Why isn't there an easy way to load LUT's into the Lightroom profile browser? there are the four categories of "creative profiles" (Artistic, modern vintage, black and white), a third of them are usable but they are not nearly enough. at the end of the day i use about 4 of them on most of my work (V4 V6 A7), which makes it look boringly similar and also doesnt work for nearly all situatons. the rest i find are extremenly disruptive to skintones and make people look unnaturaly orange. these are Extremely powerfull tools in shaping the overall mood and feel of a photo, especially when it comes to colour rendition, styling and mood. despite that this feature hasnt ever been updated since it appeared sometime long ago around lightroom 6-ish ... and yes i've read into it and i know that you have to go through camera RAW and load LUT files manually one by one, but even there it's a guessing game since only when you loaded you can even see what it does and even
If I had only one wish for the next Lightroom update, it would be a cancel button on the last dialog when you close a catalog. I like the reminder to back up each time, but sometimes I click quit too soon or by accident. It would be great if the "Back Up Catalog" dialog included "cancel" next to "Skip this time" and "back up." Thanks.
When nesting, it is helpful to filter on the name of the keyword to nest and the keyword to nest it under. This usually keeps both records in close proximity on the same screen. When working with keywords, it is very useful to turn on "Show All Keywords Inside Matches." When nesting keywords LR has a habit of refiltering each time a keyword is added, or moved. This becomes very combersome when working with thousands of keywords. To keep the lists more managable, it is helpful to keep keywords collapsed for which one does not need to see its descendants. The re-filtering really causes a lot of busy work after each modification. It often moves the record one is working on out of sight, requiring one to refind it. I see no need to re-filter when adding new keywords, deleting and nesting. It would be very appreciated if this behavior in LR would be changed to only filter on an initial filter query.
I would love to be able to export my files and be able to put them in a folder of the same file name for a large exports. Is this possible or can we make it possible?
I'm a photojournalist, but on a recent trip, stepped out of my realm for some landscapes. I would love to see the contrast in the HLS panel. This way, instead of brightening, or darkening the greens as in my photo from today, I would like to back off the contrast a little bit.
Hi, I think will be good to add a button to pre-calculate all kinds of AI masks for all the selected photos. Like generating previews. To avoid waiting and calculating every time when you paste the adjustments for the new photo. I started using the AI masks recently. It's a really good instrument but now the editing takes a few times more time because I need to wait for the mask calculating.
When creating a luminance range mask, it would be nice to be able to select the luminance range directly from the histogram (blacks, shadows, mid-tones, highlights, and whites). I think that would be very helpful. All the best, Arnie...
Considering how often Lightroom Catalogues become corrupted these days compared with years past, I really feel that Adobe needs to lift its game on how you restore a corrupted catalogue from your backup files. Currently it is a complete faff as you have to manually find your backup file, then copy it over the corrputed one wherever that is. My suggestion: 1) "Your current catalogue has become corrupted, would you like to restore from the most recent backup?" 2) "Yes" 3) ...restores catalogue from backup
Now a days we can it's very easy to backup datas on clouds , amazon, synology etc.But with lightroom and dnd, jpeg, etc the xmp metadata are stored inside the file and not outside like c2r, pef,nef raw file.So each time we modify a small things the whole big file is modified and need to be uploaded insteed of a small xml kilobyte file that are backup friendly. Upload terabyte on internet or local network contains errors and it's took a lot of time to checks backup. The actual solution is a monolitic outdated and ineffecient purpose. Please add this feature into our image favorite software.A simple workaround can be to place the xmp outside when the file is in write only to be fully non destructive.

When using the enhance feature "Super Resolution" on a RAW file the "RAW Details" check box is on by default and cannot be turned off. Please change this behavior as some of us would love to increase the resolution without any additional detail enhancing. An image of clouds would be a perfect example where we might want greater resolution without more detail. It is my experience that this "RAW Details" function seems to add noise/texture/artifacts into areas that should not have any. Thanks for your consideration.
It would be really helpful to have an ability to batch rename folders within the adobe lightroom. There are times where the library organisation system needs to change the naming convention. Perhaps, merging two libraries that, by mistake, started with two different naming convention. Or decided to re-organise a library and as part of the process, decided to change the naming scheme.Current options are: Batch rename in the file system but this needs to be re-linked one by one within the lightroom (this requires re-navigating to the exact directory one by one) Manually click every single folders to rename I think the easiest mechanism to implement would be to add prefix to the child folders: Folders with YEAR/MONTH/DAY to YEAR/YEAR-MOMTH/YEAR-MONTH-DAY Even if it means as simple as two folder renaming tools that consists of 'add prefix/suffix to child folders' and 'find-and-replace' after highlighting them would make
I have a large number of presets, as I'm sure many others do as well. Often, I have to organize them in a certain way or move them into different folders. Currently, LR allows only one preset at a time to be moved or renamed or deleted. With hundreds of presets, this becomes an exceedingly time-consuming task. It would make a lot more sense to be able to select all the necessary presets and apply whatever action is needed to all of them at once. I hope you can implement this soon. It would make Lightroom Classic a lot more efficient and user-friendly. Thank you.
I would like to see if there is a way to download a watermarked image and the same image without a watermark simultaneously to the same folder? The way ltrm is set up is to export your images with your watermark on them. And if you want the images without the watermark you need to export again and turn off the watermark button. That makes it difficult and very time consuming. Right now I have to download all the watermarked images then I downlaod them to my website so to keep people from stealing my images. Once I get that done I get orders for photos and then I have to go back and find the images I need through ltrm. Its very time consuming when you take over 1500 photos in one game and when you work 3 to four games a day that adds up to 6000 photos. Trying to find one photo in a batch of 6000 photos can become very tedious and extremly time consuming. I spend a lot of hours sometimes looking for one image in ltrm. I need the images watermark for my web page and the same ima
As the title says. It's frustrating that this setting is part of the EXIT process.
I hope this suggestion will be up-voted soon and many times, as I can't see any reason not have this feature implemeted asap: PLEASE allow for more than one color rating to be assigned to a single image. This way, if there are multiple people involved on a shoot, they can each mark their selections without overriding someone elses'. EXAMPLE: a photographer, make-up artist and stylist and model all work together on a shoot. Each person has a specific color assigned to them (i.e. photographer=blue, stylist=purple, MUA=yellow, model=green etc) If more than one person likes an image, it could then show which people selected it, so for example, if an image shows all 4 of these colors, then it the user can see that this is an image that is liked by more than one team member. Currently, selecting a color rating simply changes the previous rating. There should at least be the option to 'add' a color rating rather than just replace it
Open the BOOK module to other vendors. As much as I like Blurb, I would rather use a local print service with similar or better products, shorter delivery times and cost. Please make a guide to open up the competition on online upload to other vendors directly from within LR Book module.
Support for importing the (astrophotography) file types FITS (image) and SER (movie) to the Library only.
Hey there brainiacs! My one wish is that we can keep the original file name when printing to .jpg in the print mod of Lightroom Classic! When I batch-process images and want to print multiple files at once it would be nice to have a check box where I can select to keep original file names so I can match to customer enquiries.
Hi Community,Most of my work in LR involves HRD. My Typical day I have 40-50 shots of 5 shot HRD to Merge (some are Panos) My issue is that the software is unusable while the merge is happening, even on my aging system with 14 cores @ 4.5Ghz and 256GB of ram. I could be editing/exporting the previous image while the next merge is happening. This increases my editing time by a factor of 2 most nights, so if it were able to be implemented I (and others) could save 1/2 on edit time!I understand that larger panos take longer than simple merges but at least I could be taking care of edits rather than just sitting here watching a progress bar. Great software but......
Good morning. I am a big fan of the Masking Tool featured in LR Classic. One issue however that is very problematic is the disabling of highlight and shadow clipping when the "show overlay" option is turned on. This occurs after your first marked area. I understand the need to turn off the clipping in the areas that have been masked, but the areas outside the mask should remain highlighted. I use green for overlay and red/blue is default for clipped areas that are too hot or too cold. The mask allows me to brush over certain areas of an image and then adjust highlights and exposure withing the mack giving me a great way to to "compress" the edges at both ranges of the specturm. (I equate this manual process to limiting dynamic range in audio using compressors) Alternatively a nice feature would be able to create a mask based on exposure, specifically clipping, one for shadow, one for highlight. Something similar to automatice detection of people where I can choose skin areas, etc.., bu
Is it possible to add the vertical aspect ration for the presentation? It can be interesting to create simple reels or instagram stories. Now is possible to obtain it using a vertical monitor, but it's very uncomfortable.
Hi All, This is a feature request, but it would be great to see the ability to change the filename that is being used for Edit in based on the application that is being used. Currently, I have a fairly generic -Edit which is appended to the end of the file, but I would really love to be able to change this based on the application being used, so for example instead of being stuck with -Edit, if I was editing in something like Topaz Sharpen, I might add TSHP to the end instead of -Edit, if i was using Topaz DeNoise it might be TDNS or similar. This would make it much easier to be able to identify what app the edit was made in! To clarify, I don't nessessarly mean that the software detects the app, I just mean having the ability to set the text to be appended specific to the Edit-In entry basically.
Face recognition - great - but it would be useful to have the pssibility to add notes to each person like "Uncle of XY" or "Born in XY" like a contact-sheet.
