Hello everybody, is there any way to change the reference point in iPad illustrator iOS 15 when you mirroring objects?

My illustrator for iPad freezes after about 6 moves.  I see that many people are experiencing this, but I'm not seeing any solutions.  Am I missing it?  Not able to complete my work on time is NOT GOOD FOR BUDINESS!!!!  Adobe people pleeeeze tell me how to fix this problem!!! I'm in deep foo foo over here!

Hi everyone,I am trying to figure out why my shapes (any shape at all) won't align specifically to the darker grey vertical lines on the grid. As you can see in the picture the purple alignment lines (which I use as a guide to make sure all of my objects are aligned in the center) seem to never be on the dark grey vertical grid line instead the shape aligns off one of the lighter grey grid lines.I don't quite understand the point of having a grid if I cant align my shapes to the more obvious darker lines? Is there some way that I can make this easier.When I click the "center" button (the second button of six) under Align it does the same thing.Really appreciate your help with this! Adobe Illustrator 2021 is brand new to me as of today and I've got it performing in my Ipad Air 3rd generation.  I've drawn a Fresco profile which is the shape of an arch.  And is basically a portion of another piece of work accomplished in PS Elements.  From there and after flattening the layers, I made it my cover in Facebook.  I've decided now the arch would be more appealing if it appeared to be three dimensional.  I'm hopeful Adobe Illustrator will help switch the 2D arch into 3D, and then I'll move it over into PS Elements and repeat some techniques to set it up for Facebook.  What I'd like to know is this do-able using my Ipad.  I'm having difficulty in Illustrator determining how to go about finding the 'effects' in the line up of tool options.  Under the effects I understand revolve and extrude are possibly.  How does one get to effects using Ipad?

Hello. For some reason when I'm exporting my artwork from Illustrator it is not remaining centered. I'm not sure how to fix. I went in and made sure everything was centered, but when I open exported the PNG to post/ use, everything is off center to the lower left corner. Can anyone offer some advice? I'm relatively new to Ai and am only using it on iPad right now. Thanks!

Why can't I install Illustrator or Photoshop on an iPad Air or iPad Air2.  My iPad Air2 meets all the requirements.   But it says "this device is not compatible with our app."   Yet on the list of compatible devices, we see the old versions of iPad Pro are much older than an iPad Air 2.  What's so [removed special about an iPad Air 1 &  2 that it can't install these apps?

Hey All,  I've recently switched from Affinity Designer over to Illustrator for work purposes, and so far loving it... except it doesn't seem like you are able to pan or track when using the Magic Keyboard?I can select, and zoom with the trackpad but I'm unable to move around unless I touch the screen. Is this a bug with an update? It makes my workflow completely broken, and especially when coming from Affinity where it works perfectly when in "laptop mode" (aka how I do 90% of my work that isn't painted illustration) is an unfortunate deal breaker so I'm super hoping I'm just missing a setting somewhere.

Can we change document (or artboard size) in illustrator for ipad like we can on desktop? If so.. How? If not...do you know if there are plans.. thanks!

I have been using Draw for a while. I bought Illustrator for iPad Pro today. Trying to transfer from a Draw to Illustrator without pixilating.  No luck.   Everywhere says 1. Open Illustrator. 2. Open File > Place.   When I open Illustrator, all I get is icons and art board. I cannot change this and I cannot find File > Place anywhere.  Hours looking for the answer. Export vectors from Fresco to Ai on iPad? Vector brush used in fresco .  I want to keep drawing as vectors not rasterized file with pixels. Does work in fresco using vector brushes stay as vectors when file saved or exported and what kind of file ?     {Renamed by MOD}

How to  insert link in the text (Photoshop). I need to insert a link in the letter or text or image. 

May I know if it is possible to create a rectangle/square/circle just by keying in the dimensions? Right now, the only way (as far as I know!) is to click and drag on the screen and keep track of the Width/Height dialogue box.

Hello, I am completely new to Illustrator although I have experience with Autocad and also Procreate. I would like to learn how to use Illustrator on the iPad, without having to learn it first on a desktop. Can anyone recommend resources or the best way to do it? I have been using a free trial of Adobe illustrator for a few months. I opened the app today and it asked me to login and to select a plan to be able to continue using the app. I selected a plan and now all my project are gone. How can I get my projects back?

In Illustrator for the desktop you can create a layer and set the layer opacity to 50% and then draw on the layer and all objects draw will be drawn at 50% opacity.  On Illustrator for iPad you cannot set the opacity on a layer that has no objects in the layer.  You can only set the opacity on the layer when an object exists on the layer.  Additionally, even if you reduce the transparency in the layer, any objects drawn on the layer are drawn at 100% opacity.  Why doesn't the iPad version match the features in the desktop version when it comes to opacity?

I'm new to illustrator on the iPad and have what might be a dumb question. I am using the pen tool and creating part of my logo. I want to deselect and start on the next part of the logo but can't figure out how to quickly do so. It keeps trying to connect to the last path point. Please help, thanks!

Hi,I'm working on a brand new 2021 iPad with Illustrator 1.3.2 (latest version at 29/7/21), and I have an essential file that I use that has templates for clothing pattern making. The size is 5.1mb and I open it from Adobe Cloud, but I have it set to "always available offline". It's mostly just pen tool lines and text, but 14 artboards of it, as it is a variation of 14 sizes of clothing. I am trying to open it to simply copy the outline of one size only and transfer to a new document, but firstly the document takes ages to load and is very slow once opened, then when I highlight the content of the art board that I want to copy, the app completely freezes and no matter how long I leave it I have to quit the app.  I had a read through community posts and saw that some users had experienced Illustrator crashing on previous versions, so I tried deleting it from my home screen and re-installing, but that didn't help.  Any suggestions on what is happening here or how

I just spent 4 hours vectorizing a drawing and now it's stuck on the crossed out eyeball. I can't get the art everytime I click eyeball the whole app freezes! Waste of half my day!!!

I am trying to log in to illustrator on IPad but keep receiving a check your connection message. Nothing at all wrong with my connection and I have tried all fixes I can see. Any ideas. And why is the support function so infuriating on the website???

Hello,Since I have Illustrator on my Ipad pro, I can't use some .eps files that I use from my Freepik account. Some of them can be used, others not. It's random and it's really frustrating. Also, I have a lot of trouble working with some heavy .eps files. It lags a lot. I often have to close Illustrator because it crashes because of these files.
