In Lightroom Classic, there used to be an option to only import RAW files and use Jpegs only as smart previews, if I recall correctly. It is kind of confusing that this feature is missing from Lightroom CC. You have to import everything from a card or a camera, or you would have to manually select raw files only in the "review for import" window. I am aware of the workaround where you filter out jpegs in the regular finder/explorer import dialogue window, but this only works with memory cards. If you connect the camera directly to your PC, it doesn't support multi-select through the explorer dialogue, so the user is out of luck. The only way then is to first copy all the RAW files to local storage and then import them into Lightroom, which is an incredible hassle for something that should honestly be an absolutely normal function of the software out of the box. If there were at least some sorting options in the review for import dialogue, the user could at least sort the files b
If I want to add images to an album from within an album, the images already there are neither market or removed, so it is difficult to see which images that is already there. It makes it difficult to see if there are images you should have added to the album. Especially in larger albums. Don't know if this also is the case on the desktop version.
I want to call this a bug, but I think it's actually a feature I hate. I often use Opt-C to show two images side-by-side. When I do, the Filmstrip appears at the bottom without my asking it to, and persists as I continue to work, until I tap "/" to turn it off. This drives me nuts! There is a time and a place for Filmstrip, but I'll ask for it when I need it. There is no use case I can think of for auto-showing Filmstrip in Compare view and I'm tired of turning it off all the time. Please make Auto-show Filmstrip an option we can turn off.
In a similar way that the desktop application manages print preparation, the mobile app should provide for improved social media prep. Features that might be useful include Image frames Actually posting? Image splitting (panorama split across multiple) This seems like a pretty straightforward and helpful feature for a lot of mobile users.
Imagine 5 photographers, collaborating on a book for example: clustered around an actual light table with slides, everyone would be able to shift images in the sequence or groupings. With shared albums (collections) I know I can share with permission to edit and contribute; does this extend to custom order? Would everyone see the same order that each other would display? (Obviously not simultaneously, but perhaps "live"? Or is there another app that facilitates this kind of live interaction? If you've solved this kind of live collaborative workflow - how did you do it? Thanks.
It would be great if the desktop app showed the # of photos associated with each keyword, just like the mobile app does.
Something that may be super simple and just pure convenience. I would love it if I could reset my indevidual curves chanel but just double clicking on ech chanel color icon. This way I wouldn't need to click into each chanel and remove each point.
My previous setup was like this:X-T1 + lightroom 6 + loupedeckafter upgrading to X-T3 my lightroom 6 turned out to be outdated so I upgraded to lightroom CCbut now loupedeck is not working at all, and here is a statement from that company:Currently only Classic CC is supported due to the way Adobe has constructed their software. Lightroom CC does not have the required framework to support SDK or extended plugin support. We would love to support Lr CC but at this given moment it is not possible. It would be great if my loupedeck can work out of the box with CC on desktop for windows 🙂
It would be extremely helpful to add possibility to perform this annoying task of date time capture adjustment also on Lightroom web based interface https://lightroom.adobe.com/It's an annoying task I perform sometimes on different device where I don't have Lighroom Classic neither Lightroom CC installed. It would be a specific, restricted, isolated feature task I would really love to do everywhere I'm connected thru a browser on Lightroom web. Could you make it possible?🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺 Thanks!
Issue: When I have an album loaded for editing, I will select "Store Locally" as well as make sure that "Only download smart previews" is not selected to ensure I have downloaded the original pictures. When I start editing the pictures (34MP RAW from a Canon R7), Lightroom will take ~3-4 seconds to load the picture. I can see the Image type in the info panel change from "Preview" to "Smart Preview" to "Original". If I've downloaded and processed the original pictures, Lightroom should load the Original copy automatically. There should be a method to force Lightroom to render these pictures all at once, much like "Generate 1:1 Previews" exists in Lightroom Classic. If I swipe from Picture 100 to Picture 101 and back again to Picture 100, the load from Preview to Original is almost instant, as it should be. Please add selective edit auto-mask
Idk if it's just me, but it's damn near impossible to get the correct image rotation with the rotation wheel. Every time I pull my finger off it throws the wheel off around a half-degree. 99% of the time I am rotating an image under 1 degree, so this is super annoying and I end up just shooting darts until I get lucky and it lands close to where I want. This could be solved by just adding manual value entry. Another idea, is largely weighting the wheel to under 2°, so that you have to rotate it much further at the start, and then it can ramp up as the values get higher. Again, idk if it's just me, but RARELY am I ever rotating an image more than 1 or 2 degrees.
Feature request - upgrade the business capabilities of the share a link function. It would be great if there were more client, communication tools, analytics, and notifications a real client center portal. - integrations with CRM like Salesforce and Hubspot and other tools. - Maybe merge some of the frame.io. features - maybe plug ins for financial transactions using the client portal (potential new revenue source for y'all).
Using the current Lightroom CC app for Android the gallery tab only allows you to delete photos when you long press. It'd be great to have the same ability to sort & cull images locally as the lightroom tab. At the very least an option to delete the photo when I've got it open full screen. Thanks!
A lot of peoples' computers are too slow to run lightroom classic so they have to resort to the website version which is pretty far behind Lightroom Classic. All I'm hoping for is the option to add Watermarks in the website version. Thank you!
It would be quite useful to be able to add notes to albums. For example, what film was being used, the weather, lens data, etc. I know there are some metadata options on individual images, but oftentimes I group photos with similar characteristics into albums and I am sure I'm not the only one. So having the ability to add notes to those albums with info would be huge. Thanks!
It'd be nice to have curves for video editing like there is for photos.
"Not In An Album" would help me sort through the mass of the unsorted a whole lot. When I'm creating albums from the mass of unsorted photos with zero metadata context because they're all film scans it's not simple because I have to sift through everything for each album. I want to assign each photo to an album once, and flick down the list of the un-albumed until they are gone and everything is assuredly in an album. Thanks.
We need LAB values displayed on Histagram like Lightroom Classic. It is important especially for portrait photographers as we need to get correct exposure and skin tone. Please consider adding this feature to cloud ecosystem.
I have a new feature suggestion - when using Healing tool (Q), there is no option to twist a new layer of healing tool. I would like to remove something with round edges and can not copy due to uneven lines. But if we could twist it (like it is possible with Linnear Gradient for example), then we could have a line that is natural to its shape. Just a tiny option of horizontal turn/twist could help when Healing must be added at the uneven edges. Thank you ❤️
Hi, another issue driving me nuts is that the editor does not remember the set aspect ratio. Thus if I want to readjust the selection, everytime I have to select the aspect ratio again. Over and over... Please give us: a) A default you can set for all images (free aspect ration should be a valid choice for that too). b) For each image the option that the aspect ratio should be remembered until the next edit. It would already be a big improvement if it would be remembered during the current editing session. I'd very much appreciate thise improvements.
Hi, You first sweep through the shots from a session in Rate & Review, and then start working on the selected ones in Edit. But I quite frequently have the need to adjust the ratings during editing, for example when a shot doesn't work out after all and need to be dropped from the selected picks. It's clumsy to swich mode to Rate & Review to do this, and then back to Edit. Rate & Review provides the ability to change the star rating and flags by swiping up and down in the left and right parts of the picture. These gestures does as far as I can see not conflict with anything in the Edit mode, except when using tools like Crop or Masking. I propose adding these gestures to the Edit mode in all tools that doen't use gestures in the picture. Micke My device: Lightroom version 8.5.1 on Galaxy S22+, Android 13, UI 5.1
Suggestion from Lightroom fan here. The majority of the editing tools appear the bottom of the interface for Lightroom iOS, but the undo button appears at the top of the screen which feels very clunky when quickly making edits and undoing them. It would feel more intuitive to have the undo button at the bottom near the rest of the editing tools. many thanks carls
I love the option for an auto add photos, but I use a secondary service for tethering on mobile and I would love a way to change the auto import file location for iOS. Specifically have a draw folder with organized subfolders. I'm trying not to have duplicates continuously loading and unloading from the photo app on iOS and would rather have a folder that they would go into instead, then a single export at the end into my photos to share or send places. This would also help me in organizing when I only want to pull a single photo or two from a set to quickly edit and be able to move the whole folder over to my computer. I know there are cloud options for file sharing but I'm trying to give myself an option without any signal services for transferring that way.
Zero options to add audio to videos. There needs to be a feature to add your own audio to videos. I won't pay 5 bucks a month and not have the access or availability to do this. It's that simple.
