I have a few flash programs I've been playing for years offline. Why on earth would you completely disable Flash so I can no longer play them? Stopping support, I "get". That's fine. So I don't get support for the games I like to play - they won't be changing anyway, there will be no further updates to them. So I won't need support. I'd still like to play the games I've saved for offline play. What sadistic duck decided to completely disable Flash for those of us who would still like to use it even without support?
I am embarrassed to say that I actually have no idea what flash player does. I do know that I am always updating it and it sometimes interferes with other programs and requires som clicking. Now that we've established that I am clueless; how will this change affect my computing experience? My ultimate concern is that I have thousands of family pictures from digital cameras and scanned and phones, Tons of movies and music and lots of important documents in pdf form. Will I lose them? Will this affect them? Thanks for the helpC.
With Flah being EOL, I was wondering if anyone could give some advice on a problem that I have. I have an older application written in ColdFusion 9 that is used in conjunction with a web camera to take pictures to make licensing badges. Since Flash is being blocked we can't make badges; is there another product that I could use or some programming that I could add to get around using Flash?
On 1/12/21, Adobe stopped the flash program that was required for use in another expensive program. I have spoken to a useless chat person and a phone support, Manshi. The chat employee said to install Adobe Dynamic Media Classic, which I did. It did not work with out language program. As this program is very expensive and we are a small charity, replacing the languag program is not an option. How can I get an Adobe replacement that works? Or should I avoid anything in the future that relies on Adobe?,
Hi all! I have a wifi webcam that shows video stream in flash in it's web interface... And im sure there are millions of such cameras all over the world... So what? Now we all can just throw our devices to trash? Is it possible to turn on the FP somehow? or maybe replace it by some other solution? I just cant believe Adobe block everything without any alternative... Millions of websites were using flash not just for fun, flash-movies, flash-games, flash-tutorials and etc etc... millions of home webcams like mine... im shocked.
Hi everyone, Working with a company that thought only the SUPPORT part of Flash was going away as of yesterday, so while they planned to rework old flash files as html5 files, they didn't have it done by yesterday. Now no one can run the courses in the LMS. Can anyone suggest a workaround...anything they can do to access Flash again while they rework the old files as html5 ones? They are freaking out as no one in their very large company is able to take courses. Thanks!
I run a small free games arcade site we have over 40k flash games, we are just one of 100's of similar sites. We have members from all over the world, many are elderly and infirm. Well done Adobe for "killing these sites" in the middle of a world pandemic and lockdown. I have tried everything that has been suggested to keep the site up and running in various ways, yet it has not done any good.. Have you any helpful suggestions please?
Hello to whoever is reading this and I hope you are having a good day. Over the past few months I have been getting a pop up that appears everytime I open and start my laptop (I use Windows 10) and everytime it pops up I usually click "Remind me later". I eventually caved in and clicked "Download". After clicking download nothing happened, no other pop ups or loading bars, and now I am becoming increasingly anxious. I have checked my "Installed Updates" section in my Control Panel (Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features > Installed Updates) and it doesn't seem like any updates occured. The pop up in question looks something like this:In my Control Panel I have "Flash Player (32-bit)" which is set to "Notify me to install updates". NPAPI Plug-in Version is not installed and PPAPI Plug-in version is 32.0.0.114.
I have not encountered this before and thought it might be related to the retirement of flash player for web, though I thought this did not affect the swf format outside of a web browser, only the flash player itself. I exported the swf from Toonboom Harmony (v14) and the lines appear to be jagged on some of the shapes instead of smooth.
I do not use the computer for anything sophesticated. I am an elderly, casual user who needs to replace Adobe Flash Player. Simple and free is better but time is of the essence. I thank you for your help. Jan
We still have a FLEX application which use https://fpdownload.adobe.com/pub/swz/crossdomain.xml ressource ?The application don't work if this ressource is unavailable. If ADOBE stop the access https://fpdownload.adobe.com/pub/swz/crossdomain.xml with FLASH EOL, the application will not work anymore. . Have somebody the answer for avaibility of https://fpdownload.adobe.com/pub/swz/crossdomain.xml after FLASH EOL ?. Have somebody a workaround ? (our dev team try differents options without success)
I want to play jacksmith and I want flash player back and Im really pissed. BRING IT BACK NOW.
It's not Flash going away that is the problem really, it is that lots of content online will be unaccessable if Flash goes away which is not good. Is there some way around this? So content that used Flash in the past can still be accessed in some way?
Re: "Since Adobe will no longer be supporting Flash Player after 31 December 2020 and Adobe will block Flash content from running in Flash Player beginning 12 January 2021, Adobe strongly recommends all users immediately uninstall Flash Player to help protect their systems." What is the exact time (including time zone) that the 12 Jan block applies to? Given it's used internationally, this might be the equivalent of 13th Jan for some time zones or might be evening of the 11th for others.
Hi good morning. Please, can you help me? I am completely confused with flash EOL. As I read, tomorrow flash sites will not work anymore., But how will that happen? Is there any update that will disable it? Or the system will check the date and block? I made a test changing computer date and the application still works. Can you please explain? Thank you.
The flash player install manager stopped at 95% on my Mac and has been like that for a couple of days now. I can't end the installer, I can't even force quit. The installer doesn't allow me to restart or turn off the computer, because it's "still installing". How can I solve this problem? Please help me!
Greetings and salutations. Over the last several decades I've aquired many animations from various artists that all use the .swf format. How am I going to continue to watch and enjoy these now that Flash is dead?
I keep an older computer with CS6, used for some occasional freelance and D&D related projects. I do have a CC account but I would like to keep my CS6 due to the somewhat volitile nature I have experienced with CC. I want to uninstall Flash Player for the stated security reasons, but don't want to lose CS6. Is this a worry I should have?
DO NOT BLOCK FLASH. JUST DON'T UPDATE FLASH AND KEEP THE LAST VERSION OF FLASH ONLINE FOREVER SO PEOPLE CAN STILL ACCESS OLDER GAMES, AND OTHER CONTENT THAT USES FLASH. You don't have to support Flash, but why can't you just not support Flash anymore, but still allow people to download Flash and access Flash content even after janaury 12 2021 forever? But not update it, like now. You no longer support Flash, but people can still access Flash content, and download the last version of Flash forever. Why must you change anything? Just keep Flash online, DO NOT BLOCK IT. What purpose does it serve to block the content? You just have to do extra work to prevent people from accessing Flash. If Flash isn't safe, it's people's choice to use it or not. Some people like Flash games and Flash content. You are removing lots of content online. I like looking at older content online, it's like the internet can be a time machine, you can see what it was actually like in the past when you access older
I just bought my mum a new laptop and whenever she tries to play Slotomania and Heart of Vegas on Facebook they crash and the play screen goes black before it refreshes. It appears to be a problem with flash not working properly. Have tried loading the game on chrome, edge, firefox and opera and keep having the same issue. I’ve enabled Flash in the settings but still cant seem to get it fixed. Have tried installing and uninstalling also. Any advice? Thanks in advance
I want alternative software for adobe flash player. Will Adobe Flash software stop working as i have installed on my hard drive??? Websites and games that need adobe flash will it never work again??? Is there any alternative for adobe flash???
Vriendelijke groeten, Theo Steenhuyzen theo.steenhuyzen@gmail.com Hello, I got a message to remove Adobe Flash Player from my computer since it is no longer supported. I did so with the link in the message. But now when my computer goes into sleep mode, I have a probl
Hi Im an accountant in South Africa our gov revenue collector (SARS) still uses flash. I need it urgently. I accidently uninstalled it after it prompted the message sent to everyone. The support reffered me to this page:https://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player.html?jarvisData=%7B%22versionPath%22%3A%222.27.1%22%2C%22cookieGuid%22%3A%22NA%22%2C%22customData%22%3A%7B%22cookiesEnabled%22%3Atrue%2C%22analyticsServerEnv%22%3A%22%22%7D%7D# It has a link to download flash, but the link only displays the following:"Adobe Flash Player EOL General Information Page"https://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/end-of-life.html Can you please help me to get flash back on my computer? Thanks
Hi There, Is the EOL date for Flash player is 31 December 2020 or has it changed due to Covid-19.
