Hi, I like to quickly toggle between Ripple and Roll tools in Trim Mode with a keyboard shortcut. However, I can't think of one time I have used the Selection tool in Trim Edit mode. Maybe it's how I was trained, but I only want Ripple or Roll. How about you? Not everyone uses Trim Edit, but it's important to me. Perhaps there are edge cases for Selection and fine-tuning trims in Trim Edit mode that I am unaware of. I can't think of any. Let me know if you agree by upvoting. Why do I want this feature request? Craft editors would appreciate fewer toggles to get to ripple or rolling edits. A faster way to toggle between the tools craft editors use most. This is an issue I experience almost every time I am doing fine-trimming. I hope I am not alone in wanting this feature adjusted slightly by removing unnecessary tools from craft editing. Toggle less, enjoy life more. Please, upvote! Thanks,Kevin
Hi, Learning a different NLE in the 90s, I recall the timeline animated in real-time when making dynamic trims, including audio waveforms - and this was in the 90s. Tracks expanded and contracted as you trimmed. I want that. Do you? Upvote. Why am I requesting this? Craft editors (especially those that cut dialog) appreciate and expect a responsive trim mechanism. Visual feedback in the Timeline is vital in Trim Mode to see and hear feedback in the Timeline and the 2-up UI for craft editors. A craft editor would also expect dynamic (JKL) trimming, like, nudge edits and rolling edits (especially while looping with Play Around or Looping In to Out) would be equally "live" in the Timeline. I discussed this request with a community member, but he has not posted it yet, so I went ahead. I hope that's cool with the community. Please upvote this request for better trimming. Thanks,Kevin
When Time Remapping a clip, the position of all other keyframes (Opacity, Motion, etc) doesn't get respected relative to the clip. For example, if there are 2 opacity keyframes at the end of the clip to fade it out, these keyframes no longer affect the clip as expected if it has any Time Remapping keyframes applied to it (even though the keyframes continue to appear in the correct location in the Timeline and Effect Controls window). The current workaround is to nest any Time Remapped clips and apply all other keyframed effects to the nest, but this is a major PITA! Pr version: 22.6.3OS: MacOS Ventura 13.1 Pr team, PLEASE fix problems like this rather than stroking your egos with pet projects such as the recent interface overhauls that not only failed to help editors in any substantial way, but actually made things worse for most (if not all) users! Thank you.
When generating peak files in the background, PPro displays an uninformative file by file progress (no overall progress) in the bottom right of the window. It would be better to have more informative progress displayed in the progress window. It would be helpful to be able to resize the progress window so that even at very small size it would display progress bars for all background progesses. Bonus question: is there any documentation anywhere about what exactly the progress window is supposed to do?Here's the search:"Progress Window"? (searching for "Progress Panel" is about the same)Extra Bonus question: Is this a "panel" as suggested by related documentation or a "window" as suggested by the PPro menu bar? R.
Building on Premiere's current ability to open sequences loaded into the source monitor, it would also be very handy to be able to view single clips in a timeline that are loaded into the source monitor. The timeline itself wouldn't be editable, so perhaps it would have a much more distinctive look from the main timeline. We could also extend this feature by grabbing a selection of clips from our mainline and placing them into this phantom timeline from which we can insert and overwrite from. And yes, this has been inspired by a certain other NLE.
You can make a timeline filled with clips by selecting a bunch of clips and right-clicking "New Sequence From Clip". I organise my reels/clips into separate Bins so it would be very convenient if I could right-click on the Bin to make a "New Sequence From Bin". It would automatically get the name of the Bin and have all the clips therein in the new Sequence, ordered by filename (number). Right now I have to create an empty Sequence, name it appropriately and drag the desired Bin to that Sequence. Three actions that can be combined into one right-mouse click!
I would love the ability to copy and paste durations.
Sometimes the only way to shake the bugs out is to restart the program, and the only option now is to quit, wait for it to shut down, and then restart, and wait again. I'd like to click "restart" and be able to move to another task while I wait, or go do something away from my computer for a few minutes and come back to a reopened program.
https://www.facebook.com/groups/BCPANY/permalink/3490184714559517/ I was asked post this to the group as a 'feature request' for the PPCC engineers/coders. Back in CS6/7 (pic 1) the Source & Program Monitors had no black spacing around them. If you look at PPCC then (pic 1) vs now (pic 2), more and more black spacing, even with stuff turned off or hidden. Can we get window more like in Avid (3) or DaVinci (4).
The current styles when applied to a track of subtitles will overwrite text alignment, alignment (zones), fonts, emphasis (bold, italics, underline), and all other styles that might have local exceptions, or already be correctly delivered.Example would be an DFXP file like this: https://gist.github.com/pkej/27c400eb985cbba9d66138b63359db40If I create a style where I change the font, the font size and add a semitransparent black background, all the emphasis will be overwritten. If I get a file where the zones are correct (STL only, I think after my testing), and create a style, then it overwrites the zones. Therefore when importing we need to first:1. note which words have emphasis2. note where the text is placed at import3. Apply style (which overwrite the emphasis, zones and alignment)4. Then go and change back all the errors introduced with the template style. The solution would beGranular control of what attributes/parts of the style gets saved when creating it. When creating is param
Please make it possible to register effects as "favorites" by default in the effects control panelEffects Control Panel is where you want to register things you use frequently, like "crop".エフェクトコントロールパネルに、エフェクトを「お気に入り」としてデフォルト登録できるようにしてほしい。エフェクトの「クロップ」のように、頻繁に使うものを登録しておきたい!
Hi. It would be cool if we could right click an effect and have premiere save the current settings as the default one for that specific effect. I know custom presets allow for something similar, but it sounds like a huge pain to do that with every single effect that I want to have slightly different default parameters.
Hi there. Is there a way to adjust the Marker Panel to display the full titles of the markers? As you can see in the image below, even if I toggle the Marker Panel to full screen, it will only display the first 13 letters of each marker's title. It seems like an obvious workaround would be to use shorter titles and put the rest of the information in the comment section, but this project already has a couple hundred markers and it feels like ther should be a way to adjust how this is displayed. Thanks!
PROBLEM:Whenever a user clicks on the "Go to Previous Keyframe" or "Go to Next Keyframe" buttons in the Effect Controls window (ECW) to jump to a keyframe that is outside the visible portion of a clip, the clip that's loaded in the ECW changes if "Selection Follows Playhead" is turned on. Although this might make sense from a programmer's POV, it is NEVER the behaviour an editor wants. EVER! What's the sense of changing the clip that's loaded in the ECW when all a user wants to do is jump to a keyframe on the currently loaded clip??? Having to remember to turn off "Selection Follows Playhead" to avoid this nonsensical behaviour each time is NOT a good option since it results in additional steps for the editor who want to keep it turned on all of the time due to the various benefits it provides. SOLUTION:Thankfully, the solution couldn't be any simpler! When a user clicks on the "Go to Previous/Next Keyframe", the state of the "Selection Follows Playhe
With the current specifications, it is very inefficient because you have to set the export settings again every time. It's a waste of functionality. Instead of linking to sequences or projects, I want you to link to each computer (or user). I want to create more presets and share them with other users.
Currently the only tracking feature is "mask tracking" for opacity. I want you to be able to "animate objects" by associating objects with tracking data, like mocha in After Effects.
I wish I could navigate the timeline without Premiere automatically pausing, causing me to have to push the space bar. This is valuable to me since it is annoying to have to keep pushing the space bar every time I click to navigate the timeline, and having this option would let me increase my productivity.
I guess I'm not sure if this is a bug, or if it's necessary, but it seems like a giant waste of time when I'm exporting 6 seconds in to out for it to go through and render 43 files from the entire 50 minute sequence. I'm on PPro 22.3.1 on macOS 10.15.7.
Adobe Premiere Rush is getting a Pan and Zoom effect for quick and easy pan and zoom options for stills and (we can presume) video as well. There was a time when effects and advancments flowed from Premiere or Rush, but not in this case. While we can manually create pan and zooms in PPro with keyframes a fast and easy automated Pan and Zoom would be great. Both Final Cut Pro X and DaVinci Resolve have this features to Premiere is behind. Most of the development work would be done if this exists in Rush so it should be easy to bring automated Pan and Zoom to Adobe Premiere Pro.
Hi Community, Are you getting unwanted e-mail notifications from the User Voice migration? That can be frustrating. Sorry about that. Here are instructions on how to stop these. Click on your account icon at the upper right corner of the Adobe Support Community page and choose "Account settings." In "Account Settings," click on "Notifications". Make the desired changes and then click "Save". Originally posted by @Warren Heaton10841144 here. Thanks to Warren.
If you put the mouse cursor above the timeline and scroll the mouse wheel, it would scroll through the sequences. Can this feature be disabled?I don't want to scroll through the sequences, but have mistakenly scroll them when trying to scroll the timeline, too many times. Sometimes it takes a few seconds to remember which sequence I was in. This is counter productive.
I have searched for hours, watched several captioning videos for PP, and no where does anyone explain how to make the CEA-708 captions closed. The captions always and only publish as open no matter what I do. Please make it possible for the CEA-708 captions to be closed.Thank you.
macos 12.6.1 PPro 23.1.0Exports with a caption track (subtitles) which also have a caption over a clip that is AE Dynamic Link, and have "burn in captions" turned on for export seem to fail on export.(Update to post below)
Would be nice to have a cursor in metadata fields so I know where I am typing.implementation references: the window I am using now, any other app R.
