I love that the newest version includes a colour wheel and much kudos for that - however, you can only use it with HSB sliders - no support to use LAB sliders together with the colour wheel. Why not group the colour wheel together with the spectrum/ramp choices? That's what the colour wheel replaces anyway, and it seems like a much, much more sensible and intuitive fit. It'd also support different sliders (like CMYK, LAB or RGB sliders).I'll be sticking with Coolorus for now, but the colour wheel is still a step in the right direction!
Hello !With CC2019, there is a new feature for horizontal flipping, which affect just the view and no pixel. It works perfectly for the "central page" view, but not in the navigator. Is it possible to affect the navigator too ? Or add an option to flip it too ?Thank you 🙂
The new color wheel interface added as an option to the Color panel in Photoshop is great and offers an intuitive view of HSL. I'd prefer to use that interface in the Color Pickers (foreground, background, type). Please add the option to use the Color Wheel rather than the Hue Cube in the Color Pickers.
I just saw in Affinity Photo that they have a live update when you flip through layer blending mode. Its something I've wanted for Photoshop for years! It would be a nice feature to add.
I'm using a customised keyboard shortcut for the Quick Selection tool ("Q"), but when I enter the new "Select and mask" taskspace (PS CC 2015.5), the keyboard shortcut falls back to "W", the default one. I assume this also happens with the other common tools (lasso and brush) if you are using a customised keyboard shortcut for them. This is not a problem for people who use the defaults, but it's a real performance hit for those of us who did change them and are used to work fast relying on muscle memory+keyboard shortcuts. For me, this is a problem, but I am still posting this as "Idea" because I think that, after all, this is the way photoshop works normally: specific interfaces inside PS (as Liquify, Vanishing point, etc.) have their own set of keyboard shortcuts, "disconnected" from those of the main interface. Still, I think it would be great if at some point you were to make them all consistent whenever possible across these different interfaces inside PS, specially where the "S
Hi, we have always long layer names and the most important part is at the END of the name and not the beginning. The naming rules for many files and file paths are very strict, and changes or versions or numbers are always the last part of the name.So we often either can’t read (and identify) the most important last part of the layer name or we need to waste a lot space on the monitors. And properly working on a laptop with more than one layer visible is often impossible.I attached a rough idea, what option Photoshop should get to display names.Especially in documents with a few hundred layers became just normal this would be a important update. MY SUGGESTION:
Something I love in illustrator is spacing out objects evenly no matter the object's width. IE: putting 20px between each differently shaped nav item.
I use the picture package in Photoshop CS4 but in CS5 it craches
When using Edit / Auto-Blend Layers' "seamless tones and colors" option to help get different exposures to blend together, the corrections are only applied to the areas which are white in the layer mask for each given layer in the output. This assumes that the masking process is perfect, which is not always the case - and actually rare when using this tool for "focus stacking".It would be greatly beneficial if "seamless tones and colors" were applied to the entire layer, which would then allow the user to adjust layer masks as needed to manually correct the final result - while maintaining consistent tones and colors across the blended edges.
As a web designer who still grieves for Fireworks, I really miss in Photoshop a way to switch between artboards as we used to do with States or Pages in FW. When I design a website, I create a layout for every major page (Home, Products, Contact, etc), and it's very important to easily jump from one to another.I sugest at least a keyboard shortcut to switch artboards. Ideally, Adobe could let users choose whether they prefer all artboards visible in the same canvas (as it is today), or, instead, to make artboards as a pile of layers, just like Fireworks Pages and States. Please, Adobe, I've never asked you for anything before 🙂
I would like to be able to toggle wet edges for the brush I'm currently using on and off with a keyboard shortcut, is this possible?
Why has the Screen function in photoshop CS5 print dialogue box been removed. ?? This function is essential for screen print separators for the Apparel industry and has been part of photoshop since the beginning. It may be irrelevant in certain industries as postscript printers can over ride these settings. However in the printing of Apparel this function is still essential for multichannel simulated process separations. Bitmaps halftones or Colour halftones are a very inaccurate and tedious workaround for this so called flag ship program. I'm very disappointed with Photoshop CS5. I will now be forced to use CS3. Why did I bother with an upgrade. ? This shows Adobe has a lack of understanding of how its customers use there products.
Could we have a custom brushes quad menu to access customizable sub folders. Please see discussion regarding custom brushes here: http://forums.adobe.com/message/6084985
When I open a document created using a font that I don't have, I want the opportunity to replace all instances of that font with another. This process is pretty straight forward in Illustrator and even Flash, why can I not find this in Photoshop? Image is not available
In the Colour Balance panel menu / dialog box (properties), I would like to have the ability to set keyboard shortcuts to easily jump between the Shadows / Midtones / Highlights— having to use the mouse to switch each is annoying.I like using the TAB and ⌥+TAB to move between the the three colour ranges, and the arrow keys or number pad to enter values, but not having a keyboard shortcut to switch the tonal ranges slows things down. This would be a great help!
Don't know why it's not in there but would be good to have. The only way to do this is to click Zoom tool and then click the little "Fill Screen" button at the top. Can you add it to the Ketboard Shortcut list?
Dear,How can i place a batch of linked files into photoshop so i have immediatelly all my pictures on seperate layers and linked...you can use the function "place linked file" but only 1 file at a time and not a complete folder or a selection of files.Thank you for helping.Best regards,Tommy
is it possible to have the annotation tool like in adobe Acrobate?Adding a maker or a pen for quick drawing. And the possibility to make them visible or hide in the panel annotation.all these to take quick annotation on the fly when getting debrief behind screen...
Liquify needs an update to support: 1. Smart Objects 2. Command (control) F for redoes 3. Mesh speed-up All of these issues are critical for high-emd professional retouchers who work with very (2 Gb plus are common) large layered files. Smart Object support would allow them to return to a move and refine. Command F repeat would allow them to apply the same move to multiple layers as needed, and finally the Save & Load mesh is painfully slow - so slow that many retouchers are forced back to CS4. Liquify is used a LOT to make the beautiful more perfect - but it needs some attention to bring it up to speed with the power of Puppet Warp. Thank you!
After Photoshop CC 2015.1 update the size of swatches are super huge and fills a large portion of the screen (while viewing all of them...which i do) at the minimum size. Is this intentional? Is there a way to get smaller, manageable swatch sizes again?
i've loaded about 1'683 fonts... (more or less) in fontexplorer Pro i made beautiful sets (folders) to organise all of them. I sorted them by type (serif, sans-serif, pixel, whatsoever) it would be an major advantage that those folder or similar ones would appear in the font-lists.. because the alphabetical order is ok. but with too many fonts activated it's so boring to type you through the abc instead of check all fonts of a similar kind...
Ability to extend and rotate gradient interactively to get it perfect before you release the mouse button to commit. It's annoying to have to keep redoing the gradient until it looks right, so we really need it interactive.
I'd love the option to see what lies outside the bounds of my document and have those items be selectable. As an interactive designer I'm constantly shifting UI elements around during the design phase. It's often that I reposition or draw items where parts of them extend beyond the canvas and if I need to resize or rearrange these items it's difficult for me to see where they stop/start or exist if they lay outside the canvas. I don't see this as an "always on" option, but rather a toggle when I need it (much like hiding and showing guides) and where the items could even be faded back to 50% opacity, for example. I believe this would dramatically improve workflow efficiency.
Its nice that Photoshop warns me that I cant make changes to a smart object with the clone stamp tool and asks if id like to rasterize it, but why does it pop up yet another warning I have to click threw to confirm that I do not want to rasterize my smart object. Could we limit the amount of pop u warnings to just one? Just a thought.
I am becoming very frustrated by the lack of response or rationale for a very simple problem we have with the later versions of Photoshop. We are an R&D firm out of Colorado that works with multinational central banks and press companies to supply trial graphics for currency and anti-counterfeiting purposes. Recently we have started using a resolution that exceeds 10,000 DPI to design for their presses, as such resolution is needed and used in currency to give the sharpest images possible (and thus deter counterfeiting). Given the advances in printing technology, it seems counterintuitive for Adobe to cap resolution settings for the user when before it was never done. Why the change? We legitimately need the extra pixels for mapping and design purposes for machines that support this. Microprinting will lead to resolutions that easily surpass 10,000 DPI in the very near future so I'm not sure why Adobe thinks it's necessary to take a step backwards. If it is not possible to reintrod
