Dreamweaver

I just installed version 20.0 and was very disappointed in the speed of it everything is very sluggish, and I do not have a slow machine (I7 with 32GB of memory running windows 10).If I make a code change and I wand to select all the code (CTRL+A) it will take 15 to 20sec before it selects all the code.  There is no way to work with this in a production environment.I switched back to 19.2.1 Does any body have the same experience?

I need to create an image map on an image inside a DIV, but when I go into Design View, where I have to be, every effort I make to select the image so I can draw the map, the DIV selects instead.  Tried everything, can't get beyond the DIV. How would I do that? If I could also find out how to disable that Code Navigator aggravation, that would also help. Thanks.

I've followed all the steps to importing a website into dreamweaver the problem is when i open it in dreamweaver i only get code how do i get all my files back? and have the split, design options available to me.   

I have several file names that will not sync. This is happening on several different PC's and a Mac. It's also is happening on my local testing server and my remote hosting server. This problem seems to be a Dreamweaver issue. I have deleted all of the dwsync.xml files with no change. I finally made a file name with 100 characters that did sync. I added 1 colon to the name and it will not sync. I have colon's in my filenames because I'm adding a timestamp to the name so 12:37:03 in the filename prevents it from syncing. Is this a bug in Dreamweaver? I cannot find any documentation on this issue. I can replace the colons with underscores and the file does sync. 12_37_03 works.  

I have a Raspberry PI running LAMP on my local network.  I have SAMBA configured in both my PI and my Win 10 desktop.  I can browse the file system, on my Pi, from a Win 10 File Explorer, but Dreamweaver can't seem to do the same. I my PI is called "GOLLUM" and, in the Win 10 File Explorer I can access the PI using the following:\\GOLLUM\some_dirIn the Dreamweaver Site\Manage Sites dialog box, when I edit the "Site" I have set up, I navigate [by clicking the little Folder Icon] to the directory, on GOLLUM, where the "Test Site" code resides.  And, when I click "Save"\"Done" there are no complaints.I've also tried using the static IP address, and even attempted using "localhost", though I don't know what I doing, in that case.Nothing works.  I get a 404 error page in the preview pane.And, when I click F12, I get the following error message:"Access to \\Gollum\path\_notes\dwsync.xml was denied."Any ideas?

Im a IT student and started learning full stack web development with php,python and andriod, ios app development I need to know can windows tablet with 2gb ram and 64gb hardisk windows 10 or 8.1 plus 128gb sd card with intel atom z8350 processor handle softwares of programming language like vs code adobe dreamweaver ? and some other softwares like Adobe photoshop cs6, adobe xd , Ms office 16,internet browsing youtube etc. sorry English isnt my first language. I am curious why Adobe did not elect to have Node installed as a separate process as all other major IDE's do?  I already have Node running, so now I have separate out of version Node installs?

I am trying out the PaperScript js code using Dreamweaver and of course all the script text is white unlike javascript where it will identify each element by color. I was wondering how I could get PaperScript code to highlight like js, css and other codes in Dreamweaver.  

Ich habe bislang seit fast 9 Jahren problemlos auf einer Windows 7 Rechner mit CS4 WEB PREMIUM gearbeitet.Bestandteil des CS4 ist auch Dreamweaver. Doch seit kurzem startet es garnicht mehr.Auch kein Lizenzbild erscheint.Es passiert rein nix.Lediglich im Taskmanager taucht es auf.Auch nach 2 Deinstallationen von DW und danach Neuinstallationen haben nichts gebracht.Leider gibt es für alle DW-Versionen Updates nur nicht für CS4. (alle älteren und neueren sind in der Liste der Updates)Da offenbar fast jede DW Version so ein Problem hat aber immer anders gelöst wurde hoffe ich dass auch dieses Problem lösbar ist.Andernfalls habe ich für teuer Geld eine funktionsunfähige Schrottsoftware gekauft.Gibts da Abhilfe.Danke im Vorraus... 

I'm currentloy working in text editor based HTML.   Got a style sheet goin'. My copy of Dreamweaver 3 stopped working at 30 days.  No plans to buy an upgrade.  Gonna miss 3.  Attention and $$ is being drawn by CNC, right now.  A program called Mach3.  Get a lot of help from w3schools.com, but I don't know the right question to ask their site.

But it has already happened with a version of DW that it was clear that something was wrong with the version of DW. The person who answered tried to convince me that DW was right. After my answer to the answer he (or she - I don't remember) changed his position asking to use another version because something was really wrong. Unless mistakenly, the same mistake has been happening with the change of the 2019 DW version to 2020.Note the following:1. I'm currently trying to install Adobe Dreamweaver, but every time, it stops at 80.9% and will not move forward.  Yes, I am on Catalina, but I don't believe that should be impacting the installation?  It is the most recent version of Adobe Dreamweaver.  Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you. Ever since the Mac update a few weeks ago to Catalina, Dreamweaver has really been acting up.  I've had multiple crashes for no reason, slow updating of Live View when coding, and now, my biggest issue seems to be that the data_temp_dwid stuff that DW puts in until it updates with the server won't rectify itself and stays in my code which then does not allow me to update anything in Live View. How do I save the file without these and get back to work?  This has been super annoying. Q

Hi,Before this occurred, Dreamweaver was working fine, but there was an additional application after I downloaded Dreamweaver and a few other applications, and this additional application did not quit properly every time I went to shut it down. I was so frustrated, that I made a mistake, and placed it in my bin and deleted it. It had a blue and white icon and had two or three letters in white, and the only letter I remembered was the letter D and possibly A. After I deleted this application, Dreamweaver would not open and would crash every time I tried to open it. Since I got all of the build installations from the school's tech office, I went to my teacher. My teacher thought of uninstalling the Dreamweaver, but it would not install, so he placed it in the bin and empty it. But now when I open the install buttion this shows up, as well as using Muse. However, I never installed Muse before and now it would not install like in the photo. Please help me, since I need this for a project s

I can't seem to get JavaScript working in Live View. additionally, the options for Freeze and Disable JavaScript are greyed out for Live View. What am I missing? Mac OS 10.15.1Dreamweaver 20.0 (Java works in Live View in 19.2.1)

I updated to Dreamweaver 2020 yesterday. Then deleted the older 2019, I was asked whether I want to keep the preference settings - which I did. Now opening the new 2020 version none of my dozens of settings, workspaces, keyboard shortcuts are there. How can I get them all back?

I have this message that follows my mouse around. I've gone through every menu trying to get it to go away. How can I get this grey box to go away? Half the time I can't even see the text I'm editing because it is over it. I don't use Dreamweaver a lot but, I do have to create our weekly email in it and this box drives me crazy.

I have created a form in DreamWeaver, wen testing it. when I pressed the submit button, it would open the e-mail client and you would have to send the email. Is there any way to do it so that when the submit button is pressed it sends the infomation automatically?

Hi, First of all let me say that I am using OS X and as per the reply to my question here How do I make Dreamweaver scan for git I have installed the universal git version.I am now using the universal git version rather than the apple git version.  Git is now installed at /usr/local/bin/git and I have updated the preferences for Git in DW to reflect this new location as shown here:However, I now have a different problem.  I can use the git tools and commit, push, pull and so on just fine as long as I use them from within the git panel of Dreamweaver but when I try to open the Terminal to do something like secure commit using my GPG key, Dreamweaver doesn't open the Terminal and instead gives me the error "Dreamweaver could not locate git bash on your computer" as shown here:Just so you know that Git is working properly via the Terminal (as long as I manually launch the Terminal and navigate to my Git Repo - here is a screenshot of that:All Git commands work properly if I manu
