Hello all! Excuse my ignorance, I'm not an artist or graphic designer 😞 I just want to know how to send my vectorized images to my laser cutter without the box aka the artboard around it. There are no tutorials for this for the ipad version yet. Thanks in advance!
I use illustrator primarily to make repeat patterns. I know the Illustrator app on the iPad has a pattern tool to help make patterns, but I want to create more detailed patterns so I wanted to use traditional techniques to make repeat patterns. On the desktop version, I was able to easily do that by using the move tool to tell an object to move a certain distance so all objects that hang over the edge will be repeated on the other side of the art board. With the app, I thought I was going to be able to use the transform tool, however, as seen in the picture, I moved the object to the corner and instead of reading 0,0 as it did when I first created an object it reads -210,-294. My art board is 1000 x 1000 px so ideally I would need to move the object 1000 px to the right. My though is the transform tool measures how far you moved the object and not where your object is on the art board. Is there anything in the app that is like the move tool on the desktop version?
I'm new to Illustrator, but generally pretty quick to learn new programs. I've been playing around with Illustrator on my iPad, but am finding there are a LOT of things that are available on desktop version that aren't on the iPad. One example is to 'draw inside'... I've watched videos on how to do it, but cannot for the life of me figure it out on the iPad. I'm hoping that in time, more tutorials will come out since it's brand new, but man am I getting frustrated. Are there fewer features, or am I just not finding them?
Hello Adobe community! I am now learning how to work in Illustrator for IPad but cannot find a crop tool for imported images. How can I crop an image? ON IPAD ILUSTRATOR thank you in advance {Renamed by MOD}
I'm trying to open an Illustrator file (.AI) that I created on my desktop version within Illustrator for iPad. I have tried using CreativeCloud sharing as well as opening from Google Drive and Dropbox. The files appear in the file browser, but they're grayed out and won't open. Is there something I'm doing wrong? All of the documentation seems to indicate that this should work, but I have yet to get it to function.
Hi,I'm trying to use the Ai for iPad to create strokes that I can then better manipulate on the desktop version. But upon exporting the iPad Ai to the desktop my blob brush lines are now expanding shapes instead of strokes. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
How do I move the anchor point for a layer {Renamed by MOD}
I want to draw a few short parallel curved line segments in Illustrator for the iPad.After I draw the first short line segment the anchor points are still active. If I begin a new segment too close to the start of the first segment the first segment jumps over to join the new line.I turned off the "snap" preference but this effect still occurs. Do I need to deselect each individual line segment before I can start to draw a new one nearby?
Hi My Adobe cloud files didn't sync with my ipad version. Do you have suggestions on how to sync it? I want all my cloud files to show on my iPad as well. Thank you {Renamed by MOD}
Hi. I'm thinking of completely switching over from my Macbook to my Ipad. Now the thing is that I really need Illustrator. Mostly I use Illustrator for vector files. Now I was wondering if it is possible to use vector (eps) files on Illustrator on the Ipad. Does anyone know about this? Thank you in advance, Elliott {Renamed by MOD}

I have a question can you vectorize drawling on the iPad Pro for the new adobe Illustrate app?
I'd love to be able to warp a shape in Illustrator (on the iPad).For example, it wold be great to draw petals of a flower individually, warp each a little like they do in real life, maybe fold them over, then assemble into a flowerI think the multiple-gradient option might look more natural and 3d if done this wayIf the shape has grouped lines, like veins in a leaf, these would probably look more natural if drawn first then warped.
Is there a way to install the brushes onto the illustration ipad app?Thanks!
Love working with the iPad version of Illustrator so far. I am just curious is there a way to convert an outline to a fill object yet on the iPad version of Illustrator? Would really be beneficial to have this feature if it is not yet available.
Muy lenta y pesada la aplicación en ipad pro... El resto de las aplicaciones como Fresco, Ps, etc. corren perfecto. Espero lo puedan solucionar.
