registered book.If I start for another user on the same computer, I see the default shelves. How can I restore the standard shelves?thank you for your support.

Hello,I want to delete my all the books in ADE 4.5 (8000 books) because it crashes the whole time. To many books.Delete complete program and clean install doesn't work. Books pop-up again.Is there a way to clean the cache?Thanks

Good AfternoonMy ADE won't connect to the internet. First I got a message that it could not connect to the fulfillment server. I can't return books. I can't download books. So I search the forums and the only usable suggestion is to reinstall ADE which I do. I remove the authorization and now if I try to authorize it says it cannot connect to the authorization server. There's no help on that one.Adobe is very quiet on the issue. Do I have to start buying paper books again?Thanks, Christine

I am trying to download my library books from my computer to my ereader, however I keep receiving the error message of "too many activiations, activation limit exceed".  How can this error message be fixed because I cannot read any of my books on my ereader?

Hi. When I try to transfer a downloaded ACSM file to ADE I get this message. Error getting License. Last time I downloaded successfully was Dec 14, starting dec 24 tried to download and had connection errors. uninstalled old version of Adobe Digital editions, restarted computer (win 8), downloaded newest version 4.5. activation/authorization is good as confirmed by adobe chat today, but everytime I try to download from my local online library to adobe digital editions for epub version I get Error! Check Activation.  Adobe chat services checked my account and said activation was good and no support is available except this forum. so, what is wrong???? something changed recently, I have been using this since 2012 then now since late Dec 2016 it won't work?  what do you mean no support except through forum? I am looking in forum and not many people are really getting answers to their questions.

Each time I connect my Kobo to my computer and try to display the book on ADE, it freezes and stop working. I have windows 10. What can I try?

Hi,I have a nook glowlight plus and for the last few weeks, I've been unable to download any borrowed ebooks to my nook.  I've been on the B&N Forums and it seems to be a problem with ADE.  The books will download from the library website (overdrive) to ADE but when downloaded onto the Nook from ADE, I get an Error: Loan Token Failed.I've tried erasing and deregistering my nook, reinstalling my Android file transfer; deauthorizing, reauthorizing, uninstalling and reinstalling ADE but nothing works!It's been going on since the last week of November.  Please fix this!

Hi .I have been using local library to download books for few years no problems but now it is not working. I drop them to Abobe digital editions on computor, then drag to kobo reader. When I try sending from library they are trying to open in adobe reader, NOT digital additions. Does anyone know how to fix problem. Thx. Frustrated.
