The "zoom level control" needs to be a way to disable it. I'm accidentally zooming out on the monitor panel all the time with mouse scrubbing action. It is very annoying! Please, please add a feature to disable it if people don't want to use it and keep it on "Fit" only.
I use a lot of MOGRT Templates with my videos and have a question/request for it. How can you search for certain templates based on the actual file name or at least see the file name, not the description an author uses within Premiere Pro? Background: I use templates from a subscription service so I have little influence on the visible naming of the template. Unfortunately, a lot of designers give their templates very generic names (like transition 1, transition 2, etc) which becomes quickly a problem to identify the template you want, esp if you categorize them in thematic folders as I do. I have like 20 transitions with the name transition 1 or title 1 and the preview is often not sufficient enough. I do however give all the MOGRT files names a unique identifier to keep them apart (sort of like a serial or Licence number) before I install them. Is there any way to include the file name of MOGRT files into the search within the graphic template panel? Or just see the fi
When dragging a video clip on the timeline, it would be incredibly helpful if the Program Monitor displayed a live preview of the frame under the playhead at the current clip position, in real time as I move the clip. Why it's useful:This would allow users to visually align clips with other moments in the timeline more accurately and intuitively, without needing to constantly drop, scrub, or zoom in. It’s beneficial for timing b-roll, syncing actions, or cutting to beats in music. Inspiration:This feature already exists in other NLEs (like Final Cut Pro or DaVinci Resolve), where dragging clips gives visual feedback in the viewer window. It's a huge time-saver and makes precise editing much easier. Optional Settings: A toggle in preferences: "Show preview in Program Monitor while dragging clips" Frame hold or live playback toggle Request Summary:Add a live frame preview in the Program Monitor when a clip is moved in the timeline, allowing precise visual alignment without trial an
Suggesting a new feature called Smart Sequence! Similar to the Smart Bins feature, this Smart Sequence function will create a new sequence, automatically pulling clips into the timeline that meet the criteria defined by the user, similar to Smart Bins or Search Functions. This seqeunce will not be editable, as it is dynamically created based on clip metadata. It will be used as a scrubbable reference for footage, rather than a scrollable list view when using Smart Bins. Once a Smart Sequence is created, there would be an option to convert the Smart Sequence to an Editable Sequence, similar to generating Static / Dynamic Transcripts. This feature will make creating footage stringouts simpiler, as well as automatically updating pre-exisiting stringouts with additionally ingested footage. Because it is a dynamically created sequence, there would be view options to better display media in the Smart Sequence, sorting footage by metadata, ascending o
Premiere Pro is making changes to the workspaces I have to keep changing them back and then hitting the save button, only for it to be changed again..by the software at some future point as I'm working in the project.
Is there a way to disable the dynamic resizing of the panels? Every time I temporarily open and close a new panel, it changes the other panels' sizing. If there were a lock option to make the panels' size fixed, it would be great!
Dear Adobe Premiere Pro Team,I am writing to express my concern regarding the handling of MTS/AVCHD files in Adobe Premiere Pro 2025. While these files worked flawlessly in previous versions such as Premiere Pro 2022, the 2025 release appears to have introduced serious compatibility issues. The main problems that many users, including myself, are experiencing are:No audio playback due to the missing AC-3 (Dolby Digital) codec.Distorted or noisy audio when MTS files are imported.Audio/video sync issues that were not present in earlier versions. In some cases, the files fail to import at all, even though they are industry-standard AVCHD recordings.MTS/AVCHD remains a widely used recording format for professional and semi-professional camcorders. Many editors have extensive archives in this format, and being unable to work with these files in the latest version of Premiere Pro disrupts workflows and forces us to downgrade or use third-party conversion tools. We kindly ask Adobe to:Rest
Request to add "Save New Version" to the save context menu to quickly add a hierarchical number to the current save point. This saves so much time.
Premier really needs to add a few things to level up its performance and avoid breaking the creative flow.1) When running warp stabilize, there are so many ways for the process to be stopped, such as doing a render and replace, that seems to stop any active warp stabilize - I dont normaly do Warp stabilize, but I have a 50 min video recorded with a gimbal that was slighty not as nice as I wanted, and it had some sharp direction changes, so I found a quyick test setting that allowed me to take the sharp gimbal movement I wanted, with only a 5% zoom which was good enough for this project. However there are 104 clips in the 50 min and every one needed this treatment. You cant actualy start them all as this crashes the system I can to do about 3 or 4 at a time and pace myself. When you are running a warp stabilize and render and replace, the warp stabilize stops, no notification it stopped eitherWay in the world can we not have render and replace as a media encoder process
Dear Adobe Team,I would like to share some feedback based on a recurring experience in Adobe Premiere Pro that may be useful for your development team.I often work on long-form videos (over 1 hour) and frequently use many Motion Graphic Templates (.mogrt) to add subtitles and callouts throughout the timeline. Recently, I faced multiple export errors such as:"Error compiling movie""Error in accelerated rendering""Error retrieving frame"The error reports consistently pointed to the original video files (MP4) or even to the H.264 export module as the source of the problem. However, after many hours of troubleshooting, I discovered that the real issue was specifically related to the Motion Graphic Templates placed on the upper video tracks (e.g., V2).Once I removed these graphics temporarily, the project exported smoothly and much faster. This confirmed that the problem was not with the video files themselves, but with the rendering of the MOGRTs.ImpactThis behavior leads editors to spend
Hello,Let's say i have 100 item son my audio track:For example 3 of them on this screenshot.I wish to mute all of them, except few tat I select manuallyI wish I could unmute one of them (or a cut part of one, a subclip), while keeping all others mutewithout having to select them all and delect the one I dont want to mute (if we dont use the button)The green M button would become "fractured" (with a little number?) to indicate how many clips where deessaffected from the button (by the user choice by selecting a clip and selecting dissociate from the mute button or something like that)pressing the mute button again could mute them all.
Hi,in PPRO ui we can select aa media in the list of medias of the project and do a right click to open this menu: It has a clear in and out What I want is a similar button for renaming! Why? because I sometimes rename clips before using them (with code), so when they are inserted they get that new nameProblem is if I stop the code in midd process, I lose the original name, in which case I wish a buton "clear name or clear rename" would exist. That would help a lot in time gain some times.
So apparently the new update has changed the label colors in the timeline, and I do not like them at all. It's supposed to be "easier to see" but it has the complete opposite effect for me. The colors are very dark and have a cheaper feel to them. I know that you can set your label colors to "classic" mode in the settings, which is supposed to be the old look, but it's not the same look at all. I'm currently going to set premiere back to an older version, but I'd love to see a way to go back to the old colors.
now before you turn captions into graphics you are able to join subtitle boxes together for example if the subtitles were "i" "want this" but you instead wanted it to be "i want this" you can click a keybind and BOOM they are joined together would it be possible to have this same feature after they have been converted into graphics? as i do a lot of subtitle work and i find it much easier to do subtiling after they have been converted to graphics (so i can add effects, adjust ect) but the one thing that is much less efficient is being able to join them together
Quite often I've got a long clip which I'd like to chop up into separate bits and then save each as an individual video file which can be dropped in as needed for use as B roll etc in a project. For example, a 2 min vid will be split into 5 vids named something like "Beach day B roll 1 - John waves". then ".....2 - John dives", "...3 - Mary laughing", "...4 - Kids buying icecream" and "...5 - everyone building sandcastle" etc.But whereas some DAWs make it easy to simply select a clip in that sequence and select 'save as new clip', (thus exporting whatever's selected in the timeline), APP wants me to go through about 20 clicks (select in, select out, etc etc etc etc). It's ludicrous. Can't we have a simple 'export higlighted as new clip' option?
Add option to put a strikethrough line through text.Put it next to the other text options buttons.
The transparency grid is a very useful feature but not always needed for video editing. After Effects conveniently offers a switch button in the viewer. It would be nice if Premiere Pro also offers the option to add it as a button below the program/source monitor so we can get to it faster than the menu option. Even the keyboard shortcut is slower because it requires a mouse click first to activate the Program Monitor. That mouse click could already be on that button...
This seems straightforward to implement. I would like to see a tool in Premiere Pro that allows the editor to remove sections of video that are silent in their audio track. We would need to define "silence" (maximum audio level) and Length of slience to remove (longer than X seconds or milliseconds or frames.) For an extra option, perhaps a way to move all the removed video slices to a new timeline or at some timecode on the current timeline. Another option would be to join these new automatically created edits with straight cuts, or with a choice of transitions. Example: I edit lectures. Sometimes the speaker takes a dramatic pause, usually less than a second. Other times, he or she pauses to review their notes. These are often 2 seconds or longer. If I could remove the latter while keeping the former, I could get through that busywork and down to the creative editing work quicker. I usually use crossfade bet
Exports sometimes fail if the number of channels in the volume normalization on the “Effects” tab does not match the number of audio tracks in the SEQUENCE during export. This is a complete conceptual error! Why does the normalization effect NOT follow the number of tracks as defined on the “Audio Export” tab?Imagine a sequence with 16 mono audio tracks (20 + 51 OV, 20 + 51 M&E) from which I only want to export the first two tracks as a stereo audio file:If I want Premiere to check the audio's compliance with EBU R128, I have to set up the export in a very cumbersome way. According to the currently defined workflow, I have to define the volume part for all 16 audio tracks specified in the sequence properties, even though I am only exporting a stereo file. In practical terms, I have to add all these channels just so I can disable them again. Why do I have to do this to export an EBU R128-compliant stereo audio file?
I feel like as one of if not the primary editing software, Adobe should be held to a higher standard. It has been 5 years since I switched to PC and I still mourn the loss of FCPX (there I said it).1) Live Updating Audio Waveforms - Waveforms are so delicate in this program. If you use multicam or nested sequences you really notice this. Premiere is the only place that makes that feel like a big ask.2) No waveform preview while dragging an audio clip - This is basic stuff. 3) No speed ramping audio - My phone does this. Also the speed ramping UI is way overcomplicated.4) I can't nest audio clips - Why is this not possible? Layering audio is one of my main uses for Nested sequences. 5) Reveal in Project does not set the in and out times of the selected clip - I feel like you can see how this is useful. 6) Multicam and Composite View are mutually exclusive. This again just feels like an arbitrary dictation of my workflow. If my computer can handle it, let me do it. 7)
I understand I can create a style that I can then use in my existing project, but I want the ability to set a default font so when I make a new project and start adding text, that it will use the font I want instead of always defaulting to Minion Pro.It will be less tedious to have a default set instead of having to change my font every time I make a project. It would make sense to put this setting into Premiere's settings window, versus the Essential Graphics panel since this would be a global setting independent of a project.
To more quickly add in colour backgrounds behind text. Currently the user needs to use Rectangle which is tricky to scale to fit the video dimensions (e.g. 1920x1080). Something similar to Solids in After Effects or Colour Matte in Premiere.
Beyond just being too much and too many features to click through with Lumetri, it is an annoyance to force onto editors to remove Fast Color Corrector. Can yall just bring back the fast color corrector and stop removing features that seasoned editors prefer. Beyond the confused posts here, and having talked to editing friends who literally share the old "obsolete" effects they have to load every project; many an editor despised this decision. I use lumetri for many things that it's good at. For a fast color correcting it is clunky. The pivots and wheels dont work the same. It's got too much going on for new editors to easily understand and use.Bring back simple features that are good for quick adjustments.
Premiere pro needs a feature to automatically place markers on beats of audio tracks such as 1bar, 1/2 beat, 1/4 beat etc. Elements had this yet now it's gone and is an industry standard technique.
It's necessary to bring back a consistent pixel based workflow even in filter sectiond!I'm tired of using trial and error to find the right percentage so that scaling and cropping hit exactly the desired pixel row or pixel column. In After Effects, you can work correctly in this regard!
