How do I move the anchor point for a layer {Renamed by MOD}
I want to draw a few short parallel curved line segments in Illustrator for the iPad.After I draw the first short line segment the anchor points are still active. If I begin a new segment too close to the start of the first segment the first segment jumps over to join the new line.I turned off the "snap" preference but this effect still occurs. Do I need to deselect each individual line segment before I can start to draw a new one nearby?

Hi. I'm thinking of completely switching over from my Macbook to my Ipad. Now the thing is that I really need Illustrator. Mostly I use Illustrator for vector files. Now I was wondering if it is possible to use vector (eps) files on Illustrator on the Ipad. Does anyone know about this? Thank you in advance, Elliott {Renamed by MOD}

Touch gestures can not only help in saving precious time and improve productivity while you work on your project, but it also makes the creative experience really intuitive. Here are the top five touch gestures available in Illustrator on the iPad: Illustration Gesture Action 2-finger tap Undo – Utilizing the touch interface of the iPad, the simplest touch gesture like a 2-finger tap on the screen is used to perform basic but essential action, undo a step. 3-finger tap Redo – Similar to Undo, a 3-finger tap on the screen can redo the undone step. Double-tap on a selected object Edit points – Simply double-tap on any selected object to edit the points. Drag to scrub values in fields Scrub – Changing the values in any field made easy, simply click on the field and drag to scrub the values both ways. Do the Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop apps work on iPad 8 (10.2 in.)? Not referring to the iPad pro or mini or air...just the iPad 10.2-inch - 8th generation. Thank you.
AI on iPad: I would like to increase the raster effects setting of my document from 72 ppi to 300 ppi. Is there a way to do this? Thanks!
I have a question can you vectorize drawling on the iPad Pro for the new adobe Illustrate app?
I'd love to be able to warp a shape in Illustrator (on the iPad).For example, it wold be great to draw petals of a flower individually, warp each a little like they do in real life, maybe fold them over, then assemble into a flowerI think the multiple-gradient option might look more natural and 3d if done this wayIf the shape has grouped lines, like veins in a leaf, these would probably look more natural if drawn first then warped.
Is there a way to install the brushes onto the illustration ipad app?Thanks!
Love working with the iPad version of Illustrator so far. I am just curious is there a way to convert an outline to a fill object yet on the iPad version of Illustrator? Would really be beneficial to have this feature if it is not yet available.
Muy lenta y pesada la aplicación en ipad pro... El resto de las aplicaciones como Fresco, Ps, etc. corren perfecto. Espero lo puedan solucionar.
I may be missing something but can't seem to figure out how to type text without having a keyboard attached. Is there a way?
Is there a way to show rulers? Thanks!
How to draw a star (other polygonal) shapes with more anchor points than with thouse intitially assinged to standard shapes
I create designs for wall decals and laser cutting. When I'm creating designs using typography, sometimes I need to add a stroke to the fonts to make them more bold and suitable for cutting. In Illustrator software, typically I can:Outline TextObject - ExpandMergeTo merge the stroke with the font. In the Illustrator app for iPad, I can put a stroke around text, then Intersect, then Covert to Path... but it still shows my outline and does not merge the stroke with the font to make it a solid, bolder font. I've tried different routes, but cannot seem to figure out the equivalent of Object> Expand > Merge in the app. Help?!
Hi guys!I made an icon and converted it to radial to have a play with the design. Now I can't get the radial selection removed and I want to be able to use it as an original icon and able to rotate it. (Attached screenshot of what it's doing, I just want it back to the basic select outline). Serious newbie here, I don't know all the terms I should be using, please be gentle! 🙂Thanks in advance 🙂
Locating glyphs in iPad Pro illustrator?
Was watching Adobe Max on demand about the new AI on iPad, and the guy showed that you can draw a (curve) path with the pencil tool, and then drag a text to that path so the text will live on the (curve) path. It doesn't work! Nothing happens when I drag my text to the path (see attached image). Any ideas why?
Hi I am very new to illustrator and am using the new iPad version. I am tracing a drawing using the pen tool. However I can't seem to work out how to close or stop a line and then move to a different section without it creating a line between my last point and my new one. Does that make sense? How do I deselect or move away to work on a new area?I have tried clicking out and then back into the pen tool but that reshows/highlights my previous lines to start from there again.thanksRachel
Illustrator on iPad. Can't believe this is so difficult but even google not coming up with an answer. How do I fill an area? There's no paint bucket and the gestures that work on other adobe apps do nothing on illustrator. Many thanks.
