Dreamweaver

I just installed Dreamweaver 20.1 on my Macs. Suddenly the local view of a large directory of images (600+ files) only lists the first 400 or so. This has been observed so far only on a MacBook Air early 2015 running macOS Mojave 10.14.6; I don't know yet if my other Macs are exhibiting this. Not every large directory has this problem. Problem resolved by going back to 20.0. Has anyone else seen this?

I've had this problem for a few DW versions, since Mojave and now through to Catalina update, but my Dreamweaver will not interact with the Finder in any way. The only way I can open files is to double-click them from the Finder window, drag to the application, but the Open... dialog box will NOT show up. I also cannot Export Site Settings, which would also invoke the Finder window to save it out. Save As... of course also just fails. No alert, no message, they just don't work anymore. Anyone else experience this and what did you do to fix? Thanks!

I am new to Dreamweaver, and  I subscribed to Dreamweaver CC the fore part of this year and am using Adobe's Classroom In A Book 2018 for trying to learn this software.  For the most part, it works just fine, but I have run into some problems in Chapter 7 - Working With Text, Lists, And Tables.  In the Creating and styling tables section begining on page 213 starting with item # 19, the text instructs to "Press Tab" to insert a new row in the already created table. I'm using Windows 10 and Dreamweaver has been Updated, but the new row does not insert when I follow the instructions.  I realize that I'm using a 2018 insturction manual with Dreamweaver CC 2020.  Can anyone offer some insight or work-arounds?  In advance, Thank You!

My 2018 Mac Mini has macOS Catalina Version 10.15.3 with multiple monitors and an eGPU. Dreamweaver opens in the right monitor. I code in front and use left & right monitors for utility when developing. As my title bar is missing and I can't find a way to move the IDE to my center monitor, this application in Creative Cloud is unusable.

Hi,In the newer versions of Dreamweaver the basic task of selecting lines of code has changed. Unlike previously, selecting a line number in code view & then shift clicking another line number of code below does not select that chunk of code & no combinations of modifier keys works to select the code, aside from selecting a line number & dragging down nothing I can figure out works to that effect, Does anyone know how I might select multiple lines of code in code view without having to scroll. Scrolling tends to crash my machine. Thanks.

Hi, To make the vertical gaps between each bulleted line greater than the auto-line height of the wrapped text within the bullet... I need to add margin-bottom to the li tag. However, li is used for menu items, including nav. I need to target the <p> tags <li> only... in the CSS I started to write:  li p {margin-bottom: xx;}Can you confirm this is the best method that could work? Thank you.

Morning,I have three animated numbers I am wanting to place on a page. One needs a $ sign and the others don't. How can I call different js for the other two that don't need the $ in front of the number? I have a scroll back to top button that works fine when the web-page is wide. But when it is more narrow the icon disappears (but it is still present). How do I find a solution to this?

Hi All,I'm new to Dreamweaver 2020 and am trying to set up the Visual Media Query Bar.I have toggled it 'on' and 'off'. So I can see it's there. But I can't get the VMQ Colored Bars to actually appear.I have written Media Queries code directly into the CSS, and they do work properly with the code. But still no colored bars.I'd like to use this feature as it obviously allows me the ease of clicking right to the proper media sizing points, within the VMQ Bar. Seems like a great feature. But I continue to get no colored bars added.I've tried entering from both the side Proprties Panel, as well as the VMQB directly (with the "+" sign).When I try using the VMQB "+", I get in the 'options box' the choice of either 'Create a New CSS File' or 'Define a Page'. I don't get the option of adding it to my 'styles.css' page, as the 'how to' shows.If I use the 'Define a Page' option, it adds a new query to my CSS code, but again, even that still doesn't show up in my VMQB, ... no colored bars.What sm

i'm working on a personal website and dreamweaver crashed. i reopened dreamweaver and it asked if i wanted to recover the file i was working on so i clicked yes. but now i am unable to edit anything in my file. its acting as if the file is locked or as if i'm in preview mode. i am unable to select cells in the table i have inserted, i can't edit text, and my mouse shows my links are active when i hover over the link but the links aren't working. i am new to dreamweaver and i don't know if i'm having a program error or if i'm doing something wrong. can anyone help?thanks.

This is a new user question, so I am probably doing something stupid.I subscribe to Dreamweaver yesterday, and downloaded/installed.I love the new interface and how user-friendly it seems to be. PROBLEM: Some times after I close all open files, then exit the program, then come back into the program later in the day, here is what it does:(#1) immediately opens up around 10 files (they look like the last files I may have previously been working on)(#2) then freezes(#3) error message in the upper left and corner "program not responding"(#4) the only way I can get out of this frozen app, is to click the X in the upper right-hand corner. Then it asks if I want to wait or close the program. If I wait, nothing ever happens. So I click close the program. Then after this forced close, I can once again click on the desktop icon and load the program successfully. Is it possible to create a default screen for programing a webside where we have half of the screen "live" and the other half "code" and can be applied whenerer I start Dreamweaver?

Sorry. This is another newbie question from somebody who just upgraded to DW 20 yesterday (after using CS5 for last 5 years) In CS5, after “putting” a batch of files, it would display a summary  (for example: "1,000 files successfully updated, 0 files skipped") However, when running DW20 to “Put” a similar-sized batch, the “File Activity” box only shows me perhaps the first 200 lines of put files.  The following (for example) 800 put files are not shown in this particular window. Neither is there a “summary” at the bottom … UNLESS the “Put” operation has been very small (maybe for fust 150 files).   For a SMALL batch “Put”, I DO see a summary at the bottom. QUESTION:  How can a see a complete summary after each “Put” operation for ALL file batch sizes? 

I want to import my files into my trail version and then decide to continue with the new DW product.  Can someone help please?

Hello Lalita, I am using the latest version of Dreamweaver but I cannot seem to find how to use Drag and Drop. I am inSplit View as I also use some html for chemical formulas. I have 100's of pictures to up load in TN size but need to link a higher quality image to the TN.  I would be grateful if you can tell me if this is possible and how to do it.   I was using PageMill for years until I updated to DW.   Best regards, Gerald [Personal info removed by moderator]  

Here are some screenshots. The first one shows a template I created years ago in Dreamweaver CS5. I created around 500 child pages from the template at that time. Ever since, any changes I make in the BODY of the page DO update correctly in the child pages.   However, even though template has 3 meta-tags (title, description, keywords), around 50% of the CHILD pages only contain the "title" metatag, but NOT the description & keywords tags.  Today, February 2020, I upgraded to the description DW 20.  " very nice upgrade obviously, much more user-friendly. CHALLENGE: I would like to get those missing meta-tags into ALL of the child pages.  Theoretically, I was speculating that if I just made a change of any sort in the template "header" section, then selected "yes" when asked if I want to update dependent pages, that would ensure the child pages ended up with those c

I just subscribed to Dreamweaver version 20 today. It looks very nice interface.Previously I have been using old version CS5 which I purchased many years ago.Previously, after creating a template page, I would go back to file create page, highlight template in the drop down box, and click create.By doing so, I would be able to create unlimited child pages which would update when changes were made on the parent template.I don't see any way to create child pages in version 20.I called the "support" # . . . and the person said he "did not know how to create a child page". He put me on hold for 20 minutes (!!) then came back and asked if a supervisor could call me back.Is this for REAL???   Is this the support I get for paying $30/mo to subscribe?  Incredible.I THEN tried the adobe "chat" . . . the person said "send me a screen shot to " (an email address).I think Adobe support has really 'tanked' since the older days when I used CS5Well, I'll give it a shot here on the "for

Hi,This is perhaps sort of a weird question.  I used to have an older version of DW on a Win 7 computer years ago.  I used it to build a web site that is currently up and running.  I currently do not have DW on my new Win 10 computer.  And it has been years since I did any web design and have basically forgotten everything.  My question is this:  How can I access my website, without DW, and make changes to it?   I think I found an "ftp host address" and password for the site.  Is there a free app that would fairly easily do what I want to do? Thanks.

What kind of ritual do I have to do to get Dreamweaver to install on my laptop which has windows 10. I had no issues when I put on my MacBook. Which probably makes sense.  I don't remember it every being this difficult. Same issues with Photoshop
