Feature Requests
Recently active
Adobe is excited to receive requests for additional features you need to enhance your workflow. What can you do to increase the chances of being heard? Don't use the words "Feature Request" in your post's title. Search for and add to existing feature requests rather than creating duplicates. There is no advantage to creating a second request for any existing feature request. One request per thread! When creating an Idea or Feature Request thread, please keep requests for features to ONE request per thread. Doing this will allow others to vote on a single, specific feature and not confuse Upvotes amongst a list of feature requests. If an Idea thread has multiple requests in it, a moderator may ask you to split the multiple requests up into multiple threads so others can vote. In the event there remain multiple requests on a thread, the first item requested will be the arbiter of where the thread will be cross-referenced or merged. Describe how the feature will help your workflow. Des
Can we get halation simulation into Lightroom? Specifically Lightroom on iPad, but all versions should get it. Film photography is big right now. Lots of people love the look of film. But being Lightroom users means we miss out on some aspects of film because LR does not have the necessary tools. Halation is something we need to open other apps for and we need to know a bit about using layers and blend modes and stuff like that. Therefor it would be nice to just have this in the app. Here is what I’m thinking:A slider for strength/brightness.A slider for spread/area.A slider for sensitivity. Meaning a slider that adjusts what part of the photo gets halation. Will it be only the edges around very brightest parts? Or will it be more sensitive so that it applies halation to less bright parts too? (Hope that description made sense.)And lastly a way to change the color of the halation. (My native language is not English, so if I made spelling or syntax errors, I’m sorry.)
Can we get iPad mini like controls when the iPhone Duo is open please? It would be so cool to have the controls on the right side while the main picture is edited in the center. The current mobile lightroom controls stacks everything in the center which ruins the user experience during wide screen mode. Also, I am pretty sure that the a20 is more than capable, paired with 12 gigs of ram to handle ai denoise on device and it would be so cool to get that here and on iPad mini
When looking at photos to remix, there is no ability to filter results based on file type, only subject matter.I have zero interest in remixing jpg or other non-raw file types, and there is no way to tell until you click into the individual photos. Lightroom already has the inherent ability to filter by file type, and remixes all list the file type of the file in question.
When creating a location or keyword based rule for smart albums, one is forced to scroll through the entire list of locations or keywords (in my case potentially a list of more than 1000 items), rather than having a dropdown field where one can start typing and the choices arre automatically narrowed down depending on what you’ve typed. And it makes no sense that in the individual rules “does not include” is not an option. Is someone trying to make the samrt album feature so impractical that it is not at all used??
Like Lightroom Classic, I want Llightroom cloud to be able to select Photoshop Elements 2027 to edit my photos. Using full Photoshop is too cumbersome to do simple photo edits.

As a left handed person, it would be nice to have the editing panel to be on the left side, so that I can maintain more control of my Apple Pencil.
I like to share my images to the Adobe Community via Lightroom Desktop or Mobile. However, we are still unable to share images that contain AI edits like denoise and dust removal. I assume it is the same for people and reflection removal though I haven’t used those in any images. Why would this be blocked? We should be able to share these. Additionally, it would be great if we could share non-raw images as well, for example, maybe I started out working with a raw image but had to export a TIFF to do something in Photoshop or Luminar, then bring it back into Lightroom for final touches. It would be great to be able to share these as well. Maybe the ability to share these, but remix and save as preset are not options.
Feature Suggestion: Watermark Support for Shared AlbumsIt would be great to have an option to apply watermarks directly when sharing photo albums via invite links in Lightroom. Currently, watermarks can only be applied when exporting images.Adding this feature would allow photographers to share proofing albums with clients while protecting their work and maintaining brand visibility, without the need to export and re-upload watermarked images. This would be a valuable enhancement to Lightroom's client-sharing workflow.
put the watermark option on the web page for Lightroom cc, I have the option on my ipad but not on my MacBook.
Please add the feature to be able to blend/layer 2 versions of the same photo, eg. the original copy and an AI enhanced copy. This results in a more accurate and natural look. Photoshop apparently has this feature, as do several other Apps, like Affinity. This feature would be incredibly useful in Lightroom.
I am exporting photos for use in a projected presentation specifically sized for 4K TV. I have a group of horizontal and vertical photos that I would like to fit properly. To do this efficiently, I could simply choose an Export Dimension “Short side” of 2160px, but Lr Mobile for iPad doesn’t offer this option.Specifying the “short side” would allow the horizontal photos, each with their different aspect ratios (16:9, 4:3, 5:4, 3:2, etc.) to be correctly sized for the limiting factor: the height of the presentation or the short side. Vertical photos, too, would be correctly sized. With only “Long side” as an option, I must Export groups of photos, based on aspect ratio, which is terribly inefficient.
Love the mask intersect feature on desktop would love to have on the IPad as well
FYI I'm a real person that used ChatGPT to write this request because I don't want to spend a bunch of time doing it, but wanted to let you know I'm a real user! Dear Adobe Team, Please add Collaborative Proofing to Lightroom Classic and Lightroom Desktop. Right now, this feature is only available in Lightroom Web, making the proofing process unnecessarily complicated for photographers who rely on Classic for professional workflow management. I frequently send proofs to models so they can select their favorite images, but the current workflow is frustratingly inefficient: 1. I have to sync images to Lightroom Cloud, which isn’t ideal for my local storage workflow. 2. Then, I have to switch to Lightroom Web just to send the proofing link. 3. Once the model makes their selections, I have to go back into Lightroom Web to create a new album that syncs to Classic—because the selections don’t automatically transfer. 4. After that, I have to manually move the select
I cannot understand why some tools are implemented on only the mobile (iPad/Phone/Web) platforms. One example is "Add Border and Share" - this should be on all platforms (especially the desktop version) .. Maybe this is down to the feature name "share". Would a better name be "Export with Border"
Two years ago, Apple released the iPhone 16 series which included the new ‘camera control’ button. Unfortunately, while most third-party camera applications (and of course the stock iOS camera app) support launching from this button, Lightroom still does not. Please add the option to launch the Lightroom camera directly from the Camera Control button.
Since Versions is only available if you upload the photo to cloud, it isn’t available for those of us that work locally. It would be great if you could add this feature to local as well.
Since LR has this option in the latest version on desktop, it would be great to add tone curves inside masking tools on iPad as well.
Enjoying the new CC for the most part, but one of the concerns I've got so far is that some of my most-used keyboard shortcuts have been changed. For instance, I used to quickly cruise through new imports and use the Pick flag shortcut to find my selects. This used to be a very intuitive key—P—but in LR CC it's now...Z. And there's no way that I've found to change it back.Could we please have configurable keyboard shortcuts? Or at least some sort of legacy mode so our muscle memory is still effective in the new environment?
Bring back the catagories for suggested presets.. why was it removed it was so useful for finding the vibe while editing?
Hello!I am new to Lightroom. When I export my photos, I can only choose full, small, custom. Is there any way to make different sizes to choose from? It will be a timesaver. Thanks!Heiko
Hello Adobe team, I'm a dedicated Lightroom Mobile user with a Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, which has powerful hardware and Super HDR capabilities. Despite this, Lightroom Mobile's HDR viewing and editing features are only available on select Google Pixel devices, leaving out other high-performance devices like the S24 Ultra. Given the advanced capabilities of the S24 Ultra, there is no technical reason it should be excluded from full HDR support. Expanding this functionality to include more devices would enhance the experience for many users who have invested in top-tier smartphones. I hope Adobe considers updating Lightroom Mobile to enable HDR features across a broader range of supported devices. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
One thing I think the mobile and new LR CC are missing is the Develop History information. I think this is particularly important in this cloud based context: for example I may have done an edit on my phone that is not quite right (I fumbled it, screen was too small or whatever) and then need to back it out or change it when I see it on a desktop. If this could also be synced with the LR Classic develop history, this would be very powerful.
Is it possible to see editing history in Lightroom mobile? I made changes to a photo many months ago and do not recall what I did. I want to do similar changes to the rest of my photos from that shoot and I usually edit in Lightroom Classic. I know I can copy and paste the settings but I would like to know specifically what changes I made.
