Hello my name is Rowin and i made webpages in Photoshop(the design). now i have also made the navigation between the pages and everything. But now i want ot insert a video in some of my webpages. But when i do this with the html 5 video code, it messes up the background image(from photoshop). Does anybody know what to do about this? I would really appreciate it...

After seven years with ServInt, I am researching other VPS providers. Over the past four days, My server has been down about 15 times, for periods of a few minutes to over an hour. I have an operating site at http://fusion.enwphotos.com which I would now like to update with a new download link. The graphical interface thumbnail image went into place as expected, but the .pdf document (which the surfer downloads upon selecting the thumbnail) did not upload as expected.This is strange to me, b/c in many prior instances, as in <a href="___" title="___"><img src = "___"></a>, I encountered no issues. I simply wrote the code, saved the page with 'auto-put on save' enabled, and all required files were 'put' to the remote server with no problem. The only difference here is that the file is much larger (12 MB). So, in a case like this, can I intervene directly with Dreamweaver, and explicitly upload the file to the desired location on the remote server, and if so, would one of you please point me in that direction.

I have to make links to pictures "absolute" links for constant contact.However, if you look down at the bottom of the page to the left, the little page is broken, however, the actual link i have is correct. Thats the link to the folder that every other picture on this email is in, so im confused on why the link is broken for just this specific picture?

Furthermore, I've tried several times on several different days to go through the Contact Customer Care page and the only result is ever the community board (there's not even an option to mark Dreamweaver as the product, so I have to select "Creative Suite"). when ever I open Dreamweaver, after 10 seconds, it crashes! I don't know what to do.

I need some help resolving the following scenario as it's causing updates to not get uploaded to the live site.1. I open a file in DW and make some changes.2. I save the file which triggers automatic upload of the file.3. Dreamweaver thinks the file on the server has changed since I last uploaded the file and wants me to confirm my desire to upload the file.4. I miss the confirm window and after 30 seconds the transfer times out resulting in the file not getting uploaded.5. I think the file was uploaded and email the person who requested the changes, informing them that the changes are complete.6. I get an email back asking why the person still gets the old version of the page.7. I check and find out that the file with the chages never uploaded.To solve this, I have tried synchronizing the entire site. Hi all,I'm using a quite old version of Dreamweaver (Dreamweaver MX 6.1) but it's enough for me. Till I switched to W10 no probleme. But now Ctrl F5 doesnt erase the  cache. Visitors need to use Ccleaner to up date my pages.My question : does it exist a line (code) to be inserted in the dreamweaver programme that erases the computer cache of visitors (at least the files of Dreamweaver) when the website opens ?Thanks

Hi,Applied a script for smooth scroll for a few button anchors. The only problem is it is also affecting my navicon dropdown nav... I do not want those two to interact in any way. My navicon nav functionality only became flawed when I applied this new smooth scroll script. How might this be altered to ignore all else going on?This is the one I used... an ID is applied to each section:Smooth Scrolling | CSS-Tricks Also, one more thing. Because I have a sticky header at the top and these button links to smooth scroll are in the body of the page... I am finding they are dipping a bit below the top of the section (covering up the first part of the section). How might I resolve that so the header height is acknowledged and factored into the drop distance.Thank you.

So, for some reason, DW has now decided that all background images uploaded from today won't show on the browser preview. All previously loaded background images are present but any alterations to these placeholders are just showing a blank space. Why? All images in my adobe creative cloud wont load in browser, but will upload from a local directory.

To simplify and streamline my website, I recently deleted access to two pages from my website, but see that all files related to these two pages are still in all files on my desktop and in my local files. Is it worth my while to go ahead and delete all files from the Dreamweaver website files on my desktop to further streamline my website and to remove bloating? (I think my concern and fear is that I might possibly or accidentally delete something I use on other pages.)

Hello:Not long ago I remember Dreamweaver asking me "Do you want to include dependant files  (Yes/No....Don't ask me again.).  Now, I can't escape dependant files being uploaded.  I also get a message with this menu: "....The files on your server are newer than this.  Are are sure?..."  This doesn't make sense either, since the current file (page) in question is, in fact, the newest revision.  My question is: "How can I disable these silly menus?"  If I want to include dependant files why can't do this manually.  As for the second menu, this is baffling.  I'm being slowed down to a crawl, especially with text files.  I've tried everything I've read online, including the Permissions box in Dreamweaver Mx, and nothing works. Very frustrating, when I go to insert an image I no longer get the window to select my image. Instead, it just inserts a small gray box with an ( X ). The company that I upload my stories to has just changed their server and the new server doesn't handle non-ASCI letters. I've had to go back and edit all my stories to add the correct HTML code for è and ö and á for example. But I have some text that for some reason I can't edit. Dreamweaver has a LESS document file in which to choose from. Does this mean, instead of writing typical CSS, we need to learn this alternative language called LESS and now write in that format?Realize the net is full of resources & tutorials - but why is LESS not available as a section for learning on w3schools? - Only CSS and other things like Bootstrap, Angular, etc...Anyhow, wanted other people's thoughts on this, and to know if you are writing in this alternative language from the ground up. Leads me to my next question, if using Bootstrap, do we just immediately create a .LESS file and start calling up the styles from the default Bootstrap .CSS file "library" to re-style as needed? Is that the method/technique you are using?Thanks.

I use DW rarely, so I never noticed this til recently. When I open a page in DW, the coding screen looks all garbled. See attached screen shot.Any thoughts on this?

On my computer everything looks fine.But when I upload the files, it takes time to update the files sometime.I thought the server was slow but now I see it doesn't update when I login to remote  server.When I upload the files I use  , Arrow for put file to remote server also tried the , circle arrow for synchronize with remote server...I remember on blackboard,  no stupid question,Thanks for readingJames
