Dreamweaver

Okay allow me to being by stating that I'm not even sure if this is a Dreamweaver questions, so if not just direct me somewhere else. Basically, I am trying to figure out if I can make an interactive mind map for a website. So the page would start in the center of the map, and then when the guest clicked on one of the nodes, view would move to a different part of the map. I would want it to move sort of like a Prezi. Does that make sense? I want to do this because I created the map as a single graphic and it was far too small. I'm sure there is probably a way to do it with code, but I'm no good at web design (though I wish I was I have so much respect for those people). Any help would be greatly appreciated, and thanks in advance!

HelloMy old computer died a horrible death.How can I get my SN/Activation Code and a CS4 download to put it on my new computer?I can still access my registration (regedit), if it's there AND I can open the application, after I wait 20+ minutes for the computer to boot and another 10-15 for the app to load.Shouldn't Adobe have a record, since they are marshaling over the installation codes and registration? Have un/reinstalled twice after not being able to reproduce this problem with an Adobe agent and agents have no idea what I am even talking about:Upon quitting Dw, (no problems during use), I get an error report pop-up "Dreamweaver quit unexpectedly" but it did not. I quit the application!When I relaunch, Dw loads the last files I was working with even though I close them all out before quitting. Also, if I select Dw to open a file, the file does not open until I quit the program and reopen again.macOS high sierra 10.13.6 (17G65)

Hello All,I have been performing edits to my webpage via the local files pulled from my FTP server by Dreamweaver CC 2018.While performing these edits, I could always see the images that I input into the site in Live and Design view, and the images pulled from the site would appear in Live and Design view as well. I must have changed a setting, because now all images appear as generic image error icons while I am in Live or Design view. When I preview the page in a browser, the images do not appear at all. The images are still working correctly on the actual hosted website available to the public. I have not pushed out an update to the website since this setting changed. I am concerned that I will break the images somehow if I push a site update before fixing this preview issue. Anyone run into this? Thank you.

I'm getting the following error when trying to connect to remote server to sync my website. Using SFTP protocol on port 22 and this has worked fine for years.An FTP error has occurred - cannot open server folder /httpdocs/. Access denied. The file may not exist, or their could be a permission problem.Using latest dreamweaver (as of 8-10-2018) version. I've replicated this error on two separate computers that were on different networks (with different isps) and it is the same so i'm pretty sure its not a firewall issue. I can connect just fine (using sftp) to the server with filezilla and see all folders so this does appear to be a dreamweaver issue. When i connect with dreamweaver the httpdocs folder is invisible when connecting to  root "/" and gives the above error when connecting directly to the httpdocs folder. Anyone have this problem before?

I am using old version of Dreamweaver CS3 had limited licences. No idea how many were actually  purchased (was near about 10), but recently got message during activation that license exhausted. But we are not using more that 3-4 licenses.1. How do i know that how many licenses are used.?2. Is there any way to reset all and then activate the required one. (As i have discarded old PC's in which it was installed)?

How do I preview a page in Safari as I used to do in cs3?

I use Animate CC 2017 on a Mac and generate output as html and js files. I use the following code to call one html file from another:this.downarrow.addEventListener("click", function (event){  window.open("SkeletalLL3.html", "_self");});It works just fine. However, is it possible to add some additional code that doesn't start the called html file from frame 0 but rather goes to another labelled frame further down the timeline?Thanks

this is the screen I get when launching dreamweaver. how do I fix it?I have uninstalled all of CC apps and adobe cloud and reinstalled. didn't fix it.also installed program an a different windows 10 machine and same exact issue. other apps install and run perfectly. just an issue with dreamweaver.

I am having issues with Code View not showing any code.Some file open fine, some open with no code.  When I code the file and reopen it usually shows the code fine.Switching between Code, Split, and Design does not fix the issue.It happens when I open single files or multiple files at once.I am on Dreamweaver CC 18.1 Build 10155How can I fix this so that the Code View reliably works again?Micah

I just download the latest update (10165 Build) in DW 18.2 in hopes that the code view would appear faster, but now it is completely blank, and not just slow, but no text available. (I've been waiting 15 minutes).  I am on Mac High Sierra 10.13.3. Is there a way I can see the code? I need to update the website, but can't figure out how to do it without some text.

Hello ForumI'm redesigning a client's website and one thing they still want is the programs map which I created through an old version of Dreamweaver involving image swap on rollover of 20 different hotspots on the map. It seems clumsy, or clunky considering what might be available these days.Any advice on how I can accomplish this in today's world of responsive web design? If you look at the map of Wisconsin on a laptop or tablet, it still works. But on phones it doesn't. I think it changes where these hotspots are as the map scales down to fit on the page.Ideally I wouldn't have to have 20 different image rollovers, but would still like the effect of the highlighted radius and a box that pops up showing program location, etc.And I know, it might not be so "practical" to have such a map on small phones, but the client wants it.Thanks for any help!DaveWisconsin Association for Homeless and Runaway Services | Programs

Hello,starting dreamweaver is very slow. I mean, Atom Editor opens in like 1-2s and you can use it like notepad to change fast some files. With Dreamweaver the open a file it takes about 10-20s.Same with this forum, you click on the link and it takes like 20-30s till the page opens lol.

This is become a huge problem for me as I cannot access client's sites using DW 18.2 also tried with an old DW 6 and still cannot. It seems that DW does not save the passwords. I cannot keep doing this, can someone give me an update on this situation PLEASE?

Hello,Incorporating an svg file in html5 I have no problem to reading it on the web, but if I read it on smartphone or tablet yes.The font used in the svg file is Maestro (a musical font), which I suppose is not present in the two devices (iPad and smatphone).Is there a way to properly read the svg file on smatphone and tablet?I imagine I need to edit the css file by inserting the Maestro font in the body or something like that, but: is it linked via the web? Or should I distribute it? Also do you know if the font Maetro can be distributed by anyone?Many thanks.Jhon.
