Feature Requests

I was excited to learn that LR Desktop had an option to make copies of all photos uploaded in the cloud on a drive connected to my computer. I like having all of my photos available on a local drive as well as the cloud. The biggest reason is that when I fill up my 1tb of cloud space, I plan on deleting older photos from the cloud since I won't need access to them all the time.  However, I still want to keep them.  We should have the option to leave any photos we delete from the cloud on the backup drive used in LR Desktop. 

Subject line says it all. I'm trying to arrange my photos in an order that tells a story. I thought a simple drag and drop would do the trick but it seems no such functionality is available. Seems like a simple addition that would really empower me! 

Currently in LR for iPadOS, you can only see the photos in a single album at a time.  In both LRC and LR Desktop, when you click on a parent folder, you see all of the photos that are in all of the sub folders.  For example, in LRC here are 2 examples of my folder hierarchy:  Mtn Biking>Washington>Galby> Day.  Mtn Biking>Canada>Whistler>Day.  If I click on Mtn Biking, I see all of my Mtn biking photos.  If I click on Washington, I see all of my Mtn biking photos from Washington. If I click on Whistler, I see all of my photos from just Whistler and so on.  In LR for iPadOS, this doesn't work.  I have to drill down to each specific album to see any photos and I can see only those photos. A lot times I want to look through photos of more than just one album at a time.  Like in my examples, sometimes I want to see all of the photos I took at Whistler or Galby for example.  This is one of the biggest annoyances I have with

I recently purchased a large set of presets and brushes from a site, but my computer cannot run Lightroom Classic or photoshop due to too little RAM. It would be great if Lightroom CC had an update to allow for brush presets to be used.    [Mod: Moved to the Lightroom Ecosystem forum]

Hello, I would like to request a feature for the IPad Lightroom version.    I would like to see in the info overlay if the photo is included in a collection, I know the desktop version has it, it would be even better if it says in which collection / collections it is.   Thank you!

I primarily edit my raw iphone photos in the Photos app just because it's highly convenient. Sometimes I want to continue processing in Lightroom mobile. But lightroom reads the raw file and ignores all the edits I've previously done in the Photos app. It would be awesome if Lightroom learned how to read those edits and apply them to the raw file

In the mobile app it would be nice to be able to combine elements from 2 images. For example - select the subject from one image and paste it into another image.            Keith 

I occasioanlly take bursts of photos on my iPhone to ensure I capture something that's fast moving or where I may want a range of photos to choose from.  When I import photos in LR on iOS it only imports the key/main photo.  It would be nice to have the option to import ALL photos from a burst.  It would be better still of those bursts were automatically added as a stack with the top photo the key/main one as on the device.

I have a problem in LR mobile on iOS in that when I tried to import all my photos, only 10057 out of 11845 were actually imported.  I didn't realise until some time later, but thankfully I hadn't deleted the originals from my device.  The issue I now have is that if I just select all and reimort again, the ones that are already imported are created as duplicates and show up as virtual copies in LrC.     I want to be able to filter in the Deivce view to only show items that aren't imported to LR cloud yet.  That way I can simply select any that failed to import (for whatever reason) and try again.  As it is, I have to scroll through my entire library and manually search for items without the little Lr icon in the corner, select them, import and then HOPE that it works.... which it doesn't always.     Yes... I would prefer it if the import process actually worked reliably, but I've come to learn that reliability isn't Lightroom's forte in

I propose adding geometrical shapes, like rectangle and ellipse, as methods in Create new Mask.    Reason: The current methods are good when improving photos. But sometimes there is a need to redact or emphasize an object and make that change obvious to the viewer. Geometrical shapes with sharp edges work better in these cases. The brush with shift-click provides a workaround on computers but painting free-hand on a touch screen usually produce an unprofessionally looking result. 

like segment no tags, and then [insert name] segment tag #1, [insert name] segment tag #2, etc. cause we can't see the not tagged ones anywhere but by scrolling infinitely through the pictures and/or add a no tag option in the search by keyword window thanks !

Like in the desktop version, I'd like to be able to update my myportfolio website from my lightroom mobile app.

The ability to view and edit device images that was added in version 8.4 is fantastic. However, I would like have those edits reflected back to the device library instead of saving a copy.   Not sure about Android but iOS does allow you to revert edits on images in the photos library even if they were made by a separate application. This is great for non-destructive type edits.    Photoshop Express already does this through the settings. You can disable "Save a copy" and it will save directly to the original photo after a prompt. Really fantastic to be able to view the edits in the photos application and not have copies all over the place.   I was planning on use Photoshop Express for this type of editing but navigating the device photos is very painful in that app. However, it is nearly perfect in Lightroom. All around, I would prefer to use Lightroom anyway since I've used the classic version for years.   Adding this save settting to disable "Save a copy" to

Hi, It would be great to have at least start rating when importing photos from s camera. It is very difficult to have a quick and professional workflow without this option. (When taking thousands of photos, I rate them on the camera as this is really quick, and then transfer them to lightroom. But without filters I'm stuck with either delete the unwanted photos from the camera, which is super risky, or add a start rating on camera, import ALL the photos, and delete the unwanted from lightroom. This is such a slower process than what it could be...)

Makes no sense that users have to pay for both apps separately.

1. Version: Lightroom web/cloud 2: Android, Chrome shared album 3. Share album, generate link. Download photo from Lightroom via google chrome on Samsung flip phone. Post to instagram using instagram app. 4. Expected result: correct colour   Something is going wrong with color profiling. There is no option to select what color profile to convert to when a link is given for people to download a shared Lightroom album. So it's automatic. The image posts on instagram as desaturated, it looks similar to when AdobeRGB is incorrectly interpreted as sRGB. This needs to be fixed ASAP, as obviously the cloud/web based Lightroom shouldn't be unusable with the worlds largest web photo sharing site/app. I've exported directly on my iPad Pro and also downloaded via chrome via Lightroom web and postin it to Instagram the colour is correct from both of those. We are professionals. We need to able to show multiple image overlays: file type AND flag status/rating AND Photo Info, not just one at a time. We can handle the screen complexity and if it's too much, we can always go back to one or two (or none). BUT having the option of more than just one would be very helpful for speeding up image selection workflow - especially on iPad and Web where we have larger screens to work with.

As a photographer I would like to be able to adjust the placement of the watermark not only for the whole batch, but each photos of the batch when exporting images, so I can place it in the best suiting spot for each image of the exported batch.Currently, I have to create many small batches of a whole photo series and assume the best fitting placement of the watermark for each of the small batches.

I'm in a filtered view doing triage on my iPad. If I make a mistake with a rating the photo disappears from view and it's hard to fix. It looks like rating changes DO impact the sort by modified view (something I've been confused by in the past) so I can probably find and fix it with a few steps.   Honestly without being an jerk, I think this needs to be on a backlog of basic functionality that is high priority. I'm not entirely sure how to define it but if a rating change wasn't undoable on PC we'd be "shook". It should work on iOS also. As well as all of the other missing fundamental stuff.

When importing new photos on my iPhone or iPad, I have the option to "Select all," but I almost always just need to import photos from the current day, so I have to manually slelect the photos. It would be very convenient and intuitive to be able to apply segmentation when importing so that I select specific days, hours, etc. with one tap.

Phones nowadays are very powerful, so why not? Personally, even though subject mask is cool, I love the granularity that the People mask gives us, so that's the one that I'm particularly interested in, followed by the objects one. Admittedly, I don't use those all the time, but when I do it's annoying having to go to my laptop (which is slower and has a worse screen than my phone) to finish my edit.
