Hello! I'm having a problem with cross reference for Thai language and found out that this is involve world-ready single line composer. As for Thai language, I need to change paragraph to world-ready single line composer and checking on the x-ref in the indesign, it's green and clickableHowever, when export to pdf it's not clickable (page number might be disappear but this is fix on 2023 version)Comparing the pdf of world-ready single line composer (vowel in the correct position but not clickable)  single line composer (all vowel overlapped but clickable) Any ideas? please help thank you in advance.

Hey!I still wonder why InDesign hasnt learned it yet, or am I doing something wrong:I have place a picture from a multipage pdf-file onto page 1 in InD, many times.On page 2 I want to use a different page of my pdf. When I select X frames, and relink to the pdf unsing the import options to select a different page, the import-dialog gets shown a X times. How can I avoid this? It has to be possible to relink many pictureframes to a new source at once, right?How do I link these 12 pages to a different page, with one import-dialog?  

 Can multiple pictures be suitable for the type area, Automatic equivalence? Like like below.It is to choose the picture above, and automatically arrange the three columns of the same size and the same distance.I think this feature should be merged here.One is a distance distribution picture. Hallo, vielen Dank im Voraus für die Zeit die Sie investieren dieses Problem zu lösen! Ich erstelle eine Datei in InDesign und lege immer ein Ordner an für die Links-Bilder und Grafiken. Irgenwann kann ich auf manche Bilder nicht mehr zugreifen. Er meldet sich dann und sagt das mir die Zugriffsrechten fehlen. Kurz davor war noch kein Problem. Jetzt habe ich sogar ein Problem mit Exportieren. Einige Seiten von mein Datei bleiben bei JPG Export komplett weiß. Kein Text, keine Bilder. Nichts. Habe InDesign neue Installiert. Kein Erfolg. Die Datei rausgeholt auf eine Seite. Nichts. Und das obwohl einige Zeit zuvor diese Dateien ohne Probleme Exportiert geworden sind. Jetzt muss ich Änderungen machen und lässt er einfach einige Seiten komplett leer. Ich habe schon so viel an Lösungen probiert aber nichts hilft. Bilder auf Desktop legen auch nicht. Ich habe das Bild wo es problemen mit gibt anders abgespeichert, aber er Fügt es schon mal gar nicht ein. Wegen... keine Zugr

My printer is requiring a full bleed on a book--including on the inside/gutter. I have a graphic that needs to go from outside bleed to inside bleed. However, the bleed area shows on the facing page. When I create a PDF it still shows up on the facing page. See attached. How do I make this so the bleed doesn't print on the facing page? I've tried switching off Facing Pages, but then it throws off page elements and I'd have to go through and adjust items on hundreds of pages. Surely I'm not the only one to have encountered this problem. Merrill

hello everyone, I have a problem in creating a form with indesign: I can create and order the text fields to be edited in the .pdf file, I can change font and size of the boxes BUT I CANNOT FORMAT THE RIGHT FLAG TEXT: in fact I have to create a form to enter prices and the numbers have to be pasted on the right! can someone help me? thank you very much!

I have numbered section headings and I want to create a tab space between the number and the start of the text. So I have gone into the para style tab button and set a tab at 5mm. However, if I then go back to the text and enter a tab character, the distance is 25mm. Is there some minimum tab setting that I have to change or am I doing it all wrong?

Hi, I'm getting this query from the printer: "sum of ink exceeding maximum value of standard ISO 320% (350% in special conditions). Printing with supplied artwork may cause an problem with stability of colours on the printout or/and can cause sheets to stick together in stock. In current case sum of ink equals 355 %."   Does anyone know how export the image from photoshop, or what settings of InDesign I can change to avoid this?   Thanks!

I found another problem that can be improved.How to make the object quickly align to the reference line?It can only be manually aligned. This is too low, unscientific, and not advanced.Add a condition, press CTRL to select the object and reference line at the same time, and then align with the reference line.Hope adobe can see this.

Hi! I'm a treatment designer and, when I make a presentation, some images are animated GIFS. I normally use the command Publish and share the presentation with my clients, but I would like to put some of those pages up on my website, to show my portfolio. The problem is that I can't figure out how I could export the pages as independent animated gifs so that I can put those images up on the website. There are a few download buttons connected to a web link that work perfectly on Safari Browser but on Google Chrome instead of downloading an empty 'about:blank' page appears. Hi guys, have a look at the PDF attached. At the bottom is a button "add page" and "delete current page".How was this function created? Adding page is duplicating page 2 as often as wanted, and adds the correct page number too (with flaws sometime).Is it possible to create an interactive PDF like this from InDesign??? 🧐TIA! Andrea

How can I change a frame of an object from square to round?

Hello!For some this may sound a weird approach, but for me this is serious. All Adobe apps or most of them are connected to the cloud. ID to an extent that is annoyingly high. CC Libraries, for example. I don't need CC libraries, I don't need cloud sync, I don't need constant updates. The cloud services and clients running in the background only take RAM and CPU, slowing down the system and ID.In order for ID to run cleanly without them I have RARed all *.exe files related to the cloud client and cloud experience and deleted the actual exes, which works fine until you simply press Ctrl+n. ID would then not even open the New Document dialog. Doh!My goal or question is: can I somehow completely disconnect ID from the cloud software and if not, what of the many unnecessary cloud related exe files do I have leave as is for ID to be able to create a new document? At the moment I had to start and repair the cloud client to again be able to do Ctrl+n.

It also makes other graphics that I move it over disappear.If I zoom in/out graphics appear/disappearI am also experiencing issues with the scrub bar in Premiere when it won't display 'live' when I move the bar. The IT department are unsure whether it is hardware/software/network issues. They have moved me from an iMac onto a Dell XPS, which they thought was fit-for-purpose. Never had these issues with the iMac. Does anyone else have these graphics problems?

I inherited an Indesign document with facing page layout and only one parent page A.  The page numbers are centered at the bottom of the page.  The client now wants the page numbers located on the left and right hand corners of the page. How to I get to this without wrecking the layout? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Regards, Mike

Sur Mac, il faut, pour la liste Excel à utiliser sur Indesign comme source de données :- Aucune entête de colonne ne doit être vide- Intituler la colonne, précéder le nom ex. « drapeaux » de ‘@ (apostrophe + arobase)- Se positionner sur le nom du drapeau choisi (dans son dossier), option+command+C puis coller dans la cellule Excel voulue- Toujours pour une utilisation sur Mac, dans le tableau Excel, faire « rechercher » les « / »  puis le remplacer par « : » partout-  Enregistrer le fichier Excel en « texte (séparateur : tabulation) (.txt)- Sélectionner sur Indesign cette source de données en .txt Aucun souci pour les textes, mais les images ne viennent jamais.Quelque chose est-il mal paramètré sur Mac ou sur Indesign ?Toujours le même message :La source de données renvoie à une ou plusieurs images manquantes.Les images manquantes ne peuvent être ni pré visualisées ni fusionnées.Au moment de créer un document fusionné, vo

I have a MacBook Pro and I've been tasked with created an event program that needs to be printed on 8.5 x 11 then folded and stapled. When I use 2-up saddle stitch, it just prints it flat. This is becoming very frustrating because I can print, fold, & staple our newsletter on 11x17 paper, but I can't do this. I've tried exportng it ot PDF and printing, folding, and stapling and that doesn't work either. Help!

The text validation process failed due to character encoding issues. Specifically, when a character is represented by 3 to 4 characters, it should be converted to a single character. During the web PDF processing, there were no errors or font issues. During the accessibility processing, the Myanmar (Burmese) characters were not being interpreted correctly, which led to an error message (please refer to the screenshot). We are using the Padauk and Myanmar fonts and trying to display Burmese characters, but it's not working. We have been attempting this for over three months, but the characters are not clear. Please provide some suggestions to help us resolve this issue.

In the same way that the Alignment setting for paragraphs can be "Left Justify" vs. "Full Justify", is there a way to set a text frame's vertical alignment to do something like "Top Justify", so that frames that have content flowing to the next threaded frame are justified but the last frame in the story is not? I use object styles for text frames in various repeating projects (e.g. a quarterly newsletter) that have threaded stories that should normally justify to the top and bottom of the frame, and I get tired of changing the last frame to Top and also making sure no others are accidentally still set to Top from previous content that might have filled a different number of frames. Here's a simple example of what I mean:On the left, both frames are align=justify, but the on right, the second frame is align=top. I would prefer not to have to do that manually all the time.

I am wondering if you are able to have an object be allowed to export (say to a jpeg), but not print from InDesign itself. We use InDesign to create customer proof sheets. We need to show the background layer when we export the file to a jpeg, which we then email to the customer. We then print a copy for our records. Since the background prints gray, we'd prefer not to waste toner. Removing the backgound is not an option as it shows their artwork against the actual background of the final product. If I use the nonprinting option, the background won't print as expected, but it also will not export. Is there a way to set the background to export, but not print natively? I have to manually delete the background each time before print, after exporting. This is time consuming, considering we do thousands of these proofs. Any advice? Thank you in advance.

Hi,I have some troubles to print a PostScript file with InDesign CC 2017.When I open the print menu, I choose "PostScript®" printer, the PPD is Device-independentbut I cannot change the Format…So, when put my PS file in Distiller, my PDF file is completely cropped up… What can I do?
