Feature Requests

Coming from Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, one expects to be able to do /2 or +10 or *3 when one is in a numerical field. One can do it in Sequence Settings, but, unless I missed something, not in Effects Controls, where it would be most useful. Thank you in advance!

It would be great to have:  Set To Frame Width Set To Frame Height  The Set to Frame Height would be essential for editing vertical videos. I know Auto-Reframe is the intended solution for that. Auto-reframe is fantastic for specific scenarios.  However, Auto-Reframe has limitations --you can't turn off tracking,  it changes the clip data, etc. It makes it challenging to be consistent when working with multiple clips or making a cut on the same clip.  I'm requesting this again as it's been an ongoing pain point for me and, I'm sure, many others. TIA! 

I have been obsessed with MOGRTs since I have learned about them. I know their main purpose is for small little customizable graphics. However, I have also found them super useful for being able to quickly edit cool layouts and transitions for those layouts without actually need to animate every time. Please view the video below to see what I have made and am referring to: In order to create something like this in Premiere Pro, you need to use 3 MOGRTs back to back. 1 for the transition into this layout, 2 for the layout itself, and 3 for exiting the layout. See below:  If you look at the timeline above, you will see 3 MOGRTs (in pink) and then a camera and screen track for the video. The issue is that I can't just copy/paste the clips from the sequence timeline into the MOGRT. I have to export them to my computer, import them into Premiere Pro, and then place them in the MOGRT. It would be amazing if we could copy/paste from the sequence timeline to save time

I can't find how to reposition (or move playhead to a different part of clip) but wanting the playhead to keep playing without pausing. I move playhead and it pauses.  Could we have this feature?

It's great that the devs do keep adding formats to both 'supported media' and to the 'color managed media' ... there's several new ones in the last couple days alone in the beta builds. But there's no way IN HADES we users can track which build handle what formats/codecs, for either support or color management! We need a permanent, top-level Menu listing,  Supported Formats and Color Managed Media ... that would list all the formats/codecs and color managed ones usable in that build. This would NOT require any real coding, should be easy and quick to do, and ... would be a huge benefit for so many of us users!

When looking at clips in source window, I often use the waveform to find where answers begin in long interviews. Switching between video and waveform is easy when adding shortkey. Even easier would be to have the possibility to overlay the waveform over video.Something like this:

Is there a feature that records individual editing steps when working on a video? The logging can be stored in a flat file for integration, enabling us to interpret the data. This is crucial as multiple users will be editing different videos, and we aim to track the changes made by each user.

The syncing workflow could use a major facelift. Merging Clips is a destructive form of syncing that just doesn't work that well. They also cause many problems in the conform and if sync is off they need to be completely redone, causing headaches and manual replacement throughout the project. Sometimes they bug out when you bring merged clips in fro another project and certain tracks get out of sync.There is also the create multicamera source sequence which doesn't tell you this is the preferred method to sync clips. The negatives are that it is a cumbersome dialogue box with a lot of options that don't really get you what you want without a lot of tweaking.There is also "grouping" clips and "linking" clips. This is a messy naming format because they can mean all the same thing. Perhaps a clear naming convention will help smooth this processThe best option would be to consolidate Merge Clips, Multi Camera Source Sequence and Synchronize into a single panel that we can call the sync pan

When creating a Color Matte all the option should be in one dialog box and not three separate dialog box.

Similar to Davinci Resolve where it has an option to Copy and Trim the original clip without having to transcode, it would be great if this option were in the Project Manager of Premiere Pro because the size of the project would be greatly reduced and the original material would be kept but already trimmed.

Hello, I really love working in Premiere Pro and Mogrts have made my work a bit easier. If there are previews on the Mogrts. Most Mogrts doesn't have previews so you need to drag them on to the project one by on the project to see of they work with the project. This is boring work! None creative work! Please Adobe be quick about building a much smarter and better way to handle Mogrts in Premiere Pro. Especially if you want the younger to enter the world of Premiere Pro. They have Capcut and Canva who has a similar Mogrt systems where you have a great preview directly without even import it first. Learn from them. If you need help building a smarter Mogrt system then, I'd love to be a part of that dev group. BestRaffe Bergwall

Hi,as the title says: I cant cycle through the different LUTs.However, the default LUTs from Adobe cycle through, but NOT my own added LUTs. I added them through this path: Program Files\Adobe\Common\LUTs\TechnicalProgram Files\Adobe\Common\LUTs\CreativeWhen I choose the Adobe preinstalled LUTs, it cycles through till the first user added LUT and jumps to "Search"This wasnt the case with Premiere 2018. Is there a fix?Regards

When saving project I get "unknown error ... "Eventually I found out I ran out of disk space.Can the error message be a little more helpful? 

When creating a multi camera sequence by audio currently, it creates a new video and audio track PER CLIP.   When creating a multicam sequence by timecode metadata, it allows for track assignments by camera label.  Using camera label metadata, the end result is one video and one audio track PER CAMERA.   It would be useful in speeding up workflows to have this camera label functionality work when syncing by audio as well. 

The text based editing with the new Transcript feature is great; however, you are currently only able to edit both the audio and video at the same time. It would be useful to have features for audio only edits, such as "bleeping" curse words, or redacting names. The current work around is to delete without ripple, drag the video clip to re-fill the gap, and manually add a tone if desired.  Please add an option to bleep or remove audio only in the Transcript feature.  An option to gently lower the audio to avoid pops (eg, default fade "constant power" transition of 0.5 seconds) would be nice as well. 

You should add the option to change the bg color in the Program window (like in Photoshop).It's very handy while working with too dark or bright footage, to make shure it's not clipping or having a wrong tint. Often the canvas color matters 🙂

Hi! I'm Marcos, an Adobe user for many years already, and I have a complaint about a change you guys made on the Premiere Pro Transcription Tool. What happens is that the Transcription Tool, a couple weeks ago, was doing just fine. Actually, it was (and still is, even with all the headaches it's been giving me) a very important tool in my editing process. However, about a month ago, or maybe less, Adobe and its Product Managers decided to make a change to the tool that turned it into a real nightmare. The way they changed the transcribing part of it was not bad, but it's been making many more mistakes and the way you get to change the text itself, is just terrible. Not to mention that it's completely buggy. One transcription line for each little clip, even the ones that are from the SAME source, is just a dumb thing to be done. Also, many times it has happened to me that I click a transcription line to edit, I edit what I need, and when I finish editing it just does not compute the cha

Can you create a progress bar for morph cut the way that warp stabilizer has a progress bar?

Hi! I often do jobs when I'm manually lining up two clips from different cameras.  I'm doing the sync by eye, just looking at the waveform (and then I'll take a listen to confirm). So, I zoom in, click on a clip, and nudge it left and right till it looks about right. One slightly annoying thing is that, when the volume of an audio track is low, the waveform is concealed by the "this clip is selected" line. Here's what I mean:If I've inserted those images properly, the first image should show four tracks without a clip having been selected, and the second image should show what happens when you click on a clip: the waveform disappears, hidden by the highlighting, and therefore making it much more difficult to nudge into the right position so that the audio lines up.I don't have a suggestion for the best alternative. I mean, I don't know an alternative way Premiere could indicate that a track is selected that wouldn't cause this issue (maybe change colour?).Just hoping you

Currently, in the adobe premiere Transcript menu, you can detect multiple speakers and rename them But NOT DELETE THEM!!! I DON'T want to name the cameraman and people talking on my documentary film set. I want to see only what Speaker 1 my main interview subject says!! Then I could auto generate captions on a timeline with ONLY the main "Speaker"! This would help so much!! The work arounds arn't worth it. Its too tedious to go into numbers and excel, delete allllll of the speakers you don't want, export, convert and import. I just spent an hour and half on the phone with ADOBE SUPPORT in India trying to do this and they couldn't! They were great but couldn't help. I ended up just using Chat GPT instead lol Thanks for your time your great! I feel like this message was in the style of amanda binds ask ashley series from all that =P

We have television stations that are asking for .mp4 and TS files with embedded captions.  We are able to provide them embedded files in .MXF files, but not the .mp4 or TS files.  Could this be something you look into including in a future Adobe Premiere Pro update?  That would be extremely helpful.  I have seen several other posts about this, so I don't think we would be the only ones who could use this update. Thank you!Angelo

After I sync all the video footage from 2-3 cameras with the audio, and everything is perfectly in sync, sometimes by mistake I move some footage without realising, and the project obviously becomes out of sync. Would be nice to have a feature to memorize all the synced footage, so if someone by mistake moves some shots out of sync, at the end to be able to recall everything in the sync position with 1-2 clicks.  😄 Recall Sync or something like that I would name it. I didn't see this feature on any other video editing apps, so I think it would be something original for Adobe. Hope is not a terrible idea, just crossed my mind. All the best, you're doing an amazing job!
