Digital Editions

On my previous computer I had perhaps 20 books downloaded from the University of Chicago for ADE. I had a complete harddrive failure and had to replace the computer. Can I access the books I had before or are they just gone from me forever? Are they stored somewhere at Adobe?

I am using windows 10 22h2, nvda 2023.2 and Adobe Digital Editions 4.5.11 version 4.5.11.0. I have been trying to read a file. If I open the file, it shows activation failed. Now, how can I open it? If I go to help > authorise computer, it shows that this option is disabled. If I go to erase authorisation, it shows my account. If I type my password and click erase, it shows an error. It asks me to wait for a while. Then, it shows incorrect passwords. However, I am sure that I am typing the correct password. Now, how can I open the file?

Every book in my iPad library is displaying incorrectly (appears to be after iPad OS 15 update). About Every other page is over-exposed,  blurry, or glitchy.  The books look perfectly normal when using ADE on any other device such as Mac. Attached photo is what a page looks like now on my app. 

I am running Windows Vista Home Edition.  I just downloaded Digital Editions, and was going through the "Free Sample Books" on this website, when I ran into this problem of not being able to load the files that were .acsm.  I have spent the past several hours browsing through all of these threads and did not find a single solution to this.  I don't know what made me look, (I had downloaded two of the files to my desktop, one of them I renamed, and the other I did not-left it "URLLink.acsm"), but I right clicked the file and looked at the Properties.  Sure enough, at the bottom of the General tab it indicated that the file was being blocked.  I unblocked it, double-clicked it, and it loaded into Digital Editions!!!!  Whoo-hoo!  BUT---you CANNOT rename the file!  I tried it with the one I renamed and it did not work.  I re-downloaded it, unblocked it, and it loaded!  You just have to do them one at a time.  Once it loads, it puts the

Buongiorno, sul mio macbook non riesco a rimuovere l'autorizzazione Adobe ID.Ho installato ID digital editions sul mio macbook con il mio ID. Adesso dovrei rimuovere l'autorizzazione e quando provo ad inserire la mia password per rimuovere l'autorizzazione mi segnala che la password non è corretta mentre io sono sicuro che lo sia. Ho provato anche a modificare la password ed inserire la nuova ma nulla, non mi consente di farlo. Come faccio ad eliminare l'autorizzazione? 

Dear community members,  I am having issues with Adobe Digital Editions (both 3.0 and 4.5) ever since installing it on my Lenovo Thinkpad X13, running Windows 10 Enterprise.  After finishing the installation, ADE keeps shutting down automatically after running it for maybe 5 seconds. All I see is the loading cursor, and then the ADE just shuts down.  I have been having this issue both with ADE 3.0 and 4.5. And yes, I have tried to reinstall and reauthorize the app several times.  Can somebody recommend some way to get out? I have paid a big amount of money for an Ebook and I am desperate to run it on ADE!  All best,  Moos

Hi,IIt is the second book I try to read with Adobe Digital Editions and each time I have the same problem : it is very difficult to browse through the pages.Sometimes with one click I jump over several pages, so some pages are totally impossible to read.  

I realize this is a common problem, but I did not see any solution in the forum.I have a letto e-book reader and I borrow books from library, all has worked well for several years, but when I now switched PC, it will not allow ebooks to be transferred to Letto - and it will not authorize my device as it is already authorized with my old PC (no longer existing), There should be some easy way to resolve this, as this should happen eventually to everyone. 

 

I have been busily been using ADE for my ebooks for many, many years and today went to install the app on my iphone. Turns out I don't use my current adobe id to authorize books on my mac desktop but instead use CloudLibrary. I finally figured out the CloudLibrary vendor id by trial and error and can deauthorize my desktop ADE (although I haven't completed that particular action out of fear) but when I use that login to try and authorize the iphone app it rejects the login. I have tried Adobe ID, CloudLibrary and CloudLibrarySC to no avail.Any ideas?

hello i can't log in to my digital editions to read a book on the ipad app even though i am logged in on laptop and on safari on ipad. i can't log in through google on the ipad and it won't recognize my username or password in the app. it redirects me to safari to reset my password where i am logged in but then it still doesn't help me on the app. the chat "help" function is a nightmare and didn't help, then the chat disappeared.  no one will help me on twitter. can someone please help me here? i've never spent more time trying to access a book than i will probably spend reading it.

spent the last few hours trying to get ADE v4 to work every time i download and .acsm file ADE activation error ... i tried to erase authorisation and  but keeps getting a error message "unable to erase authorisation. please try after some time"activation issues yet i cant deactivate?? any help would be appreciated thanks

I am experiencing difficulties with Adobe Digital Edition 4.5. Despite reinstalling the application, it still fails to launch correctly...... So, I downloaded an older version, 4.0, which is functional, but I am prompted to authorize my computer again. I tried using the same Adobe ID and password that I use to log in to Adobe portal, but I received an error message saying : The vendor account you entered is not associated with the item you are trying to open. Try again.

I bought a book from Google play and want to save into my computer, then I download its file epub of the book, then I move it into my Adobe Digital Editions, but cannot doing that and the system show "unable to download, error getting license", I dont know how to do

Unable to open title, errors were encountered in this item. bought 3 books from Google all 3 give same problem, ordered same title on one from Kobo store and have same problem. No problems with none DRM products or short DRM book i purchased. Using windows 10.

I have downloaded the most recent executable from your website and installed it on my PC. Nothing seems to happen when I try to launch the program. I have searched the forum for a solution and can see that this has been an issue for at least 3 years (maybe even 10+ years). I have personally had the issue for at least one year. When I read through the comments, no one has ever been able to resolve this issue. I cant open any of the files I bought that can only be opened by this app. I keep getting this error E_adept_request_expired adobe digital . The only thing I see related to this is people saying to check my date and time. Which my time and date are correct.

Hallo,ich kann seit neuestem keine E-books auf mein Tolino Shine herunterladen. Seit etwa 10 Tagen habe ich mehrere Fehlermeldungen. Letztes Mal konnte ich den Fehler damit beheben, daß ich die Adobe ID auf meinem PC und meinem Tolino deaktiviert habe und dann wieder aktiviert habe. Heute hat das nicht mehr funktioniert. Obwohl ich die Adobe ID deaktiviert und wieder aktiviert habe auf beiden Geräte kann ich mein ePub Buch nicht auf mein Tolino kopieren. Jetzt bekomme ich die Fehlermeldung "Keine Berechtigung zum Kopieren des Buches". Betriebssystem: Windows 7.0Hat jemand eine Lösung? Weitere Frage: Kann ich ADE 4.5.12 auf mein Windows 7 System ohne Kompatibilitätsprobleme herunterladen und installieren? Vielen Dank im voraus für eure Hilfe!

Hello, I'm currently running Android version 13 and this app states its not supported, but only for older versions than my own. This is confusing to me as the website discusses numerous updates/upgrades as being the likely cause of some Adobe apps not being supported. Yet there doesn't seem to be statements regarding these apps not being able to be used due to the apps themselves as being outdated. What does one do in this predicament upon needing to obtain ebooks for my college courses?  Thank you, Michelle

When I copy a ebook to my ereader (Kobo) by using Adobe Digital Editions copying doesn't stop. The ebook however is copied to my ereader. How can I solve this problem?
