I'm a little surprised you don't have the shape tool - please add it? Please?

Hi,   I am currently learning Photoshop on my MacBook Pro and got to learn that a straight line can be drawn with brushes using the shift key. I don't have a graphic tablet, but I have an iPad Pro with an Apple Pencil. And I got to learn that the shift method of drawing a straight line isn't available on iPad Photoshop. Hence, I am writing this here to request for this feature. Hope others who need this feature vote for it.

This may not be an application bug, because when I create a fresh document and use the fill command, it works just fine. It seems to be specific to the file I'm working on, which has a number of locked layers (transparent pixels in layer are locked). When attempting to create a new fill layer at the bottom of the layers panel, I get this error message: "Could not fill because the affected area is empty or does not overlap the canvas." When I unlock these "transparent locked" layers, I can make the fill just fine. So this may be a feature request:When selecting a subfolder that contained locked layers of any type, can you add an unlocking function that applies to all the layers in the subfolder?If the feature exists already, can you please add it to the layers submenu?If this is something that I can toggle on, can you tell me where in General Settings I can do so?

Need a way to organize fonts into groups or folders inside Photoshop, as scrolling through hundreds of fonts eacht time is counter-productive. There should be a feature inside Photoshop where I can group fonts into different groups according to my preferences (such as "Font Combos" for fonts that pair well together or "Fonts for Real Estate Marketing" and "Fonts for Kids Programs Ads" with the ability to include several different fonts into each group).  And that needs to be done easily withing Photoshop (so I don't have to interrupt my workflow). Good morning,Yesterday I set up my PS Beta and it's fantastic. I also like the new Parametric filters. What I use mostly for my artwork which is printed on canvas, is an extra 'canvas' touch, which I always add with the 'Texturizer (canvas) Filter' in my regular PS. It's missing in the Beta! Can it be included in the Parametric filters?Many thanks for your kind consideration, Thea Menagh

The (Mac)keyboard shortcut to make a copy of a selection when not in the move tool is: command-option-drag selection. That's all good! But this same keyboard shortcut should NOT duplicate fully locked layers. A locked layer should really be locked (like Illustrator) or else there should be a preference to make it so, please. thanks.

The tool buttons in the palette are dark. Selecting one makes it only a little darker and nearly impossilbe to see what is selcted with a quick glance often meaning one has to select it again to confirm it is the one you want. Can the background color of the tolls be lighter to increase the contrast bewteen the selected tool and the others?

Hi, I work intensive on websites and other digital media (such as apps) and use slices and "save for web" all the time. When I have a big file with many slices on it and only want to save one or two, photoshop creates a preview of the whole file. This takes a some time. I often don ́t need this optimization feature, because every slice has set the correct file preset already. For example I see that a color or gradient has to be changed on the page. I make some slightly color change at one slice (on a big image file with many slices) and start "save for web". It makes a big preview and I have to wait before I can save. One "trick" I use is to crop my image to a small size with the needed slices, save for web and the undo. But when I forget to undo and save.....its big sh** 😉 ● So I only want, that there is in the save for web & devices dialog a checkbox "create preview". ● Also it would be a solution to simply save the last state of the tabs in the preview area. There should be an adjustment layer in which we can add effects like gaussian blur or noise and it would effect all the layers below it. This adjustment layer shouldn't be created with brush but also with ellipse or rectangle tool

In complex compositions, especially, templates that are going to be used by others, it's often required to place linked layers far from each other in the layers stack that need to show/ hide simultaneously to achieve the right effect, with 10s of layers and groups in between, this is a true pain.

It would be great if we could have non-destructive layer adjustment for each individual mask. Currently I have to add a mask then adjust it destructively with image > adjustments .....and then redo the mask if i want to change it later. An adjustment layer option which ONLY affected the mask (or one which had an option to select which mask to afferct) would solve this issue, save time AND help to maintain non-destructive workflows 

I always edit things by order, and it's a bit making it slow if I need to open it from the first tabs from last tabs after I close the first one. Please make the setting of it, thank you

First of all I am on an iMac, OS 14.1.2 using PS cc v 25.6  This is a pet peeve of mine. Don't know if this is an issue with the Windows version.It would be extremely useful for PS to have the same brush functionality when changing the feathering of the brush.  In LR and ACR when you have selected a brush and you change the feathering with the "Shift+[" or "Shift+]" you see the internal ring change size and you can see the brush on your layer so you know exactly where the feathering is.   This can not be done in PS v 25.5.6 or PS Beta, the only way is to use "Ctrl+Opt" to show the brush and when you let go you have only one circle and when you change the feathering with he "Shift+[" or "Shift+]" only see the circle get larger or smaller just like using "[" or "]" to change the size of the brush. Please Please add this feature, if it can be in LR and ACR then it can be and should be in PS Thanks you in advance for considering this feature, if impl

On Windows, we have the keyboard shortcuts ALT-[ and ALT-] which are used to move between layers in the layer panel. The problem is that those shortcuts only work on VISIBLE layers and not on HIDDEN layers. They need to work on ALL layers. I mean, I can select any layer, visible or hidden, just fine with the mouse, so why am I restricted to visible layers only with the keyboard shortcut? My job often involves processing images with lots of layers, and the stuff I do involves lots of keyboard shortcuts. Literally EVERYTHING I need to do can be accomplished with keyboard shortcuts EXCEPT for moving from a visible layer to a hidden layer. There is even a keyboard shortcut to toggle visibility for a layer (CTRL-,), but it's useless for turning a layer visible, because you cannot navigate to the hidden layer with the keyboard!I waited 2 hours and 20 minutes in chat support queue, only to be told "That is the expected behavior. I would like a local assets version of the Libraries tab.  The Libraries tab was a great setup for managing my assets (overlays, backgrounds, etc.) but I used up the 20GB cloud space in a few days. I have all my assets stored locally, and would like to be able to see them in the same format as the libraries tab to organize, and find what I need quickly, without having to leave Photoshop. This, for local assets. Thanks,Matt T. 

Hello. What is missing in shared link view is Artboard names, if they have meaning (300x600, 300x250 px exp.).  Now designer sees naming and meaning of formats, but not the client who sees only page with images.  So, my wish is to view Artboard naming in shared link's view. Thanks.

Why does Photoshop have to keep menus with Windows 95 graphics in 2024? Why? What's the reason?In Illustrator you can edit with third-party programs, but why does Photoshop have to remain so dated? For what valid reason?      

One feature a competitors software had that i really liked that seems like it would be really easy to implement would be a feature that rotates the brush tip shape to a random orientation but locks it in place for each stroke as opposed to the rotate brush option that rotates each sample stamp of the brush. So each stroke of the brush your tip shape would be different from the previous stroke. This is great for painting workflows for things like painting fur and hair with brush tip shapes with series of dots as it gives an appearance of randomness to the strokes. My current workflow in ps is i use such a brush then have to do another pass to break up the pattern it creates since each stroke is clearly from the same pattern.

This is fairly self explanatory. Have a setting in addition to "Sample all layers" that only samples the current layer and the layers below.  As an illustrator i have not encountered any instances where i would need to sample layers on top of a layer while painting wth the mixer brush and it causes very strange behavior when you try to paint under a layer with a linework or some atmospheric transparent mist or light shafts above what i'm painting. Not having this feature is disruptive to mine and many artists workflows because while i don't use lines in my work i do use them as a guide early in the painting process and being able to paint under them for initial blocking would be very useful but is currently not possible as it samples the linework above and smears it around. Currently when i want to use this brush on a layer that's not my top layer i have to hunt around for other layers above it and turn them off if there's pixels on top of what i'm painting. 

I would like to use a floating window as a crop tool in the sense that I could zoom in to just the image I want and then be able to select only the pixels I see in the window with a keyboard command such as command-A. I have not been able to find a solution and transform selection is so far the best option but not easy or ideal. 

Hello during my weekly jobs, I have to merge more than 200 views in  HDR.dng file.My workflow is:-Select 3 pics for each view from Bridge: Open in CameraRaw,-Select All,-Merge in HDR (mostly with ghosting off),-Save,-Close the Camera Raw,-Repeat more than 100 times.My question is.. there is some tool that works like that: (for example) I select with red labels every 3 exposures from each view, then I will have around 300 pics selected for example.Next, I will select all the photos with labels click on merge to HDR.. and CameraRaw automatically will merge the pictures with the same point of view creating 100 different HDR .dng files?This will be a game changer and will save hours from my timeDo you know some tool for it? Or maybe the Adobe Photoshop department is working on it? Cheers! 🙂

Adobe can you please make the bar automatically position to the bottom of an image/working area? Or maybe if the bar can be moved at the users will, so far I only see an option to pin or hide the bar. Don't know if anyone feels the same but I find it distracting that the bar is in the middle of the working area. Then you have to hide it and if you want it to reappear > Window > Contextual Task Bar. I don't think I have this issue in illustrator, now that I think of it I think it goes to the bottom on illustrator. Not 100% sure though.

in the guides section  (view> guides)The words 'Edit current guide layout'.'New guide layout' makes me think i'm going to lose the current guide layout - edit makes me think that i can make changes rather than starting a new one. Also including a lock icon so that you can apply one value to complete all other guides, like you have here in the options for a rectangle tool.
