Dreamweaver

While using Dreamweaver in split View (live or design) the code editor goes completely black after about 30/45mins of normal use. I cannot see any of my code in split view! When I try to change it to code view it shows a a completely black panel or distorted via of the web page. Changing it back to split view removes the panel completely. This has happened 3 times in the last 24hrs, but never before. The only thing that fixes it is quiting Dreamweaver and relaunching. I am using macOS Monterey 12.3.1 * I will upload a picture/screen recording the next time it happens. 

When viewing the Local Files list in DW, the favicon.ico file previews the icon to the left of the file name. This preview/icon is often from a previously opened Site, and not the current Site. It is as if the icon cache was not updated, and showing from a previous session. This has been happening for 5 years at least. Closing DW with the current Site selected, then reopening seems to load the correct icon.

I have a single page with 2 maped buttons that don't work on a mobile phone.

I'm using Dreamweaver 21.2 (latest version) and I use the FTP sync feature (I activated the "keep sync information" setting in the site definition) and currently I'm trying to analyze a problem where DW want's to sync although there has nothing changed on both sides (remote and local), especially after the daylight saving time started or ended. In the "_notes" folders there are the "dwsync.xml" files with the sync information. There are lines like this in them:<file name="file.js" server="example.com" local="132883841423432900" remote="132883842000000000" Dst="1" /> Now I'm wondering what the "Dst=" means. Sometimes it's 1, sometimes 2 and sometimes -1. And how to read those timestamps? They are obviously no UNIX timestamps. I could not find anything on the web concerning this. Do you have an idea?

Hello All,I finally replaced my Mac with a new one and updated to the latest version of Dreamweaver, which bounces in the dock for about a minute before stopping. All the while, the Force Quit pane says it's not responding. I deleted Dreamweaver and installed the latest from scratch as well as version 21.2, but same results. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I am having some problems with UL lists. I figured out how to code specific UL classes. The problem is, if the the line item is more than one line, the text floats to the left. [Running DW v. 21.3 on Mac OS 12.4] Hello. For three days, I've experienced unreliable FTP uploading. For no apparent reason, when I attempt to put [all small] files that haven't been changed or updated in the last three days, the uploads complete successfully. But the uploading fails when I try to put files that I've changed or updated over the past three days. I continually receive the same error message: “Error occurred — An FTP error occurred — cannot put “currentMessageTheme-Romans.html.” Internal data error: Transferred file size does not match the expected file size.” I've done numerous things to resolve the issue:1.  I asked my host/server to inspect my cPanel settings and advise of problems or needed changes. The host/server found nothing on its ends but suggested that I try using Cyberduck or another free FTP client to see if the changed/updated files could upload on it. I have been working on a private  project developing a photography website. I started working on this website ten years ago and before i could put the final touches on it was stolen directly from godaddy.com's web servers. I was going through hard times when the website was stolen from me and i had invested thousands of dollars teaming up with a programmer. I have the Apple M1 Pro 14 inch macbook - my dreamweaver did open until a few days ago - and now it has the same issue. i'm unable to uninstall any anti-virus software as its a work computer. I assumed it was an issue with the M1 - as it still opens on my imac at home? would love an update. its preventing me from doing my job.

I'm using a Dreamweaver (21.2) template to create a basic HTML email. When I drop in my content, the cells become unaligned. Even after I fix and refine the spacing in dreamweaver, the result is still out of alignment when viewed in a browser. How can I stop this from happening, or fix it when it does?

I'm using DW v21.3 and i and unable to disable 'auto push on save'. 'Automatically upload files to server on Save' is UNCHECKED but every time i save (ctrl+s) the file is automatically uploaded. I've reset DW preferences, checked - saved - then unchecked, and created a new workspace to no avail. Ive read all of the community forums i could find related to the issues from DW 2015 to 2021 and tried every solution i could find. What am i missing here? Is this a known bug? It's getting to the point of inconvenience id rather just use another editor. Thanks. 

Dreamweaver 2021 trys to open and immediately quits on my Mac Pro (late 2013) using Big Sur 11.6.1. I uninstalled Dreamweaver 2021 and reinstalled it and restarted my Mac. It still trys to open, but immediately quits. I have submitted reports.

I found this amazing CSS code class for a responsive table. I love it. The problem is that the media query for the mobile screen overrides other table classes I created. I tried to name the table something else, to avoid the problem. I named it ".table-lead-sheets". The first section workd perfectly, there is no override. The second section with the media query overrides the other table classes. Please advise on any suggestions.  I have the code below. When I try to upload a psd when attempting to extract a file, they all seem to be greyed out. Does anyone know what might be causing this?

Building a new website and I’m using two css stylesheets which is consistent with my home page. One stylesheet is for the Header/Footer and the other is for its contents. The navigation and footer sections are separated so that I don’t need to repeat my work over on every page. I'm working on the second page of its design. Programming is the same between the two pages except its navigation is not displayed properly on the second page. My logo is sitting in the wrong place and the navigation bar is not spaced properly from left to right. I have written all container code in unique form so that there is no overlapping properties. Navigation should display properly on all of its pages. Any idea why or whats wrong with this section?Devin

Dreamweaver Version: 21.2OS : Windows 10 Pro 21H1 Steps to Reproduce: Use the "replace all" button on find & replace (where multiple replace operations will happen)Expected Result: Document scroll position should be unaffectedActual Result: Document scrolls to the position of the last replace operation, meaning you have to manually scroll back to find where you were working. Ruins productivity if using "replace all" frequently, i.e. when refactoring code.

So, for some reason one of my websites does not show changes on the webpage in cc 2021. Says ftp is connected, etc... Preview shows the changes. My other website works just fine. I go "file" "save", it asks me if i want to do the dependent files. And up it is.This one doesn't work that way. I go "file" "save", and it doesn't immediately ask me the same dialog. However, it works on the live preview and shows it.  What am i doing wrong with this one. It did say it connected to ftp ok, etc.... Worked beautifully on cs6. nforunately, cs6 does not work on my new M1. Wish it did. Thanks so much, people always help here so nicely.Anita

Dreamweaver under Mac 12.4 (M1 Max chip), I have problems with input when I code. The input stops and I have to click again on my input page to resume my work. Do you have a solution?

I'm finally switching from CS3 (yes, CS3) to Creative Cloud. In Dreamweaver, I've exported a few of my sites, but when I import the sites on another computer, I don't see any template files (.dwt) as part of the import. Any idea why not or where they can be found?
