Hello,How can I animate a 3D model that I created in Dimension? I would like to be able to record camera movements of my rendered model.After Effects and Animate don't seem to import Dimension models, and I can't think of any other Adobe apps that I could use...

Hi everybody, I figured this is probably a pretty common thing. So I read a couple other thread to see if I could get away with an answer without posting. The first time I imported this model, it had rounded edges etc, so I figured that was the problem as Dimension only imports polygonal mesh.I then I dumbed down the object in C4D as much as I could, then imported it, still failed. So I then tried importing another OBJ file from VCPilot's Essentials. Worked fine. So there's something wrong with my OBJ file, but I can't figure out what it might be. Is it typeface? Is that the problem? Outside that it's just a rectangle. I attached the file for reference (actually, no I won't. that failed too).  Great so my OBJ file isn't an OBJ file...? If I could have a better understanding on what I can mport of why this isn't working that'd be great. I installed the latest version of Dimension (4.0.2). contrary to what is shown in the screenshot of help pages, the resolution setting does not appear in the export settings panel.Is it not possible to set the resolution (for example 300 instead of 72) in the new version? or where is the resolution adjustment?

Hi guys,I am trying to add gravel and pavers to my landscape design but have no idea how to add gravel or rocks/sand/grass etc to a surface. Where would I be able to get these types of textures? Thanks!

I can't use any images as materials in Adobe dimension. Whenever I add an image(I tried several file formats) to the diffuse slot of the material it says 'There was a problem reading the file'. I can't use the library for this purpose so library is not an option. I have been using dimension for many years without an issue and this is the first time I came up with this error.

Hello,I am using Adobe Dimension version 4.1.1 and the Gizmo is no longer displayed. I already had this problem in the previous version. I thought that the update would have solved the problem.I tried everything:- I uninstalled and reinstalled Adobe Dimension- I reset the size of the Gizmo in the View menu- I launched the software in administrator mode- ...Has anyone encountered this problem? If you know how to solve it? Thank you.

I imported three models from *.dn files into one scene. Because each *.dn file was basically the same (only the texture was different--these are just simple packshots) I've got multiple cameras with the same name. So I decided to adjust one of cameras, then rename it... and Dn crashed. I've been asked to provide logs here. Duly attached.

Height map data does not transfer on export in any 3D file format - so the meshes are completely flat on import to blender, aero, etc. 

When applying height maps, they render fine in Dn - but the height map data does not transfer on export in any file type - making the mesh completely flat in all other 3D apps (blender, aero, etc.) 

When patterns are applied in Dn with a "repeat" value of more than 1, the added patterns repetitions do not apply on import to Aero - completely breaking the artwork.

I was wondering if there is a way to make a camera/settings so the perspective is turned off? May seem like a strange request in a 3D program but I was trying to get a certain look and I can't do it with perspective.  Hi guys, I hope everyone is doing well. I am having a problem with Adobe Dimension. I am using a custom Gaming Laptop running Win 11 Pro,  with tons of SSD space, NVIDIA RTX 4070 Graphic  Card (12GB), and I am using the latest version of Adobe Dimension (4.0.4) .The issue is as follow:I am using a simple 3D model of a human silhouette, which I turned into 3D in Illustrator and imported into Dimension. I added a the "Polished Metal", gold material.I then added a simple label (PNG image) to the ModelI tried to export to a .GLB format so I can use it in PowerPoint for a presentation I was working on.The export failed, and I got the following Message:"Something went wrong while exporting your scene."The funny thing is that if I one export the model without the image it will export just fine. If I then export the model with the image only, without adding any material it will also work fine. IT'S THE COMBINATION OF THE TWO, MATERIAL+IMAGE that creates the problem. And to

I am wondering if there is an Adobe solution to turning a custom dieline from an art file in Illustrator (not always a simple box or carton) into a textured 3D obj? I have only found an obscure beta program where this might have been played around with in Dimension. Our workflow currently uses Origami (a plugin that creates folded boxes/cartons based on a dieline in Illustrator) as an intermediary between Illustrator and C4D (our rendering solution). Is there some way to use Dimension or maybe another Adobe application instead of Origami? Dimension is nice and all, but I feel incredibly limited in what you can do, but I may be wrong. It would be nice if there was even a solution/plugin for C4D, but haven't come accross anything either.

While Importing a diemntion file the software Crashed. Need help to resove. This is happening always. 

Hi all,Having some issues when connecting and using Dimension over VPN. I'm connecting remotely from home on a laptop to my work PC.I connect and work without any issues on other programs such as Illustrator/Photoshop but as soon as i open Dimension it will start to open but get stuck at 14%.I have seen a couple of previous posts about the program getting stuck at 14% but there was no fix that i know of. My I.T dept have looked into the network side of things and cant see any issues and as im using other programs with no problems it must be a DImension glitch??.....Any help will be much appreciatted. 

Hello Dimension Community,I installed the new Dimension 4.0 via the Creative Cloud 3-4 days ago. Since then I've been having the problem that I always get the following error message when rendering: ‘An error occurred during GPU rendering. CPU rendering was used instead’. But not only when rendering at the very end, even when I activate raytracing in the middle of the project (and therefore GPU rendering), this error message has already popped up. As a result, I have not yet been able to finish modelling a single project, let alone finally render it. What I have tried so far:1. on Windows 11 in the ‘Graphics Settings’ add dimension and set to ‘High Performance’ (Nvidia graphics card).2. add dimension in the Nvidia Control Panel and switch to ‘Highest performance’ (Nvidia graphics card).3. delete Dimension 4.0 via the Creative Cloud and reinstall it cleanly. Nothing worked, although Dimension always recognises my graphics card on the first start and offers to select it to use

I have started getting a problem with how certain objects look on the renders. For example, an object will slightly be more rotated on the render and I have no idea how to compensate for it because it looks fine in the 3D Design. Does anybody have the same problem and know how to fix it?
