Dimension

When I go to open my dimension document, I get a message that says "unable to open document". I don't know how to read the log information. Does anyone know what to do in this case?

As I've mentioned a few times, I still can't open older .DN files. I'm still forced to use 3.4.11.Previous models and scenes - I can't open. I've eliminated everything out, except the models/objects I'm using, and everything points to a similar issue that others have had with UVs. Notably, I have no issues whatsoever opening and accessing files and objects in ALL previous versions. Yes, I can export an object as an .OBJ file, but that flattens everything - from editable materials/ layers, to the decals placed. The same goes with Stager...Perhaps I can send a file over. Someone can test in previous version and then see what's happening in newer versions of Dimension to solve this issue. It would most certainly be so very much appreciated. Suppot for more complex UVs put Dimension on the map vs. other 3D programs.Without being able to edit and work within Dimension, decals, layers, materials (not forcing to flat/export out) - it's a significant step backwards... Standing by for

I've exited the Dimension file after saving. Now it says Unable To Open Document. I've already updated my drivers. Please help

Adobe Support -- I still can't open ANY Dimension files after 3.4.11.I am forced to not update and stay with the previous version. Note: - this is the same issue others had with UVs...  Previous models can not be used or opened. 2nd Note:  If you manage to fix this, it would also be the same solution for Stager! 😉 Maybe I can send you the file/object??? You can open in 3.4.11 and then maybe figure out why it won't open in any new? Please help?I've been patiently waiting for months and months - just FYI 🙂   I do appreciate any and ALL support. -e-

I'm wondering if there is a way to adjust the lines on an object in Dimension. If you look at my image the zipper lines of the pouch are too low compared to the real pouch. Is it possible to just move those lines in Adobe Dimension? Also if i need a new object, can i export this one to adjust and resave? Thanks for the help. 

I'm trying to place an image on multiple objects in InDesign. Is this possible? I've attached an image. I imported the object as the whole door, but the image only wants to wrap around an individual piece of it. Any suggestions would help. Thank you!

I can't open any saved .dn files.I have prepared and set up a render for visualization for my client, but I cannot open it.I need quick help. 

Hello! In Adobe Dimension there is only 1 decimal place used/shown for X/Y/Z positioning This can make things very difficult to accurately position items - especially components that fit together tightly. Often if I type in a fraction and use extra decimal places it will position correctly, just showing a rounded number in the info area, but if I am selecting an existing option I do not know if the position is exact or rounded.  Also, if I manually reposition an object I can see that the object moves but the postion only updates when the rounding increases enough to roll over to the next digit.  Object size has 2 decimal places which is more helpful, but for us in the USA still using inches at least 3 decimal places are needed for any kind of accuracy. I dislike having to "eyeball" how products fit together (especially if they interconnect in a way where you can't get the camera in view to see if they join up properly). Thanks for your insight on this!Ryan

I've searched for a solution to this specific problem, but it feels like a Dimension limitation.I'm trying to render a large image for a poster (3300 px by 5610 px). I'm using a decal that is very high resolution (10525 px by 7193 px), however, no matter how I scale the cylinder mesh that I've applied it to in Dimension I end up with a pixelated version of my decal.This screenshot illustrates the issue. On the left is my decal at 100% zoom, and on the right is the Dimension render output using that decal. I hope someone can help. I want to use a cube to make a more complex form with opacity. I am using the opacity channel and everything works fine. The only thing I am having trouble with is to find an option for the texture not to show on both sides of the model, maybe a cardboard texture in the other side. Someone knows if there is an option?  Thanks a lot!

When I open Dimension, I am greeted by nothing except a blank dark grey screen which does not respond to anything. I can move it around and expand it, but beyond that, all mouse clicks, keyboard have no effect.Also when I exit in the corner it refuses to close. I have to end the task in task manager. Brand spankin' new Windows 10 computer. I will screenshot the specs.The latest version of Adobe Dimension (3.1)I tried installing the two older versions instead - had the same results.I tried restarting - no luck.I currently only have one monitor display.All of the other apps in the Adobe cc range appear to work just fine. I would really appreciate anyone who is able to help me with this. If it is an idea for a solution or an idea of what the problem is. Also feel free to ask for more info.Thank you

I am trying to use Fantastic Fold but am running into some issues. While I've been able to use it previously, recently I have not been able to access the program at all. I've attached screenshots showing the conundrum. If I visit the Adobe Prerelease page to sign up for the program, it shows that I am not yet part of Fantastic fold, if I try and load Fantastic Fold, it prompts me to join and then gives me an error message stating my AdobeID is already a part of the program.Fantastic Fold has become a big part of my teams workflow and I need access back ASAP. Maybe if someone could remove my account from the program, I could sign up again and gain access?   [Moderator moved from The Lounge to Dimension.]  

So, I've just opened a 3. Version DN file in the latest versions. It opened with OVER 1100 CAMERAS! Not a joke. Please tell me there's a fix on the way?

I keep getting the Unable to Open Document error whenever I tried to open a file I was working on for days. This is really annoying! Does anyone know how to fix iit? 

I was working on a 3D render yesterday and today it wouldn't open saying file is unable to open but there were no reasons to explain. The entire file and a previous version which had a different background are completely corrupt and I have no idea why. Ill attach the log now

Hello everyone,I'm using Adobe Dimension and I can't seem to find the "Enable/Disable Collision" option when selecting objects. I’ve seen older videos where objects appear to fall into place as if affected by gravity and collide with each other.Has this feature been removed, or is it now called something else?Thanks in advance,Gorby

I have a dimension project that I'm working on and suddenly when I try to select an object and move it the pivot controls won't show up and I can't move it. I know it's selected because I can deltete the object but can't move it. This applies to every object. I checked and nothing is locked. Any ideas of what could be happening?

When will Substance and Dimension receive a fix so Nvidia Quadro cards are recognized?  I have Lenovo Tiny computers with T400's in them.  I have tried all recomended suggestions with nvidia control panel and Windows 11 settings I found in posts from frustrated people last year.  Is there still no fix from Adobe so Quadro cards are recognized?  Or did I miss it?
