Dimension

I'm trying to create a chest shaped box with a flap/ nose lock. I was able to create a basic chest shape using the cylinder and cube tools. However, I have no idea how to achieve the curvey opening like the illustration attached. I would really appreciate some help as I'm getting very frustrated with this app.

Hi all!In Adobe Dimension I placed graphic on object, and adjusted its position and size. And then clicked outside to exit graphic adjustment. Now I need to adjust it again - how do I do it? The 3D model has 4 parts - Tip, bottom, body and cap. The graphic is placed on body.

Hallo zusammen, ich versuche derzeit Dimension zu nutzen, aber jedes mal nach dem start angezeigt das ich nicht eingeloggt sei und deswegen schließt sich das programm sofort wieder, in der CC app bin ich jedoch eingeloggt und in keiner der andere programme (nutze LR, PS, AE, Premiere und audition) hat jemand ideen wie ich das behaben kann? neu instalieren und neustat hab ich schon versucht?

Hello,I just noticed that a black-white gradient used as opacity, is only applied on the external surface of a tube, not on the complete object (volume).As you can see in the red area, the inner surface of the tube is not affected. Is there a way to bypass this issue ? Regards

What is the latest Dimension version that i can use on my MacOSX 10.13.6 (High Sierra)?

After a long day of uninstall, reinstall, cleaner tool, Adobe remote assistance and no fix later....Every time I go into 3D effects AI stops responding and crashes (works fine in older version). I know the problem was an accidental mass upload of dowloaded substances while distracted, so I figure something somewhere is continuing to recognize "Your Materials" under Materials tab in 3D effects, even after everything, and maybe is trying to upload still or has a corrupted file (I have also deleted all downloaded materials as part of the attempted fix).  So to test my theory I went into program files and located the Material-Resources folder and deleted the files outside the Default Material Substances folder: material_icon_render.sbsar and missing_material.sbsar.  I relaunched AI and after doing so I was able to access 3D effects but no materials would appear, just continous "searching cirlces", also my "Your Materials" folder was still there as I had suspected...so i

Good day. I am trying to get a realistic metallic or "Foiled" look onto a pack shot but cannot seem to get the result I want. One can change the metallic properties on a decal that has been applied but for me it does not work as great.  Has anyone been able to find a workaround?(I am attaching a picture of the look I am going for). Thank you

I've searched in this community for answers, however all seem to be solved with no explanation. I have recently reated seveal documents which seem to be finished. After restarting my pc it seems that I am unable to my saved documents. I most likly have them all somewhere saved locally on my pc, however it is to note that most of my adobe content is on my D drive, while Adobe Dimension was installed on my C drive. Is there a fix on my end? I'll submit my Dimension log files as instructed my the program down below as it may uncover valuable information in regards to my other documents.

Mac OS 12.1. The program/app icon is missing from the dock. Anyone experienced this?

Hello Community, I want to render a bigger panorma scene with a larger number of objects (wind turbines). Unfortunately Dimension hides the wind turbines that are smaller/in the background. Is there any possibility to make them all visible?Thx.Martin

 Hello,I am new to Dimensions and created a model of pickleball paddles and the different layers they are constructed in. The image looks great before I render it but when i render it the image seems flat and blurry. How do I get it to render super crisp and clear? Please help!

new to dimensions... on my first render, the light was so accidentally perfect with a nice edge light but the model shape was sloppy.... corners looked jagged. can't seem to replicate that edge highlight! tips?

What happened to embed code for Dimension 3D-scenes? It used to work fine, but can't find the option anymore. I'm on all apps -subscription (business). -antti 

Hello,I have an issue when I use a decal on a glass object, like a bottle.The decal at the back of the bottle, that we see through the glass, appears totaly black. Only in render mode.I see no option to adjust that in Dimension. I may think it's because there's no light setup inside the bottle.Thank you for your tips on that.

Hallo zusammen,mag sein das ich das System einfach noch nicht verstanden habe, aber wenn ich versuche Materialien zu meiner Dimension-Bibliothek hinzu zu fügen scheint der einzige weg zu sein eine .sbsar-Datei aus der Cloud herunter zu laden, dabei auf alle wichtigen Kenndaten für das Material (wie Kategorie, Anzeigebild,..) zu verzichten, und bei Bedarf aus meinem Downloadorder direkt auf mein Modell zu legen. Das scheint mir einfach nicht richtig sein zu können, besonders da in der CloudApp ein eigener Reiter für die anderen 3DAnwendungen existiert? Hi, everyone, I may just not understand the system yet, but when I try to add materials to my Dimension library the only way to do this seems to be, the download of a .sbsar file from the cloud without all the important characteristics for the material (such as category, display image, ..), and place it directly on my model from my download folder. Hello, I can't get Adobe Dimension to load.  I get the start screen & anything I click on does not respond.I really want to get started learning & using Dimension but I can't proceed.I've read previous conversations on this and no-one seems to have resolved this yet.I've checked the OS required and it should work on mine.I attach my OS & the unresponsive start page.Can you help please? Many thanks.  

I am a beginner and therfore i used Thinkercad. There it was'nt a problem to make a hole in a other object. How do i do that in Dimension please? Thanks in advantage...

Apparently, you can't copy and paste objects into a new file. As a result, I've been forced to create this massive long row of our product sets in one single file.As a result, the file has become massive, slow to open and unwieldy to work with.  Is this the only possible workflow?I'm using this to create product set images .. is there a better way to handle it, or is this what I'm stuck with? (Note, I've seen some ads for some kind of new 3D software from Adobe that's a paid upgrade option ... is Dimension – that comes with my subscription – being left in the dust? That is to say, if the answers to my copy/paste problem are "upgrade," that is just dumb.)

As a graphic designer with minimal knowlege of 3D rendering - Adobe Dimension has been the perfect solution for me so far - I've been able to set a camera angle to an perfectly match an image of a shelf that I'm setting up mutiple 3D products onto and easily apply graphics onto the surface of those graphics. I'm trying to set up this file for print - so my canvas size is fairly large ( 4000+ px) and in total there are 80 objects on this one canvas. I knew I would be in for a longer render time, but after 4+ hours of the program "Estimating..", then locking up and crashing - I'm worried I won't be able to render out what I need in time. ( I have 5 similar canvases in total) I have a work around I really don't want to use if I don't have to since it's very time consuming and the quality is poor -- is there a way to get my complex Dimension files to render??  The workaround I have lined up:Export a .obj file from DimensionOpen in Cinema 4D LiteAttempt to match the camera an

Similar to the Unite function/Pathfinder/Illustrator.It seems like a simple task to merge two ojects to make a new compounded object but I just can not find it.Also I do not mean to group obects, I want to merge them.I want to merge a square and circle to make the shape on the attached photoMany thanks 

Hi! I'm new to Adobe Dimensions and started out trying to create a reflective metal sphere on a photo. I want to choose the same photo as my background for environment light for the cube to create to reflective effect. However, when I try to choose a photo from my computer no files show up. The photo I want to choose is a jpg. How do I fix it?
