Dreamweaver

What a disaster this has become. Looking at the CC desktop app, I thought I would look under Categories for my favourite product called Dreamweaver. The first place I look for is Web Development. Not to be found. Finally find it in the Category of UI & UX. Does this mean that Adobe has earmarked Dreamweaver for designers only? Is it earmarked for simple static web pages? Is it bundled in the Adobe flagship XD, as the banner makes us believe?     To quote Wikipedia: Among web professionals, "web development" usually refers to the main non-design aspects of building websites: writing markup and coding.[2] Web development may use content management systems (CMS) to make content changes easier and available with basic technical skills.   Where is full stack development? When we tried to post webpages to our server, it shows an error “Dreamweaver can’t open .pdf files. Please choose an HTML, XML, or other compatible file.” Does anyone know how to solve this? Thanks!DW version CS5 version11 build 4909

I'm working on a site built in XSL pages. These pages transform on the server with server side XML and then are served to the browser. I have been constantly frustrated with using this site with DW, but giving it another shot. Is it possible to work on design view with .xsl pages?   It seems the only option I have available is code view.

Hi, I need to import a folder of snippet edit with dw 2019 and import it in dw 2020.Is this possible? If yes how?Thanks. 

I've been using 2017 and I started using 2019 and 2020, every time I go to make a change I get a "not responding" message.  I noticed this in 2018 and went back to 2017.  Now that I've updated my Creative Cloud to 2019 and 2020, I'm having issues whenever I make a change.  It's taking me an extra 15 minutes to update my newsletter because of the software times out. How do we fix this?

I'm coding in Dreamweaver. Then I click a point in my code and use the spacebar to make some space. The cursor starts deleting my code. How can I get Dreamweaver to stop deleting my code when I'm trying to add space in my code?

Hi to all! I'm writing this as a follow-up to my previous thread on the topic (Heredoc and Adobe Dreamweaver 2019 CC) that got lost during the forum's migration to the new platform. So the last important reply there was made from @Paul-M , "promising" to have a look at my problem and maybe come up with a solution! So Paul did you have a chance to maybe take a look on this?

having an issues with a site definition,  Error I'm getting is ... dynamically related files could not be resolved because of site defintion in not correct for this server,   This is also giving me a 404 error when using the live preview,   I can preview the website site if I type localhost/rootdirectory/ in the browser.  

Hello: After being unable to upload files today using DW 2020's built-in FTP client, I asked my host/server about the continuous failure to upload. The technician wrote this to me:> >  Hello Warren,In order to improve the security associated with FTP service and to avoid attack targeting to its port, we have modified the server-wide security setting from "TLS-1.1" to "TLS-1.2". Due to this reason you are facing the FTP connectivity issue. Please make sure that your FTP client is latest and it uses TLS-1.2. Assuming that DW 2020 has also upgraded to TLS-1.2, how do I activate that upgrade? Thanks, in advance.

Hello, I am trying to create an email signature using Dreamweaver. I using my MAC but also working with users that us PC.  I have a few questions: 1) Is there a way to make the table fixed? It will not go wider or taller then what I want it to. I have done width ?px and height ?px and the table still resized or disstorted.2) When I email someone my signature goes all over the place. The line is all the way right and the disclamer is also. Why is this? 3) When a user gets my email the line is missing entirely. Why is this?4) I am trying to create over a hundred email signatures so is there a way that I can create a template to where the table will just widen with whatever text is entered?5) Is there a better way to create an email signature that is more universal without it being just an image? I need it to work with both a MAC and PC.6) When I send the HTML file for a PC user to use, this is what I get in return. Why is this? As you can see it is all jumbled an

Does anyone know how to connect a folder to an existing server connection? My computer crashed and the sites I work on in Dreamweaver are only available by clicking the individual files in their respective folders. When I select "Select from Site," it has been cleared out. I can see all my credentials are in "manage sites" but don't know how to connect them. Thanks for any help.

I have CC 2014 and up to now it has all been going good.  I updated to Mojave yesterday and today I have noticed that when I try to preview a page it looks as though all of the CSS has been removed. Images too are also missing. If I preview in Firefox it opens and looks as intended. Does anyone have any ideas please? Thanks in advance!

I need to make changes to my developed site (10 years ago) with the CS6 version to add a single menu for all pages. I created a 'menu' folder containing menu.php.In the header of my pages, I add the instruction: '<? Php include' menu.php '; ?> '. According to the hierarchy, the pages of the site are not always displayed identically.Some present the menu, others the menu without the icons included, or no menu. On each page, links to CSS are present.Can you help me ?Cordially

I have been trying to upload a .psd file into my .html site and the extract panel is blank. It loads completely, but then doesn't give me an option to select my .psd file or upload a new one. I've tried logging out and restarting Dreamweaver, but it didn't work. This is the first time I have tried to use my extract panel, so any suggestions are greatly appreciated. 

Cannot get uploaded content to display online. It shows it's on the remote server, but won't display. Tried it on two different sites with same results.

I am editig a template in dreamweaver cc 2018. I am need to change some audio mp3 files, but i am not sure which js, css or plugin to look so i can change from the audio included in the template to the audio i want to see. Any leads will be greatly appreciated.

I keep getting error codes that say to close the special character, but it looks like it already IS closed...what am I missing here? Special characters must be escaped....looks like it's already there...  <meta name="resource-type"content="document"/>
