Dreamweaver

The real-time preview option only works when I save the document in Dreamweaver. When clicking the real-time preview button, my page renders perfectly in Chrome. However, if I make changes to the page, the changes aren't reflected on the preview page in Chrome until I save the document in Dreamweaver. According to the documentation, the real-time preview should show my changes as I'm typing. It doesn't. Once I save, the page automatically refreshes and my changes are shown.I shouldn't need to save for the changes to show.Why isn't this working?I have just installed the suite onto a new PC. It wasn't working on my Windows 7 PC and now it also doesn't work on a fresh install on a Windows 10 PC, so it must be a problem with Dreamweaver or its settings.Any ideas?Thanks

Hello All,Dreamweaver cs 6.I am having a problem with design it shows the page like it has no css and things are missing and all in the wrong places as well.These are downloaded templates from different sits.Oddly enough when I open them  for the first few times it works.Thank You

This app on a MAC is a complete joke to use, how Adobe can release this and say it finished is beyond me.

I'd like to have a web site with "Times new" font.I set this font in the .css file in this way:____________body {  font-family: "Times Roman";  font-size: 14px;  line-height: 1.42857143;  color: #333;  background-color: #fff;}____________and this work properly  on the web also ipad but not in the smatphone that show the font like "Arial".I'm missing something?Is there a way to set also in the smartphone the same font that I have on the web?How?Thanks.

hello guys , i m working on a project i m using mysqli in that, but have used only mysqli for form inputs like login or reg. now i m creating pages to show only data using recordset, so my question is " is it still secure? " .

So i'm writing my code, i'm trying to make my first page. I did a div header with my logo in it, a div nav and div article, in this order.The thing is, when I see the code and design in dreamweaver, I can see everything looking how it is suppose to look. It seems fine, until I try to see a live preview in a browser. What is suppose to appear first appears third and what is third.. does not appear actually but whatever. I'm new to making websites.How it is in dreamweaver: div logo, nav and articleHow it is in Edge, Opera or another browser: article (which does not appear lol), nav and logo.I tried to figure it out.. I just don't understand, my code is written correctly. The browser seems to don't respect the chronology of what I've wrote.I also have some strange yellow bars around my different sections and I want them to disappear. DW18.2 on MacOS 10.13.6I have used DW’s standard date insertion thingie for many years.  It’s  currently done by Insert—>HTML—>Date.  I check the “Update automatically on save” option in the dialog.  That puts something like   <!-- #BeginDate format:En2 -->22-Jun-2018<!-- #EndDate -->in the markup. I position the date near the end of my pages, not that the position should matter.   This generally works exactly as I expect: the last-modified date of the page is shown below my content and automatically updated following subsequent edits.Trouble is, this often gets corrupted.  Typically the trailing “—>” is duplicated so an arrow becomes visible to the right of the date in Design View and, ultimately, in the visitor’s browser.  In a short time, this one arrow typically grows to multiple arrows.I can fix this easily enough when it happens, but … this should not happen, agreed?I can’t spot any pattern to the corruption,

I have created my website using dreamweaver Ultra Dev4 but I have recently been told that my website needs to be mobile friendly in order to get better rankings on google.I had no idea that it wasn't already mobile friendly and I have no idea how to make it so.If anyone can help, it would be much appreciated. By the way, I am a complete novice when it comes to websites and I know very little about the Dreamweaver program. In fact, I am very surprised that I even managed to get my website online in the first place. Please make any answers as easy as possibble to understand especially for someone as thick as me when it comes to web design etc.Also, if anyone can offer suggestions on how to optimise my website for search engines. Dreamweaver cs5 just created 128 faults today on my Windows computer.  How can I remove it entirely?  Will removal affect other changes?

Is it possible to buy a later version than my current 5.5 on CD?  I don't want to be tied to the "cloud" and have to pay a monthly fee instead of a one time charge?

Thanks for looking at this post.  Sometimes when I high light certain pieces of code (images ect.).  DW will briefly underline that code and put a line under the code of similar items.  It seems like Dreamweaver is allowing me to make changes to all those items at the same time.  Just hitting the delete key does not delete all; which is a good thing most of the time.  After researching the issue, I'm still wondering if there is a combination of keys that would allow editing all those underlined items similar to how Emett works.  I use Emett when items are sequentially stacked one after another with shift alt keys.  However, These underlines I see DW place on like items are not all ways stacked so I believe Emett would not work .  I have concluded that DW is just pointing there are similar items.  I just want to double check with the experts for direction on this.  Your support is appreciated.

I forgot: When sending the site visitor to an off-site link via"<a href- . . .", etc., is it best to add the qualifier "target=_new", to be sure the user returns to the page she started from? My intuition says "Yes, use it" (otherwise you depend on visitor's remembering to use the 'back' arrow on browser), but I would like a confirmation from one of you.Or, maybe I just answered my own question (?).Best,jwc

I'm learning both HTML and Dreamweaver. I copied a small amount of code directly out of a book and it works as intended in Brackets, but not in Dreamweaver. It is a few lines for creating a grid. I intended a grid layout of five lines of four boxes across, each. That's how it looks in Brackets viewing of page. But in DW, it comes out as twenty lines, vertically stacked. Yo los conocía de la versión CS6 y me parece muy mal que los hayan eliminado por no querer actualizar el tipo de código que escriben a las versiones actualizadas. Los usuarios pagamos lo mismo por algo que es bastante menor. Espero que lo subsanen y lo vuelvan a integrar con el código actualizado a los estándares de hoy. Un saludo

When you install an external validator extension, Dreamweaver lists its preferences in the W3C Validator category of the Preferences dialog box.That's all it says about external code validators -- the material just below is about using the W3C validator.My question:    How does Dreamweaver support external validators?Looking for interface description.  A simple example would be nice, too.TIA

The link is contained at this position (row, column). After having closed the page or document open trough this link, the cursor should be re-positioned at least in the row/col containing the link (not precisely on the link itself if it is preceded by a text, a small logo, or by anything else. If it is possible, what is the best way to do it?

By default the Document and Live View Windows are linked so that whenever you select an element in one window the other window relocates to the same place.I find this is particularly annoying, and would love to be able to have them behave independently of each other with some facility for the user to synchronize them manually (perhaps with a right click command).Is this possible?If not, are there others out there who feel the same and would like to see this facility added in the future?

Hi everyone.I am fairly new to coding, especially in Dreamweaver.. So hopefully some of you can help. I am looking to figure out why I have such inconsistent spacing and resizing within sections of my site. I know my question probably isn't making much sense, so I have included some screenshots of various window sizes to show what I am talking about - I am sure you can notice right away what I am trying to fix.Any help is greatly appreciated. I can attach css code screenshots also if it is necessary.

I have a little issue here, it's pretty annoying and if i could i would remove it from dreamweaver.So i've added a stylesheet to my html (that wasn't created yet) and clicked on it under the tab menu where your "Source Code, style.css, script.js" etc is showing.When i clicked on that stylesheet it open some not working preview window of my page that i can only close by closing the whole index and open it again.That is really bad, i see no reason why anyone would wan't a preview window of your website by clicking on a non existing stylesheet, makes 100% no sense for me.
