I have used Dreamweaver and Bootstrap 3 in the past to ceate simple bootstrap sites but I have been asked to create a site which...a) is full screen width.b)menu stays at topc) multipage - not single scrolled page.6) carousel on home page which covers full screen - scalable to device width.The example website I have been given is at:https://www.thaikhun.co.uk/I have looked for templates already out there but they mostly only cover single page websites...I am using Dreamweaver CS6Thanks in advance for any tips where to get started - ! Has anyone ever seen this bar at the top of their design page before.Not sure if you can see the purple bar, but I don't know where it came from.  As a result, my menu and blockings aren't working - locally or live(web).Any thoughts as to what happen?Thanks.

Hi Everybody,Since the update on DW18, my saved connections via SFTP dont work anymore. FTP still works.Error saysAn FTP error occurred - cannot make connection to host. Your login or password is incorrectIt worked before the update and it still works with Filezilla with the same settings ...Does anybody have an idea?Iris

I can't figure out how to turn this menu on. I have not found it anywhere in the program and the course I'm taking uses it constantly.

Let me completely honest… I have no idea what I’m doing and I don´t know how to use Dreamweaver, however, I’m trying to do something that is (hopefully) very simple.Here’s the problem: I recently changed my hosting provider and our contact form stopped working; someone in customer service explained to me (without success) why my php script doesn’t work with their servers. I told him I had no idea how to fix that, so, he was kind enough to give me a php and an index file with a contact form that works.Next, I opened Dreamweaver, copied the new contact form over the original, replaced the php file in the server and, for some reason, it just doesn’t work. The website goes blank after I click "SEND".Does anyone know what's going on? I thought this was just a simple copy-paste trick… Thanks in advance!

Hello, all,I've got code in place that, when a select is changed, the select parent will be removed from the containing div it is in and .append() it to another containing div.  That much works like a charm.However, two things happen when this action is completed.  First, the CSS that was applied to the object contents disappears.  Second, the onChange event handler no longer works.How can I re-apply the CSS to the contents, and then reinitialize the onChange event handler?V/r,^ _ ^

The first time I went live it bunched up on laptops and smart phones and I thought I fixed this error with using imagesloaded but they still bunch up on smart phones. I just updated to Dreamweaver CC 2018 a couple of days ago at work.  I got my site migrated over.  When I try to upload an individual file to my test server it works fine, but when I try to move a folder, it takes the folder, but not any of the folder's contents (the children). I assume it's a parameter setting, but I can't find it.  I located the parameter setting and turned it on, but it keeps failing.  It will move the top level folder, and one sub folder, then fails on all other sub-folders and contents then turns the dependent file parameter prompt back off.[Here is the list of all Adobe forums... https://forums.adobe.com/welcome][Moved from CS6 & earlier Creative Suites to specific program forum... I updated to Dreamweaver CC 2017 two days ago. Since then, at some point during each day, when I open a file, I get a message that says something like this:Encountered a sharing violation while accessing C:\Users\<myusername>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweaver CC 2017\en_US\Configuration\Temp\DownloadCache\RPH1877.css.The actual file cited at the end varies, but the path is always the same. I have tried renaming or deleting both the Temp and DownloadCache folders, but it does not solve the problem. I've reviewed several older posts that suggested solutions from not allowing Windows Explorer to index the content of files to turning off Details Pane, but none of these have worked. I have also closed my browser and ensured that no processes were running to make sure that wasn't the issue, as it apparently was for one person in the past.I'm pretty close to reverting to a previous version of the software. Does anyone have any idea why the software might be doing this?

Since the last update, DW is very slow, going to top or bottom of the code takes almost 3 seconds (about 700 lines).To open files, 100 lines, takes almost 5 secondsAny ideas to improve?

What in the world could I have done? I went to save and export a copy of my website as I'd made several changes and when I went to view manage site, what did I find? Several copies of my "my website" and one at the bottom that even had my name on it and don't use. How do I know which, if any, to delete? (How did I ever get my name as a copy of the website when it was named "my website"?)Thanks for any thoughts.

I'm working on a site and I want a fixed background-attachment. It seems to work fine when I run it off of the server, but for some reason when I am running it off Dreamweaver's Real Time Preview in Chrome, the background scrolls opposite of the web page. This is an odd quirk that I've only seen in Dreamweaver, but it works fine on all other browsers when it is run off the server. Thoughts?Code is appropriate: body{ background: url("backgrounds/tree_lined2.jpg") fixed; }HTML just shows <body class="container">I also tried separating and explicitly defining background-image and background-attachment and it still didn't make a difference.

Hello,I have a problem with Dreamweaver and although I want to save a html file to my network drive, DW creates an MFC5717.tmp file and after quitting the document the HTML file disappears. But only on this drive does it happen and not if I edit and save it on a different network drive. Can someone help me maybe.thanks

Essentially the statement above. I was working on a website in Dreamweaver for a client (one of the few times I even bother with dreamweaver) and everything was going well  and I was working in my CSS document until dreamweaver froze for a second, and then everything was gone. My entire stylesheet, 6 hours of work, gone. So I closed the program and restarted it and it was still gone. Suffice it to say I am absolutely livid at the moment and I would like to know if there is a way to restore a file erased by dreamweaver? Otherwise is there a way to get a refund for this useless excuse for a program?

As an example, I view my page in Live View and do File/Real time preview  The Chrome browser opens at http://127.0.0.1:58135/preview/app/index.html   as expected.  If I then double-click an element in my Live view page to bring up the edit box I should be able to change some text and see it reflected in the RTP.  I only see the change  reflected in the Chrome window if i both save my change and do a Reload of the page in the Chrome windowall the pages in my site are .php files as I use includes to bring in blocks of standard code.  Do pages have to be .html or .htm for this feature to work? I am using DW CC 2017.1 build 9583thanks in anticipation

Hey, I've been using the new DW 2017 for a few weeks and the auto bracket closing is driving me up a wall. (As well as auto quote closing).  I haven't been able to find a setting to turn it off though? I have code hinting and auto completion disabled but brackets still auto close on me. Its frustrating me to a level that I'm considering ditching DW over this. Any help would be swell. thanks!

I am trying to edit this HTML template but not having any luck as I said I  don't know what I'm doing, but I know enough to get in trouble. Want to see if somebody could help check the code.
