I'm using Mac OS Big Sur 11.7 I have a late 2014 5k iMac, with a 4 GHz intel i7, 32 GB of 1600 MHz DDR3, and a 4 GB AMD Radeon R9 M295X video card. In Adobe Lightroom to adjust image geometry to straighten a scanned/photographed image, I can use the bars to draw along it's edges to automatically straighten the image. In Adobe Lightroom there's a zoomed in preview which allows my selection to be precise. But that doesn't happen in Photoshop. Why the disparity? It's a great function, and should be consistent across apps. I don't want to have to switch to another application for good performance for just one step in my process.Thank you!
I would love to see Adobe offer a “stable diffusion” ability either by partnership or in-house development. Something along the lines of Dall-e. I hope this is the right forum to post this request. This would be very valuable for designers and concept artists.
Hello how can i attach Content Credentials when i am rendering Videos and GIFS in Photoshop?
I have seen no real solutions to this over the years so I am assuming there might be a technical reason Adobe doesn't do this. 3rd party app SageThumbs is no longer actively updated and I tried several others unsatisfactorily with Windows 11. Possibly one solution for those with Creative Cloud would be for Adobe to add a "Open this Folder in Bridge" option in Windows Explorer. At least you wouldn't have to navigate to the folder, realize you can't see the PSD and PSB thumbs and then open Bridge and navigate. I've tried all the other fixes, several utilties, the preview pane etc etc. This seems to me to be at least a workable solution. It is a pain in the butt when you work with mixed files including Photoshop, and getting everyone in the office to use to Bridge to solve what should be a simple ask like viewing a thumbnail isn't likely to happen.
Needs "Request Changes" action Needs "Approved" action Needs "New Revision" update
Adobe, we need to work on making Photoshop brushes to work with touch screen laptop and devices, it's essential and the future! I know that millios of users who are upgrading to touch screen devices like me would appreciate it! Thank you
I know I'm not the only designer who needs to be able to find the closest match to my artwork in an user defined / created color swatch library. I would LOVE it if we could either: 1) Gain the ability to create color books using established swatches. My vendors send me swatch books in .ase or .aco format. I NEED to find the mathematical closest match within the available swatches in my vendor libraries. OR 2) Add a "find closest match" function that pulls from a user defined selection of swatches. To really make designers happy, this functionality should work in Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign at minimum. It would also be nice if we had the option to see the top 3-5 closest matches.
I think it would be great if there was a visual scripting tool that may not require written script knowledge. Something that promotes artist to create scripts for those who want to go beyond actions. Blender has a plugin that allows creating visual scripts exactly this, and for those who know Python scripting can add written scripts as well. Would be an amazing tool for artist in Photoshop as well.
I'm a fulltime photographer and the inability to use actions on the iPad version of photoshop is rendering LR CC and iPad Photoshop utterly useless to me and many others at this point. Actions are typically tiny in size and I know well that they can be implemented; are there any plans at all to do this? Many dedicated adobe users have paid hundreds of dollars on photoshop actions, have upgraded gear, and would love a more modern workflow that utilizes Photoshop on iPad and iPad Pro. Actions are incredibly important. I could even live without brushes in Lightroom CC if we could just have our user-loaded actions available on iPadOS. At this point many of us truly prefer editing on an iPad Pro over our Macs but this very simple detail is derailing the whole thing.
Hi,I wanna paint on 1 layer with different opacity. So i use the shortcut right mousclick + alt + control (PC), to change the opacity of the brush with a vertical mouse-movement (unchecked "vary round brush hardness based on HUD vertical movement). So i change it fast on my pen, which I use.But if i am on low opacity and do multiple strokes, which "overlap", i get an additive effect and the color gets darker. So, i need a function, where the density is compared, so it dont overlap the maximum value, which i actualy set.I saw on other programs, there are functions for this, but couldnt find it in Photoshop, to prevent this overlap.I am not interessted in creating new layer, for different opacity. Thats not my question. I would like to have this fast way, changing the opacity on 1 layer, so i can layer my drawing with different opacity. This is good, if i do gesture drawings and use low opacity for basic feel and motion of the figure, higher opacity for anatomical lines and max opacity fo
Recently I've learnt that a new layer can be created below the active one by holding the Ctrl button while clicking the icon. But for some reason it doesn't work with the Adj. layers Why? Is there any other key for them? Just curious (don't suggest to make custom actions as I was told on facebook, lol; actually I don't need this at all, just explore PS features)
Dear Adobe, Please hire some new talents to rewrite Photoshop's code. Now I am switching back to Photoshop 2020 so I can use it. With every new release it gets slower and slower... A simple task like gradient on a mask, or just applaying some median blur - it takes ages....not fun. I already have switched off using the graphic card (it did not help). I use it on a IMac with 64 ram, 8gb amd radeon and 3.8 quad-core intel i5. On the same machine I fire up Houdini and run it smootly (both simulations, modeling and render). How is it possible for an application that is 10 times heavier to run faster and smooter than Photoshop???!! hint (maybe its the code)It is a simple suggestion and I am sure that I am not the only one experiencing this.
Hello, The tools allowing the creation of a selection are more numerous on photoshop than on lightroom. We also have the possibility of memorizing this selection before saving the layers. I would like to be able to reread the file in lightroom and be able to recover the selection in the form of a lightroom mask. Example of use: select the skin in photoshop and be able to perform a skin smoothing in lightroom using the texture slider.Have a good day..
Come on Adobe PLEASE we need the "Extra Large" and "Jumbo" options added to the UI Font Size preference.Everything is too small on a Samsung 32 Class UHD Thunderbolt Borderless 4K Monitor, not just the fonts.Mac running macOS Monterey Version 12.6. on Mac mini (M1, 2020)Adobe Photoshsop 2022: Preferences > Interface > UI Font Size: Large and Checked Scale UI To Font.
We are currently limited to 6 colors plus grey for coloring / color coding layers. There is also no option to create default colors. Expecially when working with multiple artboards on a single canvas, it can make it very difficult to keep layers appart, with only six colors options. There is also no way to create default colors. I think it is time that Adobe adds more color coding options to layers. It has been done for guides, why not also add this option to layers? Makes alot more sense to add it to layers, rather than guides.

When working through and resolving review comments on a .psdc file in photoshop the blue "resolved comment" lingers too long, briefly hiding the next review comment in the list. For pro-power users working at speed to get through reviews this slows down the process and causes a small repeated delay in productivity. Please provide a check option to never show this pop-up message again for those of us of who don't need repeated reminders about how the software works. Thanks!
Exporting motion GIF needs to be more than 1024×1024
Photoshop Web (beta), Chrome, macOS When I move a layer around, I do not see it show alignment guidance nor snap to positions relative to other layers or the canvas in ways that it does in other Adobe applications, such as:Align with the edges of another layerAlign horizontally or vertically with another layer's centerAlign horizontally or vertically with the canvas' center This is valuable to me because it helps me ensure that I am pixel-perfect when it comes to alignment of my layers, and this guidance has been something I've relied on regularly with other Adobe applications.
Would be awesome to be able to personalize what goes in the history. Like, to take off or to block a specific kind of manipulation that goes in the history. I don't mean "deleting a history slate", but specifically having a move that won't be recorded as a history slate. My problem stands on one specific aspect: having every "LAYER VISIBILITY" move going in the history. It's a real bummer. It's eating a lot of slates. I am aware that I can set up more slates to be recorded, but at 99, I feel it's ok regarding the memory use. So yeah, I could eventually give more than 99 to help, but that's not my point, and it will not solve my problem. I work a lot with layers visibility to fine tune (like many of us I guess), so there is a lot of history slates referring that kind of move. And having it on the history is to me completely useless. I will never go back to a history slate to find back a layer visibility; it works way better by clicking on layers visibility itself t
Most of your customers are probably Windows users. Since you already developed the touch gestures support for almost all devices, what the hell is stopping you from giving to the average custumer the basics for using your softwares with a laptop? Also, I don't think it's unusual that a Desktop PC user with a trackpad comes across your softwares. Why, then? It's unbelievable.
I use a stylus, I know there are other options like pen tool and holding alt down while using the lasso tool. the poly tool is my mental default while i'm working. often, i'm clicking away in rapid succession with the polygonal lasso tool and suddenly it will auto close. this will ruin/set back many minutes of very tedious work, it's beyond frustrating. if there was a preference that would allow you to disable double click close, and allow you to close your selections with return/enter that would be a huge relief. it's such a constant pain point for me and many of my colleagues. Thank you!
I am working on complex files with many layers and groups of layer. Sometimes I purge old layers I no longer need. It would be great if it were possible to view the date created/modified on each layer, similar to how a links palette in InDesign. That way, I could sort oldest to newest. I also have a record of what I did when. Not essential, but it would add versatility to the layers.
Often, Photoshop opens images at a smaller magnification, like 33 or 50%. I think that plenty of users would prefer their image to open in the largest size possible, aka Fit on screen. Currently, in order to set photoshop that way, one needs to 1) know semi-advanced Actions operations (insert meny item) 2) have to use the intimidating and obscure scripts events manager to run the action automatically. I think that users should be able to select how they prefer the documents to open (default, fit on screen, 100%) in the preferences, instead of having to know Photoshop inside out in order to acheive their goal (open an image and see it...).
