Create symmetrical "smart" guides. Would be helpful if you can hold option+drag from the ruler to create a "smart" guide (maybe in red) that automatically mirrors from the opposite side as well. I'm constantly having to make sure assets are center-aligned on screen and regular guides aren'’t any help in this scenario. If a mirrored guide line was able to be pulled in from the same distance on both sides that would increase my workflow.
The arrows in Canvas Size provided immediate, intuitive feedback about how the canvas would expand or contract. Their removal reduces usability and slows workflows, as the anchor grid dot alone is less clear. Please restore the arrows or offer them as a toggle option to preserve human-centered design clarity.
When using the Join All Through Edits shortcut different text graphics next to each other join together. I just had to redo the text on about 30 lower thirds because of not noticing this had happened. Update: I just found out it happens with shape layers as well. So it seems to happen with all graphic layer types. I’m on Version 26.2.0 (Build 65)
Long time Media Composer editor here. I've edited tons of TV series. Recently swtiched to Premiere Pro and cannot believe the software won't allow me to see the clip durations on the timeline. It's very important for quickly gauging pace and assessing an edit. This software seems to have so many optinons and bells and whistles, but his BASIC editorial control of seeing the clip duration of each clip on the timeline is essential. Until they have this, it's kind of hard to take this software seriously as an editor. At its core, editorial is about pacing, and this software does not give me the very very very basic tool of seeing my clip durations.
Previously requested but wanted to add a few addendums to this really desired item:Love the increasing native 3D capabilities of After Effects and I really wish the workflow of nesting compositions to build complex animations was reflected in the new Advanced 3D renderer. I would love to be able to select or reference a composition from the project panel to be used as a 3D layer's texture. As an animator / designer for screens for live events, we often use After Effects not only to build out large pieces of content (multiple synchronous 4K+ feeds) but also to previsualize in real-time what our content will look like. This is super helpful because we don't have to round-trip still frames or large renders between AE and another DCC. However, creating these previsualization setups can take a large amount of time, much of which having compositions UV-mapped onto 3D objects would save an immense amount of time. For instance, for a curved screen we often are cutting up a composition into multiple slices and rotating them individually in 3D.
In Element 3d by Video Copilot, there is the option to use comps as materials for 3d models. It would be extremely useful if it were to be possible to set comps/precomps in the same active comp as a 3d model to be the material for that model or a texture for one of the materials in the 3d model.Do you (viewers of this post) think it would be useful/cool?
Licensing stock music in Premiere is a huge pain. You have to do it track by track, and it takes 15 or 20 seconds and clicking through 2 dialog boxes. Not to mention, you can only license it in the project that originally downloaded it. In a shared editing environment like in Productions that’s a nightmare because by the time you lock the cut, 3 editors might have touched the project and now your music cues are spread out across projects and you have to go in to each one piecemeal to license the cues, individually again. It feels like it should take one click, instead it becomes a task that can take half an hour or more.
I wrote a plugin that mimics the layer composition system of Photoshop. It works fine, but has a issue that shouldn’t be one: In a big scene with 544 layers the script handles all of them one by one, so it creates tons of undo steps flooding my memory. After three and more runs Substance Painter is super slow (and I have a very strong computer!).I can’t believe that neither can I limit the undo steps like in every other application I know for decades within the preferences, I also have no Python API access to it to handle it while the script is running (like disabling undo and re-enabling it later, etc).
The world doesn’t need varieties of Acrobat files. What it needs is your software to stop refusing to cut pages, print, edit, or do whatever I click it to do. So you should tooltip all mentions of your varieties of Acrobat files if you are going to make me blind-choose to convert it into some other form that you will let me change. Really you should just let me make changes to anything. I have a signed document with several pages of attachments,, and I want to make a file of the attachments. Can I do it? No, because it is signed.
I want to generate moodboards with this. Im actually trying to build that. Moodboards.ai
Firefly needs upsacale option to evolve the option you like, add details, and even better to make changes on it.So far Firefly has an enormous quantity of distortion just look at the birds below. also poor quality in general. Here is a vs Midjourney vs Firefly, utilizing the same prompt "cabin in the woods surrounded by trees with a creek nearby Make it middle of the summer birds flying high bright ultra realistic 4K"The biggest problem that Dall-e and Midjourney have is the unavility to make changes. I think Upscale and changes would be definitly a game changer for Firefly. I love Adobe, I use several Adobe Apps every single day and I want this to be the company I chooste to create AI images, but you have to run, the race already started long ago.
To be able to send the image to a desired design tool, this would make working with Adobe Firefly more seamless. Or even a step further would be to also integrate this into each tool where can call it up as needed.
Create a new kind of file extension for AI-generated images to reduce the likelihood of facial images in the Internet.
Currently, some options cause an automatic Refresh/Regenerate, such as moving the Strength slider for the reference image or choosing a different style. This causes unexpected additional requests that take up time and compute resources. Please default to only refreshing when the actual button is pressed to avoid delays and wasting resources.
I would love to see vector generation in Firefly. The text-to-image model is already amazing, and I think the ability to generate clean vector graphics via prompt will be an extremely useful tool!
when changing the type from I.E. art to photo, make it so it does not change the results displayed at the moment.
Maybe we cold change the background color and opacity for text effects? What do you guys think?
Hello. In the new Photoshop Beta update, the way OpenEXR files open has changed, and there are now many new options. I noticed a small issue that makes work a bit less convenient. There are still options to open a file “as transparency” or “as alpha channel”, but now when choosing “as alpha channel”, Photoshop automatically adds an alpha mask to the layer. This isn’t always needed, and when loading many layers into a stack, it takes extra time to delete all those masks one by one.It would be really helpful to have an option to open EXR files “as alpha channel” without adding a mask to the layer. Also now it takes much more time to open many filesIt would also be nice to have more control over how layers are opened when loading them into a stack using scripts. Sometimes it needed to open 1 layer “as transparency” and all other “as alpha channel” Thank you
would be great to be able to automatically apply a generated image as background or sky in a picture from lightroom
Adobe Firelfly's text effects are pretty nifty, but they all seem to keep the hard border of the text. I tried to do a smoky text with loose borders, for instance, but there was still a hard black line where the text ended. It was like the text was written in black with smoke superimposed over it (which is actually probably all it is), occasionally extending beyond the borders. I would like for that hard border to be completely absent and only have the edge of the text defined by the effect itself, if that makes sense, making the text look like it was made of smoke rather than text with smoke in it.
