Dreamweaver

Is there a setting to align the cursor with the text in a high-def monitor? The cursor appears to be off by about 1/2 character which makes editing in design view nearly impossible. Testing different "insert" key setting was not helpful.Is there a way to prevent the code view from jumping to the top of document when you click on the area outside of a division? This was not a problem in 2017 versions. The code-design views does not jump.I tend to "park" my cursor in a non-text area to avoid entering unknown characters if I accidentally press a key.I set up keys to switch between code-design view (cntrl+Tab) and code+live view (cntrl+Q) to get around the loss of the one-click buttons in DW2017.DW2018  running in Win7 on 3840x2160 dual monitors.

i just started using dream weaver. I created a home page and save it on my desktop. Then I saved that as a template. I then attempted to add additional pages That will function as my links. So I created a new page for our work, about us etc.  then tried to do a hyperlink on the home page that takes me to one of my test pages. I went into live view, clicked on my first link text on the Home page. after Highlighted I clicked hyperlink, then it asked me for the destination folder And told me to save my new page first. I tried to save it under site templates where My home page was now located and it didnt work. Then I moved all of my files that I had just created to the original folder that they were in on the desktop. Then when I tried to open them back up, it is pulling the html and css of each page as two seperate pages instead of combining them under one tab. I’m lost and need help. Im just trying to link all my pages together So that my navigation flows.

I've looked all over the web and no one has seemed to figure out how to detect incognito on the Mac. All the scripts I have tested work on PC only. Has anyone figured this out? Here is an example of one working on PC. Test incognito or private browsing

I have investigated for a long time (too long) on the net (StackOverflow e.g.) without any success. The question is asked by many people but no one among the proposed solutions helps me. Bonsoir,Alors je créer un design a partir de deux templates de sites différents.j'ai réussi a avoir le design que je veux mais quand je met dans photos dans un certain style, le fichier CSS que je viens d'intégrer me bloque mon menu de navigation (Cf photos) Une idée que problème qu'il peut y avoir? Je ne pense pas que ce soit dans le codage html mais dans le codage CSS (sauf que la j'y connais rien) Site avec la barre de menu (sans ajouter le ficher CSS dans le codage HTML)Fichier CSS intégré dans le codage (zone sélectionnée)Apres insertion du fichier CSS, les photos marchent mais la barre de menu disparait (si j'enlever le fichier CSS, les photos ne fonctionne pas)Un idee? I have adobe 18.1 and when I open DW, the welcome screen (Quick Start) does not display. I have gone to preferences....general...and clicked "Show Start Screen" then click apply but it does not work...any help would be appreciated. I have also uninstalled and installed DW...didnt help

My firm has a vendor who created Dreamweaver Add-ons for us.  The custom extensions were uploaded to Adobe's site (I assume that means the exchange). It was a private invitation only group. The vendor was able to add and remove users. Adding a user triggered an invitation to the user to install the add ons.  We are using Dreamweaver CC, and we have Creative Cloud.  Existing users are okay, but the vendor no longer has the option to add or remove users from the group.  How can this be resolved?I tried a support chat, but was disconnected after explaining this a few times.

HelloI downloaded, installed, and tried to run DW CC 2018 for Mac. It won't run. I get the spinning beach ball like it's loading, but then it just quits. No error messages or codes, it just stops.Last year, CC 2017 did the same thing and I had to revert back to a version of CS6. Now, with High Sierra, running CS6 is not an option I want to return to again.Help!

Hi, I have a login system I made in dreamweaver cs6, I want my login (submit) button on my form to go to another webpage of mine. I dont know if I should be using server beahviors or somethings else. I still want my form validated by my MySQL database linked to my login system, just that when my members login, they go to my other website

Hi there,I'm completely new to Dreamweaver, but I have worked on websites a lot before. One thing Dreamweaver is offering, that got my attention, is the live view for code. I need to say that I was pretty confused when I activated "Live-Code" and couldn't edit my code anymore, but I found the Split option shortly after. Well, I am honestly very disappointed by the live view. When writing code I always need to stop after some typing since it is not fast enough to load really live. That's annoying. I have also tried viewing in browser, but that's the exact same speed like in Dreamweaver itself. Is that caused by some messed up preferences/options or is that how it is supposed to be? I mean... the support page about the real-time preview even shows it in REAL time, so my expectations shouldn't be too high, are they?

I am having a weird problem where some of my files are showing in the finder as 'html text' and some are showing as 'plain text'. The ones showing as html text are the only ones available in Dreamweaver when I try to use 'change link sitewide', only a few of my files are available, the rest are greyed out and I can't choose them.I've tried playing around with the files, resaving them, and sometimes they show as html text and sometimes plain text with no rhyme or reason. Hello,There is something very weird happening, the background image doesn't want to show up, although when I change the image for a different one, some images show up and others dont. Hi. I am now working on my school project which required me to create a website. For a easier management, i create a frameset.However, when i am reviewing my website in Chrome, i find that every time when i press the refresh button (F5), it will bring me back to the homepage.What should i do to correct this problem and let it stay on the same page??I found that this problem only happened when i am using Chrome cause I've try it on IExplore and everything is fine.Sorry for any grammar mistakes and i hope that someone can help me asap since i have to hand in the project before September.

I'm creating a website using Dreamweaver CC. I've created two pages already and have successfully attached the style sheet through the CSS Designer/Sources pane. However, when I come to add the style sheet to a plain HTML5 with no Framework, none of the rules apply. I'm an absolute beginner at this so can you please answer with detailed and simplified explanation as to what I'm doing wrong.

Hi folks,Stats:Windows 10 Dreamweaver 18.2 (build 10165)I'm having a problem where I hit F12 in Dreamweaver to run an XSL conversion to see the output.Everything has been fine up until this afternoon. I have a site full of numerous XSL files that transform into HTML output (some are text output) - these files are used for email body copy. There is nothing crazy about them. I have them associated with a test data xml file - transforms up until this point have been happening without so much as a second thought.I have a work laptop that stores my local copy of these files. I edit them on this work laptop - I also edit these same files from my home desktop via a network share. This has worked without issue for months. Both machines transformed them and let me see them.The issue is now my home desktop Dreamweaver install just crashes when transforming. It seems to create the temp file for preview (I can open that in a browser just fine), but after creating the file, Dreamweaver crashes. It'

All of a sudden, the file photos inside my LOCAL files Folders are completely randomly listed under their Folders.  This is true for all of the hundreds of folders in my local files. They are still alphabetically listed in the matching folders on my remote server!  This is crazy after 28 years on my web site using Dreamweaver.  When a folder only contains a few pictures, it is not difficult to find which one I want to "put" to the Remote Server.  But some of my folders have dozens of photos.  There are some 24,000 files on my site.   Did I do something to screw up my Folder contents? - More importantly, how can I get the individual files back in order?Thanks for any help here....Elaine

Have a photographic site four columns (223 px each) wide.  With small viewports would like to reduce to twocolumns wide.  Breakpoint I have been using is 30 ems.   I assume this is a wrong breakpoint as my site continuesto be four columns wide when viewed on my i phone SE.   When I use the slider in dreamweaver to check my mediaquery, the change to two columns occurs around 480 px.   Don't know if this phone has a retinal display but couldthat be part of my problem?    Would appreciate your help.Also would like to use the swipe feature to move from one larger image to another.   Understand dreamweaver doesn't helpme with this.   I haven't willingly used javascript.   Is there a site easier to use than the one suggested year or two ago?Thank you,henry hawkinswww.henryhawkins.com/gypsy
