Feature Requests

I need a feature that can search a designated folder on my machine, not in the cloud, using AI, for specific things or faces. Cars, water, lakes, people, face recognition perhaps, trees, skies; that kind of thing. It has been implemented in Lightroom, but I don’t use Lightroom and I would like to see this in Bridge.

I accidentally overrode previously added keywords (done in photoshop) when trying to add a keyword to a number of images and learned to my horror that keyword/metadata changes have no history and cannot be undo. Given adding metadata is one of the reasons I even use Bridge, the fact that a typo is made permanent is really frustrating. It seems from previous comments that this has been deemed to “be not a problem” by the developers, but I disagree that immediately permanent changes could be considered a feature. Bridge would be a much better program if it could at least retain previous temporary metadata change history. I don’t expect extended history, but changes made in a session should not be permanant.

Wenn ich mein Foto Portfolio über Bridge online hochlade auf meine Adobe Portfolio Homepage komme ich direkt zu portfolio.adobe.com, aber leider nicht zum meinem Portfolio Layout um die hochgeladenen Fotos zu arrangieren bzw. zu sichern oder sperren! Bis vor wenigen Wochen war das noch kein Problem aber jetzt ist dieser Schritt nicht mehr möglich. Ich habe ein Adobe Abo, zahle dem entsprechend genug und möchte eine Lösung meines Problemes.

Bridge, meanwhile, offers a much more limited version, for no obvious reason.Please add: LZW compression for TIFF JPEG XL WebP a resizable export window proper rename controls on export Right now the panel has a fixed height, so users have to scroll through stacked collapsible sections like this is still an early prototype. Add to that the missing rename options, and the whole feature starts to feel far less useful than it should be. The Workflow panel suffers from the same problem.Bridge should not have a noticeably weaker export workflow than Lightroom.

My suggestion would be to be able to lock tabs to a specific directory or file that cannot be accidentally changed.

I’m a working pro product photographer still on Bridge 12. Newer releases, including v16, simply will not handle large numbers of files.I have been working with an image catalog of over 100,000 files, mostly JPEG images. Bridge 12 can load this many, scroll through the list, run scripts, display thumbs, etc without choking.Bridge 16 will not even show this many files. It simply beachballs and has to be force quit.This doesn’t even count all the UI problems and bugs, just being usable at all.I’m not looking for troubleshooting- if Bridge 12 handles a task, I expect Bridge 16 to do so as well. If it can’t then the older version should remain available for installation.

I dont know if I am using it wrong, but I feel like the Zoom/Magnification in adobe bridge is pretty bad. I would personally much rather have it like adobe Lightroom, where u can click and it zooms in slightly, and then hold + drag to zoom in/out as much as you would like. It would make it so much easier to see details in my photos. hope this can get updated pretty fast, would make checking photos so much easier in adobe bridge, and I feel like it should have already been a thing years ago.Thank you

Al momento de descargar el audiograma en adobe podcast, seria genial q exista el tema transparente y ademas me permita cambiar el color de las letras.

When I plug my cameras into Bridge, it alternates between different drive letters as my cameras have 2 cards.  It alternates between card 1 (H:) and card 2 (L:) as I plug each camera in via the USB cable.I would love to be able to specify H: to be the first drive that is selected, rather than having to check and then click or not if it isn’t… as all my images and videos are stored on H: but only images onto L: as a backup…ALSO, it would be really useful if Bridge could be made to realise that the current dated folder which it’s already got open, had had more images saved to that folder, and not open another version of Bridge, which then needs closing - I hope someone follows, as I’m probably not explaining this too well ?!

Often I like to rate my images with stars, and when I have them rated/sorted I usually put on sort by rating so I then get all the photos after each other and I can put them into different folders and stuff. I thinks its pretty good the way it is now, but I also think it could be a bit better, and make it even faster. I think it would be nice to have a feature similar to the stacking feature, where you can select images, rightclick and choose “Group selection in new folder”. It could probably also be a shortcut like CTRL + Shift+ G if that is available… Since you already can make folders in Bridge I feel like it would be pretty easy to add this feature, and it would make the workflow smoother. Thanks

I know Bridge already recognises .ssg and .sbsar, but it would be nice if it could recognise .smod files as well as all the common file formats, those also supported by the software of the substance suite ..OBJ, .FBX, .MTL, .USDA etc... 

Adobe Bridge could have AI for selection of best frames, eye focus, background, exposure etc for bursts of wildlife photos. Also AI search for adobe bridge.

As you add a assisted culling feature in Lightroom and lightroom classic, I think it will also very useful in bridge. Where we can see our photos focused and other thing.

As a bridge user for over 5 years I can't help but complain about no longer having Bridge 2022(12.01, 12.0.2, 12.0.3, and 13.0.1) available to download via the creative cloud app. I take a great deal of bracketed images that I manually group via the shift key + arrow keys and the Command+G Grouping keyboard shortcut. In the newer versions of Bridge this workflow is virtually impossible without countless mouse clicks instead of using the arrow keys. As you group(Command+G) your photos and press the right arrow key to then group your next photo group your cursor gets placed back at the origin of the files instead of on the next image. For Example: You've just completed 20 photo groups and are about to group the next photo set. You hit the right arrow key and now your cursor is back at photo group 1 instead of being at the next photo. Now you must arrow key over the next 20 photos or take your hand off the keyboard and use your mouse to click the next photo group. I have submitt

When batch renaming I would like the old name to be added to the keywords list. this way when renaming the old name can still be found.  

Users should be able to edit camera data or GPS data via Bridge.  Some cameras like the GoPro Max 2 do not save that info in their meta data. Users should be able to edit the creation date via Bridge. Some novelty cameras do not save the dates correctly. Users should be to save the size of certain textbox’s like the keywords when editing meta day.

I would like an on system solution that does not use your servers or the internet. It would use local resources to index and search my graphic library. I have many terabytes of clip art, mainly vector, with some video and some photo assets. I want Adobe Bridge to sort and help manage these assets using an indexing tool similar to what Premiere Pro uses when you import videos and can search within them. When I navigate to a project or asset library folder, it should surface relevant content I am looking for. This way, instead of using AI to generate content, I can find content I have already created, including assets that were misplaced or stored in folders I did not realize they were in. Also, I would like to see an implementation where Bridge includes a project management system.  If I am building assets for my main graphic library, I could mark them as general graphic library assets that are usable at any time. Feature Request: Add Watermarking Natively to BridgeI’d love to see watermarking added as a native option in Adobe Bridge’s Export panel, similar to what Lightroom offers. This would be an excellent function to add to Custom Workflows. When I saw Workflow builder get added to Bridge I assumed the ability to add watermarks was added or coming. Why this matters:Lightroom’s watermark feature is excellent for quick branding during export. Adobe Bridge should include a File menu option to close Content Tabs, with support for assigning a keyboard shortcut. Currently, closing tabs requires mouse interaction, which is inefficient when working with many assets. Since the File menu already includes options to open tabs, it would be logical and consistent to also include an option to close the active tab, allowing users to assign a shortcut and streamline their workflow. Additionally, there is an inconsistency in terminology: in the File menu they are called Content Tabs, while in the tab hamburger menu they are referred to as Panels. Unifying this terminology would improve clarity.If you agree, please add a comment that says "agreed".

When there are multiple layers in a Photoshop file before exporting the image, It's a pain to have to open Photoshop just to find a specific layer. Furthermore, repeatedly showing and hiding layers is a pain. Just like you can view images in Bridge, you can also view layers in Photoshop as thumbnails. "Double-click a specific thumbnail" → "Expand in Photoshop" → "Edit specific original layer" I would be happy if I could do that.

Guten Morgen Ich würde mir wünschen, es bestehe die Option bei der Dateipoperation verschieben von Ordnern in z.B. Unterordner, dass  bei bstehendenen Ordnern die Inhalte in diese integriert werden können. Dieses Verhalten bin ich z. B. vom OS (Windows 11) oder auch Programmen wie ACDsee gewohnt und empfinde sie als nützlich. Das mögen andere Menschen vielleicht anders sehen, daher wäre meine Idee, dieses als Option bei den Voreinstellungen anzubieten (oder alternativ in diesem Pop-up).  

I miss being able to either scrollwheel or zoom in and out be clicking and tragging the mouse in adobe Bridge. I feel like this is a very important feature when looking through photos. When you need to see smalldetails, but also want to see it in a little bit bigger picture. I feel like the zoom we have now is way too close, and it feels very restrictive. I dont know if there is a feature I dont know about, but I feel like this should be a thing already. Just use the same zoom as photoshop or lightroom, I dont know?.Thanks
