Digital Editions

I connect my ereader to my MacBook. In locations on my lapop I see it appear (so the cable is not broken) On my ereader I press 'accept'. So they really are connected to each other. Yet my ereader does not show up in devices. Even if I close Adobe Digital Edition and open it again.

I tried to install Adobe Digital Editions on my desktop (Windows).  It lists the program when I look at my Apps but when I tried to open an ebook it wouldn't work.  Please help!  TB

Reach limit of authorizations. On the page FAQ | Adobe Digital Editions it shows that I need to contact support to get the number of available authorizations reset. I was told in the live chat that I need to post that I need this on the forums, and that was the only way to get the limit reset. Hi,It would be great if ADE for Windows laptops would support turning the pages by swiping the screen.The interface is not really user friendly for reading ebooks otherwise.It would be great to know when this feature might be expected to be launched. Thanks in advance,Sophia

I just purchased the Nook Glow Light Plus. I downloaded Adobe Digetal Editions 4.5 on my Mac. I was able to download a library book to adobe and transfer to my authorized nook however when I go to open the book it says. "Loan token update failed. please turn on wifi and connect to a network to continue." I tried deleting Adobe from my nook and reauthorizing. I also tried redownloading adobe as well as downloading other books from Overdrive. Nothing seems to work. Wondering if this is a known issue and if I should just return as unable to access library books? Thanks in adavance for your help!!!

I have been using Acrobat Digital Editions on a Windows 10 desktop computer. I am in the process of setting up a Windows 11 desktop computer. I have downloaded the Acrobat program to it.My data is stored on external hard disc drives, so it was simply a matter of making the physical connections.I want the Acrobat program on my new computer to access these books. Where are they located?

I have this problem on a new Mac Book Air with Mac OS Mojave. I had no problem on my old Mac downloading library books. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the Adobe software with no luck. Someone help please. Adobe was no help on the phone support since the Digital Edition is a free product!Can someone please help.

Greetings! We are an educational customer who is using Federated ID with Google as our IdP. I have a faculty member who is attempting to use Adobe Digital Editions 4.5.11 to view a DRM-protected document. When attempting to authorize their computer system, they are only given the option for "Adobe ID"...and there is no option to sign in with Google or make use of other federation ID features. A chat with an Adobe tech revealed that the use of Federated ID is not supported with ADE. I'm looking at the possibility of setting up the user with an Adobe ID that is tied to an "alias" of their federated email address (to hopefully allow them to get access to this file via an account we control). Have any Forum members come up with other solutions for ADE that work to resolve these "edge" cases? Thanks in advance, --Troy

I bought my first digital book and installed it on a few test PCs to make sure I knew what I was doing before I installed it on my library PCs. In doing so, I've exceeded my count of allowed installs. Removing it from my test PCs (and cleaning the registry entries suggested by Adobe) only removes it from my test PCs. It doesn't reduce my count to allow me to install on remaining Library PCs.Any ideas?

Hello,  I cannot open books in my library and cannot open a new ebook I bought yesterday evening in Adobe, I get this message, in Dutch, the English message is visible in the subject:  "Communicatieprobleem met licentieserver:E_ACT_NOT_READY" How can this be solved? Many thx Jurjen

Hi, I have been trying for weeks on two different devices (Win11) to authorize Digital Editions. Everytime I get the error message:Digital Editions could not connect to activation server. Please make sure you are connected to the internet. I have read through every single post on the internet I can find and nothing seems to work. I cannot believe that this is still an issue with no fool proof work around and Adobe support is no help. I have tried in no particular order all the following-creating a new Adobe ID-modifying the registry, deleting the Adept key-turning firewall off-allowing ADE through the firewall-ADE versions 3.0, 4.0 and 4.5-mobile network through hotspot, wifi, and wired connection-computer time and date is correct-authorizing without an ID Please, I would be grateful for any solutions. 

Why would these features be off?

I am using an ebook for academic research and I really need to be able to Copy passages (which I will attribute properly) or, failing that, at least be able to Highlight them. The only thing Digital Editions will let me do is Bookmark a page. All the other options in the menu when I right-click are greyed out. Why are these other functions even listed if you can't use them?

The "highlight" right-click menu is grayed out. Even though I have used it in the book I'm reading now. I'm on Windows 10. See this image. 

I cannot authorize mij Kobo Libra 2. I always get an error

Hi there,Adobe digital Editions is telling me "Error getting license. License Server Communication Problem: E_STREAM_ERROR when I try to download an epub or pdf file that I have purchased from google play. I have previously downloaded these files with no problems. Adobe digital Editions a été installé sur un autre appareil. Il n’y a qu’une seule et unique application disponible afin de lire un fichier avec verrou DRM. Si ça plante comme c’est le cas ici, pas moyen de contourner Adobe Digital Editions afin de se dépanner avec une autre application de lecture.  Pour les formats avec Verrou DRM il n'y a pas autre chose que Adobe Digital Editions. C’est dommage. Je me pose une question « Est-ce que les librairies, les bibliothèques et autres fournisseurs pourraient proposer un autre moyen de DÉVERROUILLER un fichier avec verrou DRM? En définitive il semble que la réponse soit d’une complexité aussi « solide » que le verrou DRM.C’est clair tant et aussi longtemps qu’il n’y aura pas de solution de téléchargement et de lecture fiable autre que Adobe digital Editions (à moins que Adobe procède à une mise à niveau majeure) (ou rende disponible une autre application de lectur

Bonjour,J'ai acheté en 2021 un ebook au format pdf ne pouvant s'ouvrir qu'avec adobe digital edition.Entre temps, j'ai réinitialisé mon ordinateur. Aujourd'hui, je réinstalle ADE et essaie de réouvrir mon ebook. Impossible. ADE me dit que le fichier appartient déjà à un utilisateur (moi, il y a 2 ans). Mais comment retrouver l'ID associé pour pouvoir réouvrir mon fichier ?

Why is Adobe Digital Editions 4.5 making two copies of downloaded books and not letting me access borrowed books once copied to my e-reader?  Content locked message even though both computer and e-reader authorized.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled ADE many times, as well as cleared out the files from the Digital Editions folder on my PC - many times.  Now as soon as I launch ADE 4.5 it automatically puts two copies of the file in even though I haven't downloaded it from the library site again.  I'm at my wits end.

For some reason Adobe Digital Editions no longer opens on my computer as it used to – the icon is in the taskbar but will not open in maximum view. It will receive downloads from Overdrive but I can’t access them.What I have done:I first ran all my virus checks: Malware Bytes, Norton, Super anti-SpywareI've logged out and rebootedUninstalled & reinstalledWhen I download a book from overdrive pnce it opened in Adobe Digital editions yesterday but it told me i had to authorize it. When I click on authorization I get this message: Activation Server error: code: E_ADEPT_INTERNAL However if I go to authorizaton in the menu at top left [the one time it did open from overdrive and asked me to authorize my computer]  it says that my computer is authorized and gave me an authorization #.i use a kobo and need my computer to load the books. Help!
