Need to edit grayed out <style> properties

A few years ago I put some styling inside <style> tags in my html document to test some things and they wound up staying there without getting transferred to the .css document.  Now I'm trying to edit them or remove them but they're grayed out.  They are overriding anything I put in the .css file. lost ftp when changed sub dir file access manager help please

Dreamweaver works fine, went to server and pass word protected two sub domains. also changed server Login ID but kept same ID login. Worked fine, now I cannot get Connected. There may be new rules. but I have 2015 dw, and 8.1 win, cannot upgrade and do not want too. Just go back to uploading, worked for years, no issues. bookoflife.orgI password protected to sub domains, bookoflife/alpha and gamma/m but not others.Why cannot my regular server FTP work as it always had?need help. still trying to figure this out?"Important: As of January4, 2017 all FTP sessions will require an FTPS connection along withTLS 1.2 protocol support for increased system security. Best way to deal with server side includes in 10-year old website

I have a client's site with over 800 articles, originally done in .asp using server-side includes. Recently I updated Dreamweaver to 2018 cc which no longer shows these includes. I've spent several days trying to figure out the best way to deal with this problem. A good portion of each page is built using these, in particular a very long list of stories that uses an extension that creates a tree menu that opens and closes - way too much code to have on every page.I've figured out a way of doing it with jquery, but I still can't see anything unless I'm in live view, and I have to keep uploading the css over and over to see it. I'm finding it difficult and very slow to work this way.Would it be better for me to go back to an earlier version of Dreamweaver that allows me to see them (this seems like problems for some future day), or convert the whole site to php so I can use that type of include? Or some other method?Also, I'm not a coder, I'm a designer, so it can't be too complex.Thanks

Remove Google Maps, but "remote file and cannot be edited"

Hello to all. I'll give a brief description and use pictures to the situation:I'm using a Bootstrap template that has a Google Maps location script near the bottom. However, it is not working. I have no problem removing it - and perhaps trying another in the near future. One concern is will it leave space when I remove it because this is what shows as of now -> Once it's removed as long as space is enclosed that would be fine.Second, as I check all the Source Codes I noticed how the last 7 javascripts (.js's) are all "remote file(s) and cannot be edited".EACH of those 7 are all Google Maps-related , so they are in the way and online so I don't care if they can't be edited...but I want to know if/how I can get them outta there??? As you can see above it reads I can't do anything with it as they are not in any of "my" source files. Which like I said is fine. I just want it gone from my DW page and maybe find another way/source to put in another Google Maps or maps source. (if anybody

Manage Submitted PHP Form Information

What I want to do is set up a form on my website and collect information.I can create the form with css and html and link it up with a .php file, but I'm not sure what to do next.How do I organize the information submitted in the forms I create?Can you recommend a system for me to use? Or something to research?I'm sure I can get the information submitted to be sent to my email, but of course, this is inefficient to have this data spread out in hundreds  or thousands of emails. So, what should I know to approach this problem? It would be nice if there is a program or plugin or script of some kind to handle this sort of thing. Recommendations appreciated. Right now, just getting my head wrapped around this would be helpful. Cheers.

Will the demise of Muse change anything?

NO I AM NOT TALKING ABOUT DREAMWEAVER.If a company as big as Adobe cannot make a visual web design tool work in the long term, then what chance do all the replacment options that people are talking about as replacments for Muse, have for the longer term.Those who remember back to those dark days of software programming, will also probably remember all those programs that also attempted to make software programming easy. They also used a visual system with pre-written coding elements, (including drag and drop) and required very little actual code to be written by the user, with users saying that it should not be necessary to actually learn how to code.Muse and its replacements are being sold as the equivalent solutions in evolution for the web, as dtp programs and laser printers were to typesetting and screen printing. The problem I see with that comparison, is that the workflow and requirerments of dtp when it came had already been established over hundreds of years, and were not a sti

Strange temp/duplicate/cache files?

Hi all,I've tried searching the forums and Google for an answer to this, but haven't come up with any answers. My problem is that Dreamweaver CC 2018 is creating sort of duplicate local files that get pushed to the testing server (e.g., 'editDetails.php', 'editDetails_T0FTN694UO.php', 'editDetails_T1J39694W3.php'). That server then uses these files instead of the "correct" file, so the QA team complains to us that we're not making the fixes when their browser keeps hitting 'editDetails_T1J39694W3.php' while the URL reads 'editDetails.php.'We've tried turning autopush and synchronize on and off, but it doesn't seem to make any difference. It's like these are some kind of temp file that Dreamweaver just isn't cleaning up. I've tried switching from Live preview to Design, but it still keeps wanting to default to Live preview. Any ideas on what these files are and how to keep them off the test server aside from manually finding and deleting them? Thank you!Vince
