Hello! I have problems getting the layout correct in when I finally upload a page to a server. In the original version of the page, a text (h3) was aligned to the right. My client wanted the text to be centered instead, so in styles.css I changed to:text-align:center; The text is now centered in code, also when pre-check in Chrome and Safari. When I upload the document to a server, the text is still to the right. Am I doing something wrong here? Thanks in advance for your kind answers.

Hello, I am really stressing trying to figure this one out so any help is greatly appreciated. The site I am working on is www.jessicalwhor.com and it is in its infancy stages, so please don't expect a fully-realized site. However, I'm having trouble moving past this initial issue. For some time, I was able to put changes on the domain rather easily, however now I am not able to. I recently updated the background image, but the changes are only displaying on my device (the local device) and not on my cell browser or on my partners laptop on any browser. I have tried all browsers, and have cleared the cache seemingly hundreds of times now. I even went so far as to download FireFox on a device that has never had FireFox installed. The new file that is to be displayed has a filename of "JessicaNew1.png" and the one that consistently displays no matter how frequently I remove it from the /public_html/ file is named "JessicaBackground.png." Recently I upgraded my Dreamweaver version to 2020, and suddenly I am unable to use the Server Behaviors extension--it's gone from my Window menu. If I go down to Extensions, it says, "No extensions available". My other computer that still has version 2019 still has Server Behaviors, so what happened to 2020? I would hate to lose the extension, especially since that functionality isn't built in to Dreamweaver anymore (which was an enormous mistake in my opinion; it was one of the best tools Dreamweaver had). (Yes, I know MySQL is technically depricated, but I have an app that will convert the Dreamweaver code to MySQLi. I just hate that Adobe basically abandoned what was probably the best part about its web software.)

I've started to handcode small, simple websites using HTML and CSS. But I'm coming up against the same problems: making responsive navbars / dropdowns, simple contact forms, slideshows and show/hide content. I don't know anything about JavaScript and this is probably beyond my understanding (I'm a graphic designer). I've looked into Bootstrap but it to me it appears very bloated, overly complicated and I don't like the idea of using a framework. I like the idea of writing my own code and knowing what it is doing. I'm looking for a tool / app that will help me make these features that I need help with. Would Dreamweaver help? Does Dreamweaver come with pre-built "blocks" or elements that I can simply add to my site and tweak? i.e. does it come with JS to do the heavy lifting for me? (For these elements I'll have to accept that I probably can't handcode them and will have to rely on pre-built elements)

I've just installed DW and opened the HTML pages of my website. However each file / page is shown in a tab across the top. There are too many tabs to fit into my screen, so I can't see most of my files (without scrolling to the right). This is a total pain.   Can my files be displayed in a side bar instead? Like Brackets Sublime and  BBEdit where the files are displayed in a side bar (and I can see them all)

https://www.durhambluesandbrewsfestival.com/The carousel on the home page has default gray bars on the sides, but on smaller screen sizes, this area moves above the photos, pushing them down and wasting screen space.  There are other carousels under the photo menu that respond fine. What's the difference on the front page?

After a CPU power failure I have a new desktop and am reinstalling software. I have successfully been using old versions of Macromedia Studio MX 2004; I know Adobe does not support these versions any longer, but they still work for me and I want to reinstall. My MX version installed fine and I was able to input my product key without it needing to validate with Adoble. However, my MX 2004 version was an upgrade, and when I enter my product key, it wants to register online or by phone. I know Adobe won't accept the registration any longer, so is there any way to use my MX 2004 software any more?

Hi All, I have been using Dreamweaver to create my website so I am fairly familiar with the software. I run a weather station which is capable of sending via ftp the weather data to my server in the form of comma seperated variables.My question is how can I import the data from the file into Dreamweaver so that I can develop a website that displays graphs and meters etc with the data from the weather station. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hello, I have built an email in Dreamweaver that has a bulleted section. In the HTML, there are two bullet points, but once I send a test email to myself, a third bullet point is appearing that does not exist in the code. Screenshots are included below. Is there a way to resolve this?

When I try to preview in the latest Dreamweaver I get this in my browser "You tried to access an external HTML page, which can not be opened on the device for preview. Open the page in Dreamweaver to preview the page on the device." How can I fix this?thanks...

Up until recently, Design view always displayed the CSS background color assigned to a cell, div, etc.  The website I work on has thousands of titles in white colored font, font colors display correctly...., and therefore I cannot see the text - as the background color (any color that's not white) is not diplaying in DESIGN view.  ....  Technically it's white on white.   Please do not suggest I simply switch to Live view to accomodate your change. It is not practical at all when I am editing multiple containers of text which I cannot see in Design mode.WHY DID YOU CHANGE THIS?  PLEASE BRING BACK background css color display.

This website of mine  is acting very strange. https://omg.fairwaysit.com It opens in browsers (Firefox and Chrome) but it has a shadow over it and no functionality (scrolling choosing menu options ect.) However, it opens in Safari desktop and works fine. Any ideas are greatly apprectiated Note:  I have cleared cache on all browsers and repeated with same results. I have been messing around with my index page a bit but don't think I've done anything relating to the link to the CSS file. http://www.victorianrailways.net/ The page just loads as straight HTML with no CSS formatting yet the CSS file is on the server.

I am making a site and keep running into this issue. When I upload to the host (GoDaddy) this random extra text gets added. I am at a loss as to why this happens. Here is what I am uploading:But..this is what ends up on the site I have no idea what is happening any advice is appreciated 

The bug API dreamweaver.findNext() does NOT work in CC 2019  has been reported and confirmed over 6 months.It sill exists in the latest CC 2020 (version 20).It there any way to push the fix? Thanks a lot,Aidy

In code view, when writing HTML for example, I type <h1> and the closing tag is automatically created.  I type my header text.I'm trying to find the keyboard shortcut that then creates a new line below the one I'm in and automatically moves me into the new line below.In Webstorm I simply hit Shift-Enter from anywhere within a tag to go to a newly created line below the one I'm in.Do I have to move to the end of the line, then create a new line below with enter?Thanks!

I just installed version 20.0 and was very disappointed in the speed of it everything is very sluggish, and I do not have a slow machine (I7 with 32GB of memory running windows 10).If I make a code change and I wand to select all the code (CTRL+A) it will take 15 to 20sec before it selects all the code.  There is no way to work with this in a production environment.I switched back to 19.2.1 Does any body have the same experience?

I need to create an image map on an image inside a DIV, but when I go into Design View, where I have to be, every effort I make to select the image so I can draw the map, the DIV selects instead.  Tried everything, can't get beyond the DIV. How would I do that? If I could also find out how to disable that Code Navigator aggravation, that would also help. Thanks.

I've followed all the steps to importing a website into dreamweaver the problem is when i open it in dreamweaver i only get code how do i get all my files back? and have the split, design options available to me.   

I have several file names that will not sync. This is happening on several different PC's and a Mac. It's also is happening on my local testing server and my remote hosting server. This problem seems to be a Dreamweaver issue. I have deleted all of the dwsync.xml files with no change. I finally made a file name with 100 characters that did sync. I added 1 colon to the name and it will not sync. I have colon's in my filenames because I'm adding a timestamp to the name so 12:37:03 in the filename prevents it from syncing. Is this a bug in Dreamweaver? I cannot find any documentation on this issue. I can replace the colons with underscores and the file does sync. 12_37_03 works.
