HI,I was wondering if there is a way to sync only one color in HSL to the rest of my images? Thanks you
On the primary display, right clicking on screen or pressing 'Z' will toogle between last two screen sizes, for example FIT and 100%. On secondary display, you get the same action by right clicking on screen, but I cannot find any keyboard shortcut. My idea (request) is to provide a toogle kb shortcut similar to the 'Z' for the primary display. An alternative would be to have 'Carl+alt+shift+0' (100%) toggle between 100% and what 'fit/fill' is set at.
Lightroom CC really needs to separate pure whites and pure blacks from highlight and shadows for colour grading. The colour keeps bleeding into the blacks and Whites. A slider that will control how far into the highlights or shadows you get into. Like a 'luminance range' if you will. That could actually help the mid tone range as well. This is quite basic actually. I actually miss the split toning. It was way cleaner. It was an older idea but it was better executed. This is just what I think. Not a pro. But I probably enjoy editing more than taking photos. Lightroom is probably my favourite app period. A legit fan. If any of the developers happen to see this please look into it. If any of what I am saying makes sense and I am not missing out on anything. Insta: @Triplegrade
Hi Adobe Lightroom is great, tethering with my Canon 5DS works very well, but that pesky tethering dialog/control bar keeps popping up in the middle of my screen when I start up a new thered session. I have to move it to a sensible place - and there are not many sensible place for it that don't get in the way of something Could there be an option to have the tethering control panel appear in the right-hand panel, above Histogram, Quick Develop, etc? It could have a collapse flippy triangle the same way as the other panels on the right. Would be more consistent with the rest of the interface I reckon. Regards, Colin Thomas
Adobe, Please, please, give us a library function to delete sidecar jpegs. I didn't know any better at the time! But I've learned from my mistake, and now it's too late. There was one way in, but no way back. Please don't punish me for the rest of my life. Give us an easy one click menu to get rid of those jpegs. I'm too scared to mess with my catalog. Thank you.
The new AI filters are very useful but packing away all of the filters into another menu has increased the amount of mouse inputs needed to the workflow of anyone using filters. It feels very slow and clunky. Please add the ability to customize which tools are visible and have a drop down on the far right to access any others. In this case there is room for 6-7 icons but Lightroom 11 only utilizes 4. If this were implemented it would save those that use filters a ton of time, extra mouse clicks and unecessary mouse movements. I would love to have select sky, select subject, gradiant filter, and radial filter available quickly alongside crop and spot removal. All with one click and in the order that the user can choose. I would love the ability to hide red-eye correction and use that slot on a tool that I actually use. Thank you!
Please include a shortcut key for Select Subject when adding new mask. (similar to shortcut K for brush).
Since I organize my photos by date, each day having its own folder, I now have around 4000 folders in my main LR catalog. This means that my "Folder" list on the left side of the screen is very long and quite cumbersome to navigate via mouse / trackpad scrolling. Assume that you have a folder selected. It would make it much easier to quickly move through a long list of folders if I had keyboard shortcuts to do the following operations: Go to Next folder (e.g. Command - Control - Up arrow) Go go Previous folder (e.g. Command - Control - Down arrow) Page up through folder list (e.g. Command - Control - Page up) Page down through folder list (e.g. Command - Control - Page down) Top of folder list (e.g. Command - Control - Shift - Up arrow) Bottom of folder list (e.g. Command - Control - Shift - Down arrow) Some "nice to have" features: Jump to folder (opens a dialog and you can type in the name of the folder you want.
As I work on many project and create as many collection I do have to edit a lot of picture from specific collection but to make sure I'm editing the right pix I have to leave the collection and scroll up all the way to all photographs. Why couldn't we get a keyboard touch that permit to go directly to all photographs? And by the way if possible the same touch activated again to return to the collection you were.
The only problem I find in Panorama stiching is the inability to tell the programm what has to be included in a multiple stich panorama. Would be greate if we could have the possibility to apply manual brush or Ai mask on the subject- object that must be included in the final panorama. After it renders it also to have a possibility to brush away the part we don't want and let emerge what is beneth. Excactly how we do in PS wit layer. Some times It automaticly delete people from the panorama becuase it automaticly or by rotation panorama you have the same person twice. would be nice to have such feature.
The Ai mask work very well. but some times it choose the wrong subject or leave some other subject not selectet. It would be great that we could use a special brusch to highlight that areas that should be included in the mask and then have the uption to update the subject mask and the pc recalculate the mask. It would be easier for the AI if we say where to look and the workflow tidyer because we would have to ad so many brush strokes.
The white balance tool in Adobe LR and PS is working well when applied on the roads paved with asphalt or concrete. A nice reference in gray works well to correct colors, bleaching in slides and negatives. However, in e.g. Africa, the gray areas are often missing. Roads are redish, or sandy, without gray scales. Scanning slides goes best using Braun multimag machines, but the silverfast software that is perfect to correct for bleaching of slides and negatives does not work any more after the scan has been stored in Adobe software like LR. Adobe might learn from this by not using white balance correction or in PS white, black and mid correction. Both the roads in less developed countries, and the people in those areas are not gray and white respectively. Meaning that the white balance tool in Adobe makes it difficulult to correct properly, althouh the tool is perfect in western countries. Contacting competition like the Silverfast creators linked to Braun might improve that in Adobe.
Dear Adobe-LR-Team, I really love LR for many years now, but keyword management is still a horror and applicable for professional use. Why aren't synonyms exported to the xmp file? Why can't I search for synonyms in the keywording sidebar? Why can't I search for "words in the middle" in the keywording sidebar? E.g. keyword "Test Case". I need to enter "Test" to get suggestions. But I also want to enter "Case" to get the suggestions. SDK: why isn't there a direct function to get a dedicated keyword? Every time it is necessary to parse the entire keyword object path to find just a single keyword by its value. How about a REST-API to access the catalog of LR? Lua might be a nice programming language, but is not flexible and easy/fast to use. A REST-API could solve all issues! In general, please take a look to otehr software, e.g. Photo Mechanic, which provides a much more professional keyword handling. Please Adobe, do someething here!
Hello Community, Following my recent post in the related thread here, I'm creating this new one dedicated to the issue "Case insensitive search with diacritic in uppercase letters". Actually I've noticed that the case insensitive search in LRC (latest 11.0.1) still doesn't work when there is an accent on the uppercase letter. I mean "église" doesn't return "Église" (and possibly vice-versa) where it should be expected since the Lightroom search is not case sensitive. Thanks, Denis
I would like to set the cell size, then check a box that says Protect Cell Size so I can move margins but have them stop from encroaching on the cell size. I have to keep going back and forth, an finessing between Margins and Cell Size. Hard to believe that Lightroom is around 15 years old and this is still annoying. Gridlines like in Photoshop for laying our greeting cards would be nice too. Thanks, Reid
Lightroom is my library software of choice. And while it can't edit videos in any meaningful way, it can preview them and play them back, and most imporantly provide library functionality in a way that makes it a truly useful tool for hybrid shooters. Many shooters, like myself, are shooting in log formats with 10 bit 4:2:2 HEVC codecs. These play back using the CPU even when hardware decoding is available on 10th+ gen Intel QuickSync processors on Windows. This causes dropped frames, kills battery life, and generates a lot of heat. Using QuickSync inside of Davinci Resolve these files play back effortlessly. I believe this is also the behavior on M1 Macs, but I have yet to be able to try that. It'd be great if these were supported better, and generally it would be great to support video as a first class member in the library as it's very useful. Thanks.
In the next version of Lightroom could they implement a better spellcheck? The spellcheck currently in Lightroom3 does not work as well as spellcheck seen in Photo Mechanic or the basic spellcheck used on a Mac.Also could they make the caption box larger or the ability to increase the size. The current caption box is to small and makes it hard to see what is being typed? In a nut shell could they make the next Lightroom more like Photo Mechanic in terms of captioning and adding metadata ?
I sometimes import a couple of thousand images taken over several days at a time in Lightroom Classic. I then use the "Previous Import" selection to go through, cull, add keywords and coordinates to my photos. I would like to be able to use “Smart Collections” to check for images without keywords, GPS coordinates, etc. but was surprised to discover you cannot use “Previous Import” as a condition in "Smart Collections." “Previous Import” appears to live under “Catalog” so it would be nice to see it added as a source in “Smart Collections.” If that is not possible, then perhaps import date could be added to the “Date” selection. Thanks
In Library Loupe view, with multiple photos selected and Auto Sync disabled, the Metadata panel lies to the user by highlighting Selected Photos and displaying a tooltip saying "Show metadata for all selected photos". But the metadata for just the most-selected photo is displayed, and any changes will be made just to that photo: The selection behavior in Loupe has always been confusing, and this user-interface lie makes it even more so, e.g. see:https://community.adobe.com/t5/lightroom-classic-discussions/p-changes-to-metadata-panel-for-targeting-one-or-many-images/m-p/12526838/page/2#M252513 The product team says this behavior is "as-designed", which implies there is a design rationale -- what could it be? The correct behavior is for Loupe to behave just as when one photo is selected in Grid view: Both Target Photo and Selected Photos are grayed out, and the metadata for the most-selected photo is displayed. When Auto Sync is enabled, the current behavi
yet another update to LRC was posted without a trace of release notes. Rick Flohr's post "Lightroom Classic 11.0.1 is released" simply states "An update for Lightroom Classic (11.0.1) was released on 11.15.2021 and contains several bug fixes." That is nice to know, but I already figured that though the notification in CC Desktop. What I am really interested in, is knowing what bugs have been fixed - aka RELEASE NOTES. Back in April, I wrote a post on the now defunct uservoice forum: "Publish release notes for every update available: today another round of updates hit PS and Bridge - without any release notes at all. Just mentioning "bug fixes etc." is not helping any of us in knowing what has been changed in the available release.Sometimes (usually days after the update itself), some sort of RN appear on the Adobe support website but it is usually so well buried that only a Google search provides the link. Please make real release notes available with the updates
lightroom classic 11.0.1, windows 10 I am in need of a way to filter/view photos that only exist mutually between two or more collections. To better describe this idea, I will give an example I photograph for a hockey team, and need to sort the photos into collections by game, and player number. If I wanted, for example, to view photos of player 25 on the 7th game of the season, there should be a way of selecting a collection view mode (such as 'mutual', or 'shared between'), and then selecting the individual collections. Being able to select multiple collections already exists, but it only shows you the combined photos. There needs to be a way of changing between seeing the sum of the selected collections, and the intersection. A great spot in the GUI for this would be on the black bar above the filmstrip. To the right of the collection dropdown, there could be another dropdown to select combined viewing mode, where there would be the two methods I just discussed.
I love the new masking in Lightroom Classic but I'd like to see an improvement in the subject selection for birds (particularly the feathers). The subject selection will select the bird but also select the areas between the splayed feathers on the wings. Can this be corrected to select only the bird? My configuration: Windows 10 Home, Lightroom Classic CC 11.0.1, Alienware Area-51m R2,Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10700K CPU @ 3.80GHz, 3792 Mhz, 8 Core(s), 16 Logical Processor(s), Installed Memory (RAM)64.0 GB,NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Super (8GB), Nvidia Studio Driver 472.47 (November 2021)

Search does not always find all terms used in Lightroom. I tried to search for Albums (referred to in Adobe Stock as an easy way to upload images from Lightroom) and no useful results were returned. The problem seems to be interchangeability of terms under some circumstances - Albums for Collection as well as Publish for Upload as examples. The search engine should be able to find all terms used by Adobe programmes.
[This post contains formatting and embedded images that don't appear in email. View the post in your Web browser.] When the user tries to save a metadata import preset with blank fields checked, LR should issue a warning: ------------------------------ Warning: You've checked the following fields but left them blank: User Comment, GPS, Altitude (and 5 more fields). This will clear those fields on photos imported with this preset. Is that what you want? [] Don't show again Cancel Confirm ------------------------------ Rationale: A frequently asked question in LR forums: Why isn't LR importing GPS coordinates or (less frequently) some other metadata field? Invariably, the user is applying a metadata import preset in which GPS or another field is blank but checked. LR does try to inform the user that this will clear the blank, checked fields: But
