Feature Requests

I would like to request the addition of the Variance color tool (currently available in Adobe Camera Raw) to Adobe Premiere Pro. This feature is extremely useful for color harmonization because it can reduce or increase color differences within the same color family. The Variance tool would benefit Premiere Pro users in several important ways: 1. Face Color Tone Balancing -Videos often contain uneven or mixed skin tones due to different lighting conditions. Variance automatically finds the median shade between multiple tones and creates a uniform, natural look. This would save a lot of time compared to manual color correction. 2. Green Screen / Chroma Key Improvement -Green screens usually have multiple shades of green due to shadows, wrinkles, or uneven lighting. With Variance, we could easily balance and unify all green tones into a single consistent shade. This would make keying much cleaner and more accurate, because the background color would remain uniform across the enti
Premiere 25.62. This is somewhere between a bug and a feature request. I often create an audio crossfade on one edit of one channel of audio using a shortcut, then adjust it to the size I want, copy it, and then paste it to a bunch of other channels and edit points (by "trim selecting" them all with command click drag). But - the actual selecting of the crossfade fails much more than it used to. Often, I THINK that I've selected and copied a crossfade, but when I hit paste it pastes a clip that was on the clipboard. The main culprit is the "new" crossfade extension handles, which get in the way of actually clicking on the crossfade, especially if it's a small one (I often use crossfade durations unden 12 frames). In addition, you would expect that if you drag out a crossfade using the extender handles, its end state would be "selected" and you could simply hit copy after sizing it. But extending and selecting appear to be distinct and separate actions. This ad
It would be SO helpful to have a Slip Tool that, rather than being something you have to do with the mouse and have great difficulty being very precise about, instead showed up in a modified Trim Window and let do a Slip with the same tools and same precision and control that we can do trims in the Trim Window.
Please, please, please, please, please can we get this? The capability was there, with Rush, and the mobile to desktop workflow exists, so I'm hopeful this will be rolled out at some point. I understand the desktop version has a million more features that wouldn't work on mobile, but for even just basic cuts and edits this would be INCREDIBLE. As someone who works with a lot of creators, it's not always possible to capture the essence of what they want to portray in their content. It requires their personal touch a lot of the time. Having a truly cross-device, collaborative system where I can hand over a mostly complete project to clients for them to tinker with before completing for them, would be a GAME CHANGER. Not all of my clients have access to or have the knowledge to use Premiere Desktop so the ability to do this on mobile/tablet and send back to me would be great.
I work with a lot of police body cam and/or surveillance camera footage. I often have multiple cams from multiple angles and I'll build a multicam sequence to edit with. Most of those clips have time codes burned into the video. It would be amazing if Premiere could recognize the burned in code and either set the clips to match that time code, or let me create a multicam sequence using burned in time codes.
Hi! When applying a saved Text Animator preset to captions converted to Graphics, it would be extremely helpful to be able to apply the preset to multiple graphic clips at once, instead of dragging it onto each one individually (if this is already a thing PLEASE tell me how to do it lol).I always use it at the beginning of each clip so it would also be great if importing a preset triggered a small pop-up asking which anchor point to use (beginning, middle, or end) when applying it to multiple clips at once. This would save a lot of time when working with large batches of subtitles. Thanks!
Heya, I was just wondering about if there is a possibility for a entry level non subscription purchase of Adobe premier etc. In many cases graduates independently starting out have little to no money and lose momentum when faced with overheads, I was just hoping that maybe Adobe would consider an option for a cheap one off purchase perhaps with no updates and services that a person could purchase and start out with and then with some success develop to the subscription service, I would love more companies to consider this. That's it, best wishes, Stefan, Jersey
Submitting bug reports is way too difficult and time consuming. Why isn't it just added under the Help menu, so that it automatically sends system and version info, etc? Every new version has bugs and it's way too much of a nuisance to stop down from working to submit these bug reports through the website.
It would be useful to do the reverse of the great speech to text/captioning feature. If one could start with a CSV or Excel file that has start and end time column values compatible with Premiere nomenclature (e.g., 00;00;12;24), and a third column with the corresponding verbiage text for each segment, then allow import of that into a sequence in which an artificial voiceover with captioning is created at those in and out points without using a mike. Value: for making a rough script without going through initial voice over creation (with all of its problems, hems and haws, ums, etc.) that can be the stepping stone for a subsequent human-voiceover with a refined script.
Correcting a single misspoken word in recorded dialogue is currently a major workflow disruption in Premiere Pro.Editors are forced to waste time either making complicated manual audio splices or relying on third-party subscription tools that offer this function instantly. This friction is driving creators who produce dialogue-heavy content away from the platform. The Solution: Integrated AI Speech FixAdobe already possesses this core generative capability in Firefly. We need to integrate this technology directly into the Text-Based Editing window. The Proposed Feature:1. Select the incorrect word in the transcript.2. Type the correct word.3. Click 'Fix Speech'. The AI must instantly synthesise and insert the replacement word, matching the speaker's voice on the timeline, resulting in a seamless, clean audio correction. Why This is EssentialThis is a competitive necessity. It saves editors hours of tedious clean-up and removes the primary reason professionals turn to
The Big Problem: Fixing a Single Spoken Word If you've ever recorded dialogue, you know the pain: you mispronounce one word, stammer, or swap "their" for "there." Right now, your options in Premiere Pro are brutal:Stop the session and re-record the whole section.Spend five minutes awkwardly splicing a word from another take.Settle for paying a subscription to another tool (like Descript) that does this instantly. This single missing feature is forcing thousands of professional creators out of Premiere Pro for dialogue-heavy work. The Simple Fix Adobe Needs To BuildAdobe already has the generative AI (Firefly, Enhance Speech). We need to bring it into the Text-Based Editing window. The Feature: Select a word in the transcript, type the correct word, and hit 'Fix Speech'.The AI must then instantly synthesise and insert the correctly pronounced audio using your existing voice sample from the timeline. No re-recording, no messy splicing. Just a clean, seamless fix.Why Adobe Needs Th
Since the latest version of Photoshop, Topaz Gigapixel is available to upscale inside of the app, it would be amazing to have the great slow motion, stabilize and denoise features of the Topaz Video Models inside of Premiere Pro at one point as well instead of always having to render out portions and slowing them down outside of Premiere.
I would really like a way to locate the imported file within my project so I can stay organized. I was hoping this was in beta 26.0.0, but I never did ask.
Hi everyone,I’m a Premiere Pro developer working on custom zoom / framing tools (similar to “Magic Zoom” or the F-window in Sony Vegas), and I’ve hit a limitation that I think many panel developers share. Right now, from a CEP/UXP panel we can: Read and write sequence, clip and effect dataControl keyframes, playhead, etc.Export still frames (e.g. exportFramePNG) and show them in the panel …but we can’t access the Program Monitor image/stream in real time inside the panel. What I’d like to build is something like this: A custom panel with its own interactive viewer (like Vegas’ pan/crop “F” window)The panel viewer is linked live to the Program Monitor / current frameWhen I move handles/points in the panel, it updates: the keyframes on an effect (or Motion)and the preview in real time (not only via slow still export) Right now the only workaround is: Exporting a still frame,Displaying it in the panel,Updating it manually (which is too slow an
Hey Adobe team + fellow editors,I come to you today with a humble request…Please give us infinite label colors. Or at least… more. Many more. Like, “I just discovered the Crayola factory backdoor” levels of more.Look, I’m not asking for much. I just want my timeline to look less like a kindergarten worksheet and more like the dream sequence of a highly caffeinated unicorn. We’ve all been there:You start color-coding responsibly. You hit “Lavender”, “Forest”, “Cerulean” - you’re feeling organized. And then 20 minutes later you’re assigning “Rose” to 17 different asset types because you ran out of colors and now your timeline looks like Strawberry Shortcake exploded. My projects are getting bigger. My clients are getting needier. My sanity is getting patchy. In conclusion:Premiere Pro… let me live my best rainbow-coded life.My timeline shouldn’t look like a coloring book where the last 5 pages ran out of ink.Please.Infinite label colors. For the love of all that is holy and that which is rende
The dropdown menu is complex and disorganized. I can't find the lut's I separated into folders. It would be much smarter and save a lot of time if I could see my lut folders in the dropdown menu and apply them with a single click.I can't tell which one belongs to Canon and which one belongs to Sony. Even though I've organized them into folders, it's combining them all.
One of my top wished-for features is for sequence switching to be made near-instantaneous. I have a keyboard shortcut to toggle sequences and I'm constantly switching back and forth between my selects sequence and my work sequence or my stringouts, and they're often hours long, meaning it takes multiple seconds of waiting for the switch. It really adds up to a sludgy experience over the course of a day. If there's any technical way it can be made instant, by preloading or something, even as an optional setting, that would make my LIFE. I'm told that turning off waveforms and through edits and duplicate frames can make sequences load faster, but I haven't seen that much of a difference, and anyway I do need those things. Being in multicam greatly slows down switching, but I need to be in multicam a lot of the time too, so any solution needs to address that also. Any adobe engineers lurking?
Hi Adobe Team,I’d like to suggest adding a trimming workflow similar to Final Cut Pro, where editors can trim video clips on the timeline without affecting or trimming the music tracks. This makes editing much smoother, especially when working with synced background music.Or if Adobe Premiere already has a feature like this that I’m just missing, I’d really appreciate any guidance on how to use it.Having an option for non-destructive trimming, where the music stays untouched while adjusting video clips would be a huge help for creators and editors.Thank you for considering this!
Is there anyway to hide "Crop"s and "Unnasigned Masks" in the Effects Controls panel? Real estate is at a premium there and it really junks is up and is unneccsary...especially when a crop can be so easily added with the Effects.
I have used Premiere, After Effects, etc. since the original Final Cut was EOL. I still find myself still using Premiere as my daily driver, but need to use Camtasia on occassion. As everything has changed with AI and workflows, I think you are missing out by not having a built in screen recording app within Premiere. As companies choose between the two, the ability to record your screen within the application is important. I hate generation loss, and I love Adobe products. Please consider this could be a deciding factor when companies choose whether to offer Adobe as a solution. Thank you,Todd
When premiere cancels analyzing a warp stabilization for one reason or another, it dispays a blue bar with "Click to begin" (or something like this). If you overlook this, that status message gets rendered out. It has nearly happened to me twice that I put that on air - and I do see that blue bar in news pieces occasionally, so I'm not the only one. If Premiere can't stabilize some footage, I'd expect it to render it unstabilized - not with the notification that it is not stabilized. E.g. like the red bar when you have a script error in After Effects. ENG is a fast business - you don't always have time to review every scene of a news piece. As this happens to others as well, I guess the whole business would profit from only showing the notification while editing.
Hello! I'd just like to offer a suggestion regarding future updates, based on my user experience. I'd like the workspaces to be like those used by DaVinci Resolve. Fixed, not scalable, just visible or invisible, since every resizing of the application window constantly disrupts the workspace. Thanks.
This may only be an issue for me but I'll put it out there.I edit an hour long podcast weekly. I spend a great deal of time removing the comma which is added by the transcription when removing filler words, ums and uhs. I would like to see the option to remove filler only, not remove and replace (with comma).
I’d like to share a feature request regarding the timeline behavior during playback in Adobe Premiere Pro. Currently, when the video is playing, the playhead (timeline cursor) remains locked to the visible area of the timeline. This prevents me from zooming out or navigating to other parts of the timeline while playback continues. As soon as I try to move away or zoom to a different section, the viewport is forced back to the playhead position. In future versions, I would love to see more flexibility:Please allow the video to keep playing while the user freely zooms or scrolls to other areas of the timeline, without the playhead forcibly re-centering the view. This would greatly improve the editing workflow, especially when reviewing one part of a sequence while preparing edits or checking references elsewhere in the timeline. Thank you for continually improving Premiere Pro!
Previously, CEP plugins had a method on the Sequence instance linkSelection() and I'd love to see something like that in UXP. I don't think it necessarily needs to be tied to the sequence selections. Could just accept an array of track items. But either way, it would be great to have.
