Digital Editions

I recently borrowed a book from my library, downloaded it with Adobe Digital Editions (and was able to open it on the PC) and transferred it to my (Adobe authorized) Kobo Mini reader. Unfortunately the reader refused to open the book because “it is not currently authorized for use with your Adobe ID”. I reset the reader, signed in with my Kobo account, authorized it again with Adobe Digital Editions, but got the same error. I use one and the same email address as my account ID for Adobe and Kobo but noticed that the one for Kobo is spelled with lowercase letters while the one for Adobe has its first letter capitalized. Is this a problem? I tried changing my Adobe ID to lowercase on the Abobe's website but got error “That Adobe ID is not available. Please try another address.” This is the first DRM book I am trying to access on my Kobo.Thank you.

I am SO frustrated!  I am a teacher, very good with technology...but I have been attempting to download epub books/downloading/re-installing Adobe Digital Editions 3.0, for at least 8 hours now... I have cleared my computer of all the versions, re-loaded, etc.   I even got an email from the library, that apparently Kobo and Adobe are in conflict...so are making it extremely difficult for users on both sides.  First of all, if libraries continue to advertise and share epub books, but have their hands tied with the application we have to use to open them - this is a problem.  Secondly, Adobe is aware of this, and does everything in their power to make it difficult for users - like having the link for 3.0 go nowhere!  This would be so easy to fix.  and Kobo continues to sell their product, knowing that even the most tech savvy people are going to be ready to throw their product at the wall!   Please Adobe - either decide to work with libraries

Je viens d'acheter un livre et j'ai dans un premier temps, ouvert le livre avec l'ID de mon ordinateur pas celui de mon comte mais maintenant que je veux lire ce livre sur une autre platforme cela ne fontionne pas evidemment parce que l'ID de ce livre n'est pas rattacher a celui de mon comte... Bref.Existe-t-il une solution pour changer l'ID d'un livre et le rattacher à celui de mon comte ?   

We need an older version of ADE for our Kobo as we cannot get Adobe Digital Editions to work with our new Kobo, has anyone else experienced this and do you know how to get like version 3 download file for Mac OS?

I have this error message. The person in the chat won't help...I want to reset my adobe id so I can authorize my device (kobo). Please can someone help me reste my adobe account ID..??I've been trying all day, and the chat support is total nonsense and useless.Here's a picture of the error message. 

I have a Kobo device that I had authorized under my library card. I have since moved and have a new library card that I use. I have to change the verification for my device or I can not open my checked out books.  When I try to deactivate my previous verification, it asks for Vendor ID and password. I've tried my previous library sign in info AND my Adobe account info and neither work.  Any ideas?

Bonjour, j'ai un MacBookAirJ'arrive à télécharger des livres sous DRM-(fichier.acsm téléchargé via bibliothèque paris)  mais lorsque je veux les ouvrir sur ADE, j'ai le message suivant. Erreur lors de l'obtention de la licence. Problème de communication avec le serveur de licences :E_IO_CANNOT_OPEN J'ai installé/désinstallé le logiciel, autorisé l'ordinateur, effacer l'autorisation, etc ... mais sans succés Je suis désespéré, si quelqu'un a une solution ... Merci par avance. 

Habe leider meine ID-Nr nicht mehr und würde gerne ein neuen E Book autorisieren. Wenn dies nicht möglich. ist es möglich eine neue Regisrrierung durch zu führen? 

I have an EBook in Digital Editions. Is there a way to listen to it audibly with something like read aloud or another way to listen to the book please? If so, how do I get it to read to me? 

Hallo,ich nutze Adobe Digital Editions.  Leider lässt sich das Programm nicht mehr starten. Es erscheint immer folgende Meldung.  Weiß jemand,was für ein Problem das sein kann? Ich habe das Programm schon deinstalliert und danach wieder neu installiert, aber immer noch kommt die Medung.  

Hello. I get an error message when I try to open Adobe Digital Editions 4.5 on my desktop. It states, "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000135). Click OK to close the application. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the Adobe Digital Editions 4.5 with no change. Can anyone help with this? Thank you.

Does anyone know how to retrieve the full version number for ADE for MacOS.  The CFBundleShortVersionString in the Info.plist and the get info window for the App contains eg 4.5.11, but the about window shows 4.5.11.xxxxxx   Where does the about window retrieve that full version number from?

Please solve my problem.

Hey, ich habe gerade einige Bücher über einen Link auf mein Tablet geladen und diese der Bib in Digital Editions hinzugefügt. Hab natürlich dafür auch meine ID in der App autorisiert. Inititales öffnen hat funktioniert. Jetzt (keine 3 Stunden später) komme ich wegen der og. Fehlermeldung nicht mehr auf die Bücher drauf (insgesamt 3 Stück).Habe mich schon neu autorisiert .. Hat jemand eine Idee woran es liegen könnte? Darüber hinaus, habe ich mir die App auch auf meinen Laptop geholt.. hier sehe ich die Bücher gar nicht ? Liebe Grüße und Danke,Mag

Deactivating my inaccessible device from my ADE account". I have a problem first when I tried to view and upload into my Digital Editions an eBook I checked out from the library. I received an error message "Error getting License. License server communication problem. E_ADEPT_NO_TOKEN" When I talked to the help desk about deactivating, I informed them I had to use it inactivated because I was unable to activate it since it stated that my username had been used on another computer. This is true. I had to purchase a new computer because my previous computer was unable to be fixed or logged into long enough to let me into its use. So, when I was told to go into it and deactivate it to log into the digital editions on my new computer, I told the help desk I was unable to due to the computer being out of compacity.

Does deauthorising Adobe Digital Editions through registery edit by removing ADEPT-key, erase authorization in a way that I can authorize it to another computer? How does it send information to server that it is now deauthorized?

Our team changed computers and forgot to deauthorize their devices before handing them out. Now we have no access to our ADE library due authorization limit and we do not have access to those computers anymore. Is there a way to deauthorize all computers from this account?

E_ACT_TOO_MANY_TIMES_ACTIVATION error in Adobe Digital Edition Aap.Please clear my too many times log in details and solve it.

J'ai beau renseigné mon adresse mail (qui est bien reconnue) et mettre mon mot de passe rien ne se passe !il est noté " le compte fournisseur spécifié n'est pas associé à l'élément que vous essayez d'ouvrir. Veuillez réessayer"J'ai changé mon mot de passe mais rien ne se passe non plus !Je ne cherche qu'à ouvir un interface entre un site de bibliothèque municipale et ma kobo  !!! Merci de votre aide

HI,I use Adobe Digital Editions every day for the DSM5. If I use the navigation panel to find an area in the book in the table of contents or by bookmark, then close the navigation panel, then try to scroll to the next page, I'm immediately taken to the last page of the book. I can't get to the next page either by mouse nor arrow keys. Essentially, the only way I can do this is to scroll through the entire 992 page book to the page that I want, then I can scroll to the next page, or leave the navigation panel open all the time. Given that with the navigation panel open, I have to constantly scroll left/right on the page because the text doesn't reflow nor fit all on one page with the navigation panel open it's extremely frustrating.  I'm on Mac 10.11.3 with Digital Editions version 4.5.126234. I had this same problem on my last laptop and did a clean install, so am pretty sure it's not just my system. Does anyone have a fix?

Después de descargar el Adobe Digital Edition, no le di a la pestaña de crear una ID y autorizar con ID, sino a la de solo autorizar  de forma anónima lo que supone que solo puedo leer en el dispositivo en el que estaba descargando, y quisiera saber como puedo revertir esto.Gracias por adelantado.

I have three books in digital editions wich come back in the library after deleting.When I delete the, they are gone.After closing digital editions, and opening again, they are back.How to delite them perminent??
