Hello,I've created a site (www.svetcovlmft.com) that uses a bootstrap responsive menu.  The menu appears just fine on every device except an iPhone.  The menu doesn't appear on the iPhone, the background appears, but no menu items. I have my site on a FTP through dreamweaver. It is connected to remote server. If I make changes in the code I can "Put" the files to the server and it will make the changes accordingly on the live site.For some reason in Dreamweaver, I have the display set to "split", half code half live preview. But the live preview doesnt display any information. Any ideas on this and how to get it displaying the live preview? Id like to have it set up so I can adjust on Dreamweaver and see the results without having to upload the file to the server.Thanks!

I noticed this has gone unanswered in other threads, but thought I would try again.In Dreamweaver when I open the Extract window everything is grayed out. I was trying to follow a tutorial from Adobe, but I can't get the window to work. I signed out and back in. When I re-opened Dreamweaver the window was briefly active, but then grayed out again.Update:Tried a third time and it is now working properly!?Not sure - maybe I tilted my head in the correct direction

I have a main domain and I configured DW to upload changed content via FTP - all good so far.I added a subdomain and again configured DW to upload changed content via FTP - still good.Now the problem:I edit a file on the subdomain then..If I go back to the main domain and sync with the server, the subdomain file is sent.That makes sense I guess as the subdomain is just a sub-directory off the root (where the main domain files are).It's just that I don't want that to happen. If it edit index.html in main and subdomain, I get a conflict.I am new at this and I assume I did something wrong. I only have one ftp account (the original for the main domain) and the configuration differs in the root directory and the WEB URL.Not sure what other information is needed for a diagnosis - best to ask. Is this normal or have I done something wrong?I want to be able to update the two WEB sites independently.ThanksJack

I have been having the same problem pasting into code for weeks, maybe longer. Often, when I paste into code view the code appears in Design or Live view and not at all in the code view, not even the special characters for angle brackets etc. or any of what was copied appears in code view, nothing appears in Code view other than the code that had been there before the pasting.  I can paste the same code into TextEdit, BB Edit, Brackets, MS Word. Not Dreamweaver. This was never an issue in prior versions (I started with v.2 in the late 90's). Now I'm using Mac Mini OS 10.12.6 Dw 2017.5.Why has this never been an issue in prior versions?How many platforms have you tried? How much  testing have you actually done?Your "correct answer" is unacceptable. This product has deteriorated considerably and I would think more would be done to alleviate this and the other petty Dw issues being inflicted on users. I'm trying to create a "news" page and only want to display a few articles at a time. I've added a pagination navigation at the bottom of the page but I have no idea how to even start getting everything to work. I've done a lot of googling but I can't find an tutorials that can help. Nearly everything I found is on how to just create the nav bar. I've seen suggestions on jQuery plugins and so on, but nothing on how to even get started. I have been using 1&1 for my Web site server for many years. I have used Dreamweaver for building my Web sites for many years. I have never had any problem with Dreamweaver making an FTP connection to 1&1 for uploading my files. However, with the latest Dreamweaver (2017.5) I cannot get it to connect with any settings. I have tried FTP, SFTP, Passive on and off, Performance optimizations on and off. I've turned off Anti-virus and Firewall. Nothing works. However, when I attempted a connection using Beyond Compare's FTP feature, the connection was immediately made and I was able to upload my files with no problem.Can anyone help me get this working? I prefer to upload through Dreamweaver rather than a separate program.Here's the error message I get every time I try to connect.

Why is Dreamweaver not updating my modification after uploading files?

So I'm publishing my site to the Remote Server via FTP. However, its saying my site directors either invalid, non-existent or I don't have permission. The directors is straight from my Creative Cloud files. How would I change permission for this folder, as I know it exists and the directory isn't invalid> Thanks

Hello,I am unable to connect to my server with Dreamweaver CS6 using FTPS ( I can successfully connect via FileZilla with the same credentials ).When I try to connect, Dreamweaver gives me "An FTP error occured" message.My Apache server logs show the following message, "Sorry, cleartext sessions and weak ciphers are not accepted on this server.#012Please reconnect using TLS security mechanisms."Please let me know if there are any other details I can provide for trouble shooting.Thanks,Calvin

A client contacted me on Upwork. You know prices there can't be that high because there are so much freelancers willing to do the job for less money. I usually build my websites already responsive on Dreamwaver because it's quiet easier. But this client sent me psd files of the desktop and mobile versions. So, he wants a specific design for mobile. This will take much more work and time and I think I won't accept it if he doesn't increase the budget. What do you guys usually do?

Hi,I'm new to DreamWeaver but have coding knowledge.Problem: Inserting bootstrap tabs results in 2 tabs, and 1 dropdown tab. I want the third tab to NOT be a dropdown tab. Things I've tried: I have tried copying / pasting the 2nd tab into the 3rd tab location. The problem is that it is still linked to the prior content that the 2nd tab is linked to. I have also tried modifying the dropdown tab to remove the dropdown links, but it doesn't work the way I want. I have also tried using JQuery UI tabs, but wow, it lays them out vertically and the content is lined up vertically. The nice thing is that with JQuery you can add and remove tabs easily with the Properties panel (finally figured that out), but the display is terrible for my needs. I want 3 tabs arranged horizontally that each are linked to 3 separate content areas AND I want the ability to add more tabs in the future.Is there any way to combine the functionality of the JQuery UI Tabs with the layout of the Bootstrap Tabs?Thanks fo

Hi there, I hope I post my question in the right forum. I'm looking for a solution to have a simple bar graph that can be monthly updated by some data file. The graph consists of 4-5 bars that display a single value. What varies is - of course - the bars length, name inside the bar and the value in numbers within the bar. Underneath each bar comes a logo which has to be changed every now and then. See my example underneath.At the moment the graphs are static in an e-pub document (Indesign CC17) and are manually updated each month. After mutations, the e-pub is exported as html pages using IN5. What would be the best solution/workflow for this setup? Thanks in advance!

Hi, Like my title says, I'm having a bit of trouble getting my anchor transitions to work. I've done this before on other sites with no problems. In this instance, I set them up the same way and copied the script I used on these other cases but for some reason it's not working. As you can see on my page, the up and down arrows should take you smoothly to each section. Can anyone see what I'm missing here? It’s been a long time since I built a website and I’m very, very rusty. Hopefully someone can help with this simple problem.I’m creating a page of photos and text for a “work in progress” website. The photos will float left or right, and beside each photo will be text. I want the text to wrap below the photo when needed, which is what I already have and it works just fineHere's the problem: "IMAGE TEST one" works, but having a smaller amount of text, as with "IMAGE TEST two," the text from the paragraph beneath it flows upward. How do I prevent that from happening?Many thanks!

Buon giorno,ho usato in prova per 15 giorni Dreamweaver 2017 CC con il quale volevo sostituire Dreamweaver CS6.Tra le tante ottime funzioni del programma la possibilità di validare le pagine è molto comoda, ma con Dreamweaver CS6 non è possibile validare HTML5 ed è per questo che volevo sostituirlo (possibile che non ci sia un piccolo aggiornamento per consentirlo, chi ha scritto il codice del programma dovrebbe essere in grado di includere anche questa opzione?).Sono rimasto deluso in primis per l'enorme quantità di memoria RAM utilizzata, secondariamente per la lentezza di esecuzione anche con poche pagine aperte (il mio pc, di produzione 2016, ha un processore I7, 8gb di ram, 2gb disco rigido), infine con la elaborazione di molti files non tutte le operazioni vanno a buon fine.Normalmente il nuovo tende a migliorare il vecchio e ne mantiene le compatibilità.Ringrazio chi in questi giorni mi ha aiutato.GrazieAugusto-----------

Just geting started learning dreamweaver and doing a simple tutorial.  Following the instructions and getting this error message.  I will attach some images.When I add images to the site, they appear in the design mode but not the live mode.  Any ideas of what I am doing wrong?I have done some other hidden file deletions and have reinstalled the software and it continues to do this. In the early 2000's, as a digital artist and all-purpose online designer, I felt it was important for me to have my own .com to showcase my work; but also, to design and program the whole thing myself... with all the headaches and rewards that come with that.But nearly two decades later, the landscape has somewhat changed. No longer are websites just random addresses all fighting for shelf space with equal means. For a while, even just having a Facebook fan page seemed more important than your own dedicated site, because of the accidental traffic it was more likely to benefit from via people interaction... but there's also a higher likelihood of bot farms influencing those numbers. I have floated left the other images on this page but cannot get the image of the policeman to float up and sit beneath the map image.  I have tried adding a float left but it doesn't fix it.  The policeman image img tag was originally surrounded by a div tag which I found stretched right across the page because it was a block element and I thought that was stopping it moving up but removing the div tag didn't fix it either. - any ideas you clever people?  Here is the page in question http://v33.ancestry.higgsy.co.uk/street_harpur_mews.php​How I want it moved up:Many thanks in anticipation...

I'm running DW 2017.5 (build 9878) on Windows 7 Professional 64-bit SP1I've downloaded and installed Git (2.13.2 - 64-bit)DW did not seem to pick up the Git installation, even though everything is installed in default/standard directories.So I manually set up Git as:But in Site Manager, Git remains inactive. Rolling over the Git section pulls a tooltip that says "Please wait, Git is being initialized..." but I've waited 10 minutes and it never initializes.What can I do to troubleshoot and "git" this working?

Is this now de rigueur for all web portfolio websites? Such as here: https://www.canvasunited.com/I find it vaguely annoying, but if having a 3-slide slideshow in the banner makes me look old fashioned and out-of-date, then I suppose I'd better look for some video footage. As if fuzzy black and white footage of people exercising has anything to do with web design.

When is Dreamweaver going to support CSS Grid ? Browsers show my mark-up; but "DW live view" does not !  No coding hints either.

Hi,I have a php page which has an "include" file which loads a certain gallery, call this gallery A.I copied this page to a new folder, renamed it and created a new "include" file with a different gallery - "B.In DW live view, the new copied page still shows gallery A, instead of B.When I preview the page in a browser it shows gallery B as it should. I deleted the cache file under:c:\Users\<userName>\appdata\Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweaver CC 2017\en_US\Configuration\but that did not help.Any suggestions?The gallery is a "Juicebox" gallery.
