Hello, I've just joined the community and I've been wondering for the last 5mins if the admins can maybe add a car to the 3D asset, with some simple touches like adding spin animation and some simple spash effects a cool drifting animation can be made...

Hi, im trying nto make simple videos like tis one i attached, but im looking for better camera movements, stager will improve to move and animate cameras or objects like dollys?? just curious about it, it would be great for making more complex videos

I've been using Stager for a few days now and am liking it so far (especially the masked PSD output), but I think the single most important feature that it needs is one that I assumed it had when I subscribed in order to try it - that you can send textures back and forth between it and Substance Painter easily. You can send them *from* Painter to Stager, but not back - but by far, the lack of a refresh button in Stager to update any exported textures from Painter is the biggest problem this program has. I'd also like to see the Load Material Textures in Stager be able to auto-fill the texture slots with textures that share the surface's name (instead of just the first alphabetically-named texture) and for Substance Painter to be able to use the Mercury renderer (in addition to or instead of Iray) to make Painter to Stager workflows as accurate as possible. Thank you for your time.

Hi, are there any people here with experience in exporting Vectorworks to FBX or other extensions for Stager? And do you also have the problem that no lights are exported? regards. The textures are going very well from Vectorworks to Stager.Maybe .ies files importing in light objects in Stager would be very handy? Regards  René

Could we have some of the post effects like we have in Painter? Glare or glow effect would be most welcomed.

This is a serious bug/oversight on Adobe's part for a renderer! Need ACES color management support (see 2nd screenshot), or at the very least post effects tone mapping, & color profiles (see 1st screenshot below), like Substance Painter!This is VITAL. There is not currently any way to acheive parity in how things look between Subsance Painter, and Stager without it. Everything is completely flat and washed out in Stager VS. Painter. Makes using Stager to render absolutely USLESS for anyone that uses ACES, or color profiles and post effects tone mapping in their Susbtance Painter authoring workflow. Please fix this as soon as possible. Thanks.  

I'm doing a turntable in Adobe Substance 3D Stager, which is of a character I designed. 66 / 72 frames done; rendering is nearly complete. However, I needed to start work. To begin where I left off after work, I felt like I was more so estimating than being precise, and I'll need to adjust the animation in Ae, which is fine--just seems unnecessary.A trait that I hope Adobe Substance 3D Stager adopts is a keyframe and timeline. Adobe After Effects and Blender are examples that I think would be really useful in Adobe Substance 3D Stager.

3D Stager doesn't currently support its own native file format (.ssg) within the Assets > Libraries panel, yet supports more generic formats with less functionality. This is crazy! .ssg files natively support all the features within Stager, specifically both Physical lighting (spot, area, point or directional) and materials. Other file formats that the Libraries panel does support (.glb, .obj, usdz, .gltf, .fbx) dont support both, so there is currently no way to create 3D models which support both materials and physical lights that can be saved in the libraries panel. This is a major issue when a scene has been created and an additional model needs to be imported from the library, say a model of a street lamp or desk lamp with both physical lights set-up and surface material patterns built in to the .ssg file. Only way is to laboriously go through File > Import > 3D model - then find the file location. Would be so much more simple to drag and drop the preset from the

The lack of queued is just tragic for me. I'm currently attempting to convert my work flow over to Stager from Boxshot and the lack of a render queue is just a massive block. I do packaging for a living and I often have to render out multiple different SKUs all at the same time. i.e. a bottle of orange flavour, then strawberry flavour, then banana flavour etc. Sometimes there can be dozens of variations. In Boxshot I can queue all these and let them all render overnight. The lack of a queue in Stager means I can no longer do this and so during the day while I am working on other things my computer is constantly being slowed down by Stagers rendering process and I get interrupted in my work every 15 minutes or so to start another render. This is a massive productivity killer. I hope someone at Adobe reads this and makes it a priority to add this feature.

Hello,I have another very interesting idea. In order to improve the timeline in animations, it would be interesting if its duration changed according to the time you give it in the animation settings, in order to be more consistent. I mean, if I indicate an animation duration of 3 or 5 seconds, the timeline would have to readjust to this value, for example.It would be a minor but welcome update 😉.  Enjoy your evening.

Hello, another interesting idea would be to be able to change the location of the automatic backup file. For example, next to the source file, or another location of your choice. For the moment, this is not possible. 

It's all in the title. For the moment there isn't one, but it would be nice to have one in the next update(s).It would be ideal for events such as ... For example product. You can rotate slightly around the object while zooming, with zoom level control and also lateral movements, especially if you want to show several objects side by side.

Would it be possible to implement distributed rendering to Stager to allow multiple PCs to complete a single render.We would like to complete turntable renders for our website but there are concerns over the time taken to achieve the desired quality. The ability to use multiple machines to reduce render times would be hugely beneficial.

Small suggestion: it would be good for future versions to have a timeline at the bottom of the interface during the final rendering in order to be able to regularly preview to see the progress of the rendering in animation. 

Photoshop, when is still had it's flakey 3D system, was able to transfer created 3D objects to and from my Cloud Libraries. (sadly means I have a stack of poseable 3D characters I now can't use in any software, but still waving at me from my library 😞  ) Would be great to be able to move assets in and out of libraries for sharing, group use/editing, iteration... Thoughts?

Since turntable renders may take quite some time, it would be really nice if we can pause this render (if I need to run another GPU-heavy task on the same computer, for example). Is this an option that will be added?

Am I blind ? Is there no way to spin an object in Stager ?I took a cylinder and slimmed it down. ( cylinder object that is inside Stager )I then tried to get it to spin like a coin spinning on a table ( imagine a coin standing up and spinning )there seems NO way to do this at this time ( Stager 2.0 )  Let's hope this ability will be added soon.I've tried doing this now for a good 30 minutes and can't figure out how to do it, so I'm guessing it is not possible at this point.

I know there is orbit and spin animations tools built in but I would love to see keyframes and a timeline built into this program so we could have more ways to animate our models. This would allow to keyfram x,y,z movement for models, cameras, lights, etc... instead of just spinning.Just an idea! 

Just requesting that we be able to place svgs or even ai files directly onto models to keep the resolution of vector lines. The current option of placing images causes mass quality loss when rendering out images.

Stager proves very well for image creation and as an additional tool for photo retouching. One feature that would be great is atmospheric control. Could be fairly simple to adjust haze and glare to allow more light effects. we wanted to make a glowing neon sign for example, but currently you can't get that blurry glow effect. 

When textures are present/applied to the model(s), functionally in Stager really slows down. There should be alternative view ports--like Blender. 3 features--such as "Base Mode" (Hides Textures/Material Settings), "Texture Mode" (Enables Textures), and "Render" Mode. At the moment, Stager feels very "heavy" and I think this would be a great solution. FYI: I work in an assortment of 3D applications and Stager is drastiically slower, which stinks because I would like to use it more often.

Hello, it would be great if stager allowed us to bake out lightmaps that then later can be used in engines, Unity. They have a lot of different uses and currently substance doesn't allow for them in any software. I like how quickly you can import assets from Susbstance Painter, and this could be a quick way of putting assets together and adding in that sweet lighting info

Hello, I'm using Stager to light a scene and I want to place a large area light, to give some extra ambient light. Unfortunately I can't because the exposure is capped at 15. I understand Stager is trying to keep things simple for the user, but if there was a way to unlock it, or activeate advanced settings, closer to what Arnold for example does, that would make it a lot more usefull. A Kelvin value for the lights would be great as well.
