File not on local disk??

I am suddenly getting -  "file" not on local disk. GET - when I open any of my local sites in dreamwearver. All the files show up in the Files Panel and  If I double click on the file names in the files panel the file WILL open. So obviously it is there. But when I click to open the asscociated link shown in the tool bar abouve the page I have open in dreamweaver, I get this error and the file will not display. Also my live view is acting wonkyHELP

Why remove the post??

Why remove my post in reference to the 'edit post' feature being disabled in the forum? I posted a legitimate reply to.......... hummm I currently forget the womans name at Adobe and next it was removed because the answer that was provided by Adobe didn't make any sense and I pointed that out, detailing the reasons why. Is that the reason the post was removed because of the exposure of a non-sensical decision taken by Adobe? Pretty weird stuff going down lately.

make "class" editable in <body> tag in a template

Is there a way to make only "class="xxx"" in <body> tag editable in a template? Or entire <body class="dummy_class">?What I want to do is to change the class name for each chile html so that I can use it to change the style of nave button only for the "current page". Thanks in advance, Toshi

Putting a single page.

Had an old version of dreamweaver and knew the progam well. Just downloaded the new and can't find the place where you put a single page. Icon for putting asks if I want to put the whole site. No, just and new or change a single page.

Div Containers not coded correctly?

I have been trying to set this page up with responsive div containers. While they are responsive, they do not respond to resizing when I change 3/3/3/3 to 6/6. Don't understand what I have missed. Also, when I put text in the 4th column, the div thumbnails distort. I am attaching a screen shot of the distortion. The columns all become very small and the containers are not lining up. Manage Sites in Ver 5.5

I have a new computer and transferred my old Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 to the new computer using a download providede by adobe.I have a Go Daddy Account and use Plesk as a server interface. I set up my 2 websites in dreamweaver the exact same way as was on my old computer, but cannot connect. I can access the plesk server through all other ftp methods, so I have now idea what's going on. (Go Daddy checked their end.)Is there anyone out there with any help or suggestions? Could there have been some dreamweaver updates that did not get to me vis the download?Thanks.

PHP mail sent through SMTP not working

Hello,This is my final hope for my PHP form, I really hope I can get some help here, I have not succeeded anywhere else. This is my issue: I have to mail addresses that are receiving mails sent through this website, one is a gmail address and the other one is on the server (testmail@1alarm.se). When I try to send mails, they arrive at my gmail address, but not on the server address. I checked with the provider, one.com, that informed me that something was wrong with my code, but since they don't support scripts that they not have made, they could not help me. Unable to Preview Page in Browser

I am brand new to Dreamweaver and I am trying to get the "Open in Browser" option working. Currently I set up DW to link to my shared hosting server -- all seems fine with that. All of my webpages on my server are in a public_html folder. When I try to select the file from the file/folder list and then, select "Open in Browser", I get a 404 error. The reason for this appears to be because it is including "public_html" in the path: i.e. www.mysite.com/public_html/index.html How do I set this up, so clicking on my files will omit the "public_html" reference?

Adding Facebook Feed to Dreamweaver

Does anyone know how to add a facebook feed to a site? I'm using Dreamweaver CC 2017. I've googled around and I can only see how to add specific posts. Looks like Facebook has gotten rid of a lot of the plugins and such they used to have in order to embed feeds.

ADA Dreamweaver Tools -help

I'm not a developer but a client has a  smallish Dreamweaver site that's out of date and will need a redesign. Short-term it needs to be ADA compliant (by the end of 2020) so we're trying to decide whether to make the existing site compliant (and what tools are available to identify ADA issues in Dreamweaver sites) or if we should start fresh with a redesigned site.  Any insight would be appreciated.

Forms in Dreamweaver CS6

I created forms many years ago in Dreamweaver CS6 and have had no trouble until now. I have moved to a new web host (they using an IMAP server as my last web host did). But, while those filling in forms see the screen saying 'Thank you for filling in...' which also shows what they have filled in, I never get the data in an email as I always used to. They say that I should insert: Server: localhostPort: 25Encryption: noneAuthentication: Noin the Perl script. Don't understand that. I do hope someone can help me; it is so important that I get this information. Im entering midterms and working on a website. Just this week dreamweaver began freezing or slow typing. I checked if it was because of my file size and started a new one. It happens even before I get to the body. The window says (not responding) too. I know I updated it recently, but I'm not sure if its because of that... has anyone dealt with this?

App breaking bug slowing down typing is still unfixed

So I have been deleting that "Temp File List" folder in "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Dreamweaver 2020\" on a regular basis in regedit for months, worrying to lose my client work config if I downgraded DW. How do I stop this app to grow a huge pile-up of files that make Dreamweaver unusable with time? Typing pauses 5 seconds whenever I type anything. The issue seems to happen to everyone and still no fix 😞

Changing Dropdown Menu

I'm wanting to add a button on my sites dropdown menu. I was just replacing one of the links with a new one. The change will appear on the homepage where I made the change but will not show on any of the others pages of the site. How can I get this change to appear on every page of the website?

Jon, What use is a specific forum related issue posted in another forum, that no-one knows exists. I've been in this forum for more years than you've had hot dinners and I had no-clue as to the forum you mentioned in your other post, so no-one else is likely to know it exists either, unless they go hunting for it. As I see it there should be a sticky at the top of this forum relating to any current problems which exist so its clear to any user of said specific forum. Too much to ask and too sensible suggestion really to be taken seriously. I do get that, after all we are talking Adobe and staff/moderators,  who have not quite got the hang of customer relations yet, even after all these years. Can you at least inform why nothing is being done about this issue after a month?? A way of edting a post is common in most forums, unless you didnt know? Can you at least pass my comments onto someone at the top who can actually sort it out trather than really being of li

Hello Community!I am a Doctor looking to create a multiple choice question bank website for medical students. They would need to be able to select which discipline and the number of questions they want to be tested on. The question data would need to come from a form that I could easily enter. I have attached some examples of the sort of thing I want to do. My question is whether this can be done on Dreamweaver and if anyone has any resources that may help me achieve this? Thank you!

Same footer in multiple pages

Hello Dreamweaver Community. I want to know how can I keep the header and footer the same size and look on multiple pages that I have created in Dreamweaver. I have tried manually manipulating two but I havent't solved the problem. Also I want to know how to remove a white space that is between the navigation bar and the header that has a picture and an overlay over it to add tint. I would surely appreciate a response back.

Check in/out disabled or enabled—I keep getting prompts when working on PHP files.

Running Mac OS 10.15.7, Dreamweaver 20.2,  and using MAMP PRO 5.7 to running my testing server with PHP 7.1.32 I'm getting "John is currently working on /somefile"..."Please enable Check in/Check out"...upload anyway?" messages whenever I want to edit a PHP file. They appear regardless of whether I enable or disable file check in.  I'm the only one who works on my site, so I'd like to dispense with these messages, dHow do I do that? Thanks,

Whose the joker that has removed my post?

WOW how very revealing. I bring to light a problem in the forum, which has existed for probably a month and someone 'trigger happy' doesn't like it. Can I suggest whoever you may be might put more effort into fixing the problem, preferably as fast as you seem to be able to remove posts. What  a flipping joke Adobe and its staff are.
