Feature Requests

Hi Adobe Development Team and Community, I am not sure if this already exists and/or works differently in Adobe's ecosystem. Is it possible to mount Adobe's cloud storage space as a file-system in user space? Similar to what Google Drive Desktop app offers. This is so that for the Adobe CC Apps, user can configure the preferences to point the project data, input and output data paths to the file-system in user-space which will be Adobe's Cloud storage. Which can automatically continue to sync in the background. And hence there's no active effort needed to save or load data from the Adobe Cloud storage. Looking forward to your thoughts and if this is already possible please let me know how so that I can set it up for my usage. Thanks,Bhavik

I really enjoy using the transcription tool when editing long interviews or podcasts. A feature that I could really benefit from would be face detection that coincides with that. I want to be able to name the speakers in the transcription tool and also categorize footage based on whose face is present. Being able to filter clips based on who is present in them would speed up editing dramatically.  For example Bob is talking. It would be so nice to instead of having to organize all of my clips manually by person, be able to search through a B-roll folder for Bobs face so I can include his B-roll while he is talking. Has anyone heard of any plug-ins or is this something that is being worked on?  

Add a simple checkbox option in the Effect Controls panel for masks to make them static. That way when you keyframe an image or video clip to move around, the mask won't move with it. That way we don't have to go through hoops copy pasting masks on color mattes on a new track, nesting the things we want effected by the masks, or animating the mask path with keyframes so it moves in the opposite direction of the content we're masking, etc.

Hello, as a content creator, I use Hebrew subtitles a lot. Is there a target date for the release of the feature to transcribe subtitles in Hebrew? 

Like in Photoshop, you can change the appearance color of the app surrounding your image to white, shades gray or black. It would be very helpful to be able to change the background color in your Program Monitor to pure white, not just the entire appearance color of the app to a light gray. Videos are posted to YouTube and websites that have a white background and it would be very helpful to know exactly how it will look.

BETA:  In the new Text to Timeline Editing, I so much want to highlight the text (and it turns blue and that's great) but I would love to GRAB that BLUE BOX and just move GUI around to the place I want it to go to without the copy and pasting part.  I mean, copy and paste can be there but adding the literally moving the BLUE HIGHLIGHT BOX to where I want it feels like that's what I would want it to do...  I know, maybe not possible... 

PLEASE can this be made a feature? I have an RTX 3070 for displays, and an RTX 4090 for rendering. In Blender, I can select which GPU(s) I want to use. Premiere doesn't let me do that. It usually ends up using the 3070 and then crashing when it runs out of VRAM.

When sending edited clips from a Premiere timeline into Audition, the only option I'm aware of is to use the "Edit Clip in Audition" feature, while selecting the clips you want in the timeline (labeled Yellow below)  This feature would be far more usefull to Editors and Sound Designers if the user could specify handles for the output, as can be done in the "Render and Replace" feature (Which by the way does not seem to allow the user to specify audio only file types such as .wav, even after attempting to import a preset -pictured below).  The reason is that it does not even seem to calculate audio crossfade handles, ensuring that the files are very infllexible to work witn, and cannot accomadate any revisions/ edits, once back in a premiere sequence.  The curent workflow for what I'm doing are as follows:(A manual Noise Reduction with the tools in Audition, on the interview clips used in a sequence) Duplicate the clips in question and paste into another se

I work at a commercial house. We like everything about Premiere teams besides the sharing and receiving changes to the cloud as there are issues with wait time when sharing and receiving changes. Premiere Productions seems a little too complex for our workflow. We would love all the features of Premiere teams but to just work on a shared storage environment so that there is no use of the cloud.

Hi,Currently, we see new opportunities that these filters in Photoshop. But we still can notum the AI techniques in working with the video inside the Adobe pipeline. We know about the development of several third-party projects at once that open these opportunities, but all of them are not devoid of many shortcomings. Perhaps Adobe should have thought about introducing this technology into work with the video. Since these filters require quite large resources for work, it is possible to make a plugin for AE, in which it would be possible to send clips and sequences for the render with their subsequent replacement on the timeline.

It would be useful to have an audio patching option directly in the Source panel (waveform view) as per attached screenshot. The user could enable/disable the blue buttons on the left hand side of the Source panel which are mirrored in the Timeline panel and vice versa (mockup attached). I'm fully aware of the modify clip dialogue box but I think patching with the Source panel could offer a better user experience.  

One of the main aspects I used in the Legacy Titler was a Stroke Effect called "Depth" which added a retro 3d-like effect to the text, and has become an essential part of the videos I'm editing. I found out recently that this feature was removed entirely in 23.0, and because of that I will keep using 22.0 until hopefully this feature (as well as other missing features from Legacy Titler) are added into Source Graphics for a truly seamless transiton into the new text format. This is my first time suggesting an idea, so I really hope the Adobe team actually reads these posts and takes the user's inputs seriously, but honestly I have no idea if they do. Similar to Photoshop and After Effects, it would be very useful to get a readout of the RGB value of a pixel in the Info panel. Perfect for checking the accuracy of logos/branding assets. Mockup attached

Ability to save custom scopes presets within the Lumetri Scopes panel. One common setup - Vectorscope YUV, RGB Parade, Waveform Luma is not featured in the list of presets, hence the ability to save custom presets would be useful. Screenshot attached.

Hi, it would be quite helpful for premiere to have a video and audio track colour labelling feature to visually organize tracks on the timeline. A similar feature is available in davinci resolve. I know you can label clip colours and bins but there is no current way to colour code an entire track. I have attached a screenshot from davinci resolve of what i mean Thanks.

There's no denying it... the Export Frame window SUCKS! Here are 4 EASY ways to make it suck less (which would go a long way towards Adobe showing its users they care. BTW, spending resources on accelerating cheesy effects from the 80's that no one uses anymore (i.e. Split and Center Split transitions) as was done lately does NOT show they care about us... it only goes to show how out of tune they are.  Here's an easy opportunity for them to get back on track [/end rant]:  1. NAMING The Name input field should automatically display the LAST USED NAME during an editing session! If I want to export a bunch of still frames to give to a client, and name the first one ‘Ceita Corê Still Image 001’, it's 99.9% more likely that I'm going to want my next exported frame to be called ‘Ceita Corê Still Image 002’ rather than the generic 'Sequence Name.00_03_10_05.Still002'.  So why does Pr completely disrespect our time as editors by defaulting to names most editors d

Hiya.When one item is selected on the timeline, the info panel displays the start/end/duration etc in the same format as the timeline (timecode, feet+frames, frames), but if multiple clips are selected the info panel always displays the overall duration as timecode.The feature request is for the info panel display to match the current timecode display setting, e.g if the display is set to frames, when multiple clips are selected to also display the total duration in frames, rather than defaulting to timecode.The reason this would be useful for me is it's very helpful in animation to be able to calculate durations of shot elements from placeholders/storyboards in an animatic, and currently to do that requires extra steps, whereas if we make this change then the display would be consistent with the user-selected settings.

I've been trialing the text based editing beta on an interview heavy peice that I'm working on, is there a way to keep the transcript up of the source while I make a quick edit in the timeline.I find that I'll make a quick change on the timeline, i.e. move the playhead or delete an accedental insert, the transcript with change to the  timeline transcript and then I have to select the source again to get back to what I was doing and scroll and find my place again.

I'd love to see Premiere Pro natively support creating creative subtitles with ease.With the transcription feature already in place, it'd be an incredible addition to be able to edit creative social media subtitles like they are often used on Podcast Clips / Social Media Posts / Shorts / Reels.Is this something Adobe has planned for Premire Pro?Thanks.

Basically to have similar settings to what you'd see in the Essential Graphics panel. Or the layer style settings in Photoshop.   I know there's workarounds by combining multiple different + duplicated effects to emulate the results but it gets annoying and tedious doing this in projects where it's needed for multiple clips. Copy-pasting only goes so far until you need a different color stroke/fill/gradient in each clip/image file, or a different sized stroke for clips of different aspect ratios-- and you need to change multiple settings to do these things. There should be a single effect or window that's simple and straightforward to use like what you see in the layer effects window in Photoshop for example.

Hi! With the amazing transcription feature it would make a lot of sense if the search bar within the project-window also had the opportunity to search and list every time a word you search for shows up across transcripts. Let's say I have three interviews. Insted of searching each and every one of them for say "president" and going through each file. One search across the project with each hit within the transcription would make sense while searching. The list could be for example "interview 1" - transcribed text "the president is the leader", interview 2 "when I last spoke with the president". If I am at that point able to click play on the search results I can easily find what I am looking for. 

I would love to see a workflow like this:Ingest footage into project.Add to timeline and sync.Transcribe footage.Upload script transcript.Adobe cuts the content to fit the uploaded script transcript, therefore cutting out anything that is not in the script. The "excess" material that is cut is placed in a bin as clips or some other device that will allow the editor to tweak what the the automation did.Please!!!

I know everyone does multicamera differently but....most of my work is cutting 2-3 camera interviews. When I playback I have Ctrl-1/2 set to cut to camera 1 or 2. I generally don't use the multi- camera view becuase once you scale a 4K multicamera down to 1080 things go awry in that viewer. (Fix this please adobe the 4K to 1080p scale down is extremely common) Frustration:  When I cut to camera two it only adds a cut to the video track. This makes two clips on the video track and keeps one audio clip. One of these clips is still linked to the audio track so when I got to click it linked selection works, but when I click the other clip it is unlinked and you can basically slide it out of sync very very easiy. Many times I might want to cut out a line or dead air between camera 1 and 2 so I am doing ripple edits on the audio and video at the same time, another reason why I want all tracks cut.  Workaround: I usually stop my playhead, add a cut acro
