Illustrator on the iPad

I have 2 illustrator files (lets say version 1 and version 2). If I have 10 layers on version 2 that I want to send/add to version 1, is this possible (without copy/pasting in place each individual layer?)   {Renamed by MOD}

Hello community, I am relatively new to Adobe Illustrator. I have used it a bit on my MacBook Pro and am now starting to use it on my iPad Pro Version 14.2. I am experiencing a lag when I use the paintbrush tool on my iPad that I don't experience on my laptop. It won't let me start making a new mark until the last one has smoothed out, and sometimes the previous mark vanishes for a second and then returns. This happens when I use both the Apple Pencil and my finger, so I'm thinking it's an issue with Illustrator and not the pencil.  If anybody has any insight on how to fix this, I'd very much so appreicate it! This lag is making the creating process rather jarring and it's hard to maintain a flow of any sort. Thanks!

I an unable to move files out of a folder and into another one.   I can select and drag a file INTO a folder, but once it's in a folder, selecting and dragging it to try to move it OUT of the folder/into a different folder doesn't work (it highlights and moves around, but doesn't interact with the file tree).   There is also no option to move a file in any of the three-dot menus associated with a file.   Again, this is new since the most recent update, and it's INCREDIBLY frustrating.   Help?

Hi Hannah a I'm dealing with the same thing? Can you explain? So I'm taking a procreate png and the clients wants an AI. File. when I upload the ong there is a white background / also when I export as the AI I can see the white still.. am I missing something? 

I don't know how to set tabs in Word. Havent used In-Design (mistake) so Im using Illatrator (which I know to do resume. Can you link pages like work and text so they spill over and make a new page? Im having to make each separate and storing them...thinking Im going to convert to PDF, but its becoming a lot of pages. having text flow to a new page would help.

Hey all. Is there a way to center the mirror repeat line so that it's in the exact middle of canvas or snap it to the grid? I can't figure out a way to get it to snap to the grid or the center of the canvas.

I can convert the text to outlines, but that means the text can no longer be edited and that is not a good option. I can not center text or align it with another object without the extra space being taken into account. In Affinity, this is stupidly simple. Can someone point me in the right direction?

I have just bought new air ipad and watched a video showing it is possibe to import new brushes - but cannot see the three dots or + sign where they can be added. Any advice appreciated

How can I get rid of the artboard names/nubers showing up.  When I open the file on the desktop version they do not show, when I open it on the ipad they appear.  Not a stopper but sort of a distraction and seems like a possible bug.   

Help...how to choose an Artboard accordingly. To create an Artboard ....which one I need to choose from.,. Print , Screen or Illustration. I'm creating a business card. There's no tutorial on how to choose. 

Whenever i start working with the paintbrush tool, it will work for 1-2 minutes and then it will stop responding. Ill tap everywhere on my app and nothing happens, so i have to force close out and when i re-open it, it doesnt even save what I last did. I have an IPAD 10 (2021 model) and latest Illustator version 1.3.4

I don't know if any guys can help me I am disabled and use mainly illustrator on my i Mac but, received messages on my iMac saying that my software was not genuine, Adobe promised I could have new software at a discounted price for life I am now left with firstly an increase double the amountI was originally promised. I also bought new iPad.

 Can anyone help me. Don't know when this tool became available but noticed it when after I made this swoosh tail. I think it could be useful but not sure how it works or where to look for info to learn.

Hi - my illustrator on iPad is not updating to the new version released at max. It simply says 'open' in the App Store, and through the creative cloud app on iPad, the download button is greyed out. Do I need to delete the old version of the app?

Has anyone found a way to work around the smooth tool not working? It constantly crashes my app and I'm DESPERATE at this point. Any idea if they might fix this?

Whenever I go to export, there's a transparent border, on the left of the file. I've made sure there are no decimals on the dimensions of the Artboard, and I've tried speading the background OVER the edge of the artboard, and exactly on the edge of the artboard. Still end up with this annoying border to the left, after export.
