I know others have addressed this issue, but nothing I have tried has worked so far...and many of the posts on this issue are on older versions of software, etc. Here's the issue - trying to print to Epson Stylus Photo 1400 from Lightroom Classic (Ver 12.3). Running Epson driver version 10.85. Using MacBook Pro 16 inch, running Ventura 13.3.1(a). Each time I try to print, I get the "Filter Failed" error message. I have resintalled the drivers multiple times, reset the printer settings in my System Preferences. Any ideas?
Hey everybody, Here is a video walkthrough of the issue below. When I send two photos as layers to Photoshop, one of the photos will lose all of its settings in Lightroom. No more ratings, no more exposure settings, no more masks, nothing. This has been happening for the last week. What gives? You cannot file a bug report for a version of Lightroom (14.5.1) that is not supported on MacOS 26.0.1.]
Lightroom Classsic is running so slowly that its taking all the fun out of editing pictures. Click.....wait.......and finally the new tool will be loaded. I feel like I've tried everything recommended and I have a machine that should be more than capable. My computer is a i7 @ 2.9 GHs with 32 GB RAM running on a SSD primary drive. I have a 6 GB Nvidia video card. I've followed the advice on the Adobe site for optimizing, but nothing seems to help. Anyone have a checklist or something like that to help me troubleshoot?
I’m trying to change the UserComment field in the EXIF metadata for Nikon RAW (.NEF) files. In Lightroom Classic (latest version, macOS), I can edit the value in the right-hand metadata panel — it appears to change in the catalog — but it never actually writes to the file itself.Even after choosing Metadata > Save Metadata to File, nothing changes in the RAW or XMP sidecar. If I inspect the file with ExifTool or another metadata viewer, the UserComment field remains unchanged. From what I can tell, LRC treats UserComment as a read-only camera field and doesn’t include it in its metadata sync/export set. That makes my edits effectively meaningless outside the catalog — even exports omit it.Has anyone found a reliable way to make Lightroom actually write to the EXIF UserComment field (or a supported field that persists in exports)?I’ve already tried: Editing directly in the metadata panel“Save Metadata to File”Re-importing after savingChecking for changes with ExifTool No luck
I have not new but good RTX 2080ti card, and it's always a question how this or that thing depends on GPU.My camera gives about 50Mp photos, and with "heavy" Lightroom or ACR presets it takes 1-2 second or more to generate preview when I scroll my presets and test what looks better. Could it be faster "on the fly" if I replace my GPU to something top like RTX 5090? Or it will be faster but something like 20-30% faster, that is not enogh for the price of new GPU.
Windows 11 Home Version 23H2Lightroom Classic 13.1 Nikon .NEF and .MOV Files on flash drive imported into Lightroom catelogue. In reviewing the .MOV files and trying to delete (hitting delete key then - remove from disk) them it states "The file named"DSC_226.MOV" could not be moved to the recycle bin. If I try to delete it outside lightroom with lightroom still open (delete with windows explorer) then I get "The action can't be completed because the file is open in dynamiclinkmediaserver.exe" close file and try again. It also isn't removed from the Lightroom Catelogue. Any way to fix this? Would like to clean up my files and discard the "non-keepers" Steve Egge
I followed the procedure for converting .cube Luts in Camera Raw using a raw file, but the profiles are only available for working on raw file types (e.g, ARW) and not other types of files (e.g., .dng, .tiff, etc.)Am I correct in concluding that .cube Luts cannot be coverted into profiles for use in Lightroom Classic using anything other than a true raw file (e.g., .dng, tiff, etc.), and that there is no way to convert .cube files into profiles for use with .dng and .tiff files?
Hello Everyone. I've been a lightroom user for at least 5 years. Way back I had export settings saved in my lightroom but recently I had to delete lightroom off my desktop and redownload it. None of the export settings saved unfortunately. Now, when I export photos, and try to upload to instagram, they are extremely blurry. I've used settings people have recomended on youtube but nothing has worked. The ONLY time my photos aren't blurry and look normal on instagram is if I upload more than one photo. If I upload a single photo, it's extremley blurry. I'm beyond confused. Thanks!
Hallo!
I have a portable 5TB external hard drive dedicated to images on LR Classic. Is there a way to change the name of the hard drive without messing up the connection between the images on the 5 TB HD and the LR Classic Catalogue?
TLDR: some old (<2021) images in a large catalog spanning from 2007 till today do not display on the develop panel (but do on the library) and don't sync to LR on the Web. At the same time, these and other pictures do not sync to web and the list of unsynced files often mismatches the list of images in the sync pane. All common solutions tried to no avail. Reimporting the files copied from a different folder works but with no edits applied. Here we go.I have a large Lightroom Catalog (8GB) With images spanning from 2007 till today. It's he catalog where I import all of the images I've delivered or are going to be delivered and syncronized to LR Web to eitherselect or edit on the gohave the customer check or confirmpublish a selection of the images to behance and my websiteMy problem is that Syncronization started working erratically with some stuck pictures (sometimes listed on the preferences' syncronization tab, sometimes not - the number of unsyncronized images does not matc
I have been making slideshows from collections, but today when I go to the Collection (in LR classic) and click on slideshow the order is fine, then when I click on "Create Saved Slideshow" the order of the photos changes! Any suggestions? Thanks.
Started on a Mac all was fine. Moved to my Windows laptop. My pics are on a NAS. Did a find missing folder and it found the folder find on the PC. I have upgraded my Mac so I want to move back. No issues moving over the catalogs and starting the app. The NAS folder was available and mounted under the Network prior to starting Lightroom Classic. Had no problems navigating with the folders prior to starting. Of course LR classic no longer knew where the mounted folder was so I when in did find missing folder. I was able to navigate to the folder on the mac. However when I selected the folder on the Mac, I am getting "An internal error has occurred. invalid path" error. Even thought I had no issues navigating to the folder... So, now I have thousand of photos I cannot get to inside LR Classic, but no problems getting to under the Mac... version is 14.1.1.
When I preview photos in LRC on memory card before import they are small and blurry with my new Canon R5 and R3. My old cameras showed full size and sharp previews.
I didn't have the JPEG problem in the past. Everything was working just fine. But tonight, I suddenly cannot do a simple task of exporting from Sony RAW files to JPEG.I have exported thousand of JPEG files from the latest (updated) Lightroom Classic with my MacBook Pro M3 Max Chip with 48GB Memory and 1TB SSD. There are plenty of hard-drive storage in my SSD MacBook Pro and my SSD external Hard-Drive.I don't know what happen, but now suddenly cannot do any JPEG Export at all. I resstarted my MacBook Pro and restarted my Lightroom Classic, but it's still not working. Please see the error file below (attachment). I also had the latest MacBook iOS updates and Lightroom Classic latest updates. The JPEG Export was working just fine this morning and it was also working just fine for the last few years. I don't know why suddenly the JPEG Export stopt working. P
Ok this has been happening for a couple of days now. I can drop in my RAW photos and all is fine. Then I usually apply my preset to a photo and then apply it to all of them, that is when it freezes and I have to close it. I am working off of SSD's, plenty of RAM and storage. I have tried to reinstall 2 times, I have tried all different kind of option changes and nothing works. I have so much work to do and I cant do anything. Please let me know if there is anything you can think of. Thank you

I have subscribed to Lightroom Plan with 1TB for $23.99/month.When I looked at the version that was installed on my desktop I noted it was version 8.5 not the latest version 14. Why is this?It clearly said Lightroom Classic for Desktop, but I got this old version.Very confused, can anyone sort this out for me.
HiI started with Lightroom Classic 15 years ago and I later added Lightroom Mobile on a few devices.I have over 18,000 pictures with 1/3 in RAW format and a few videos.I dont understand why it only occupies 19G on my 1T plan.If I export them all in JPG it takes over 70G. RAW takes more room. I suspect that not all my pictures are backed up in the cloud in top resolution.I need your help understanding the Cloud Sync/Backup I want to make certain that everything is in the Cloud in the best resolution available. Thank you in advance.
There's something new that's happened with one of your recent updates to Lightroom Classic, and it's pretty undesireable and I'd consider it a bug, if you ask me! When moving through images in 'develop', I often adjust things like the white balance, the exposure, the cropping, etc., and to ensure that I haven't 'gone too far' and created an image edit that will look out of place and not 'match' the way that I'd edited the previous image, I often quickly press the left arrow key to glance at the prior image in the filmstrip, before moving on and editing the next image... Problem is, there's now a bug where for a brief moment, a split second really, Lightroom Classic now shows me the image that I'm working on BEFORE the most recent white balance, exposure, and crop, etc. changes were made, and it shows those old settings to me JUST before it shows me the previous image. This of course destroys my eyes' and brain's ability to remember exactly how the edit I'd just com
I set a custom white balance in camera (using kelvin settings) to 5600, but LR develop module shows it as 6000. I'm using a Nikon D810, shooting RAW, of course. This happens whether I import as NEF or DNG. When I set the camera to "Flash" mode for white balance, LR says I used 7100K. The camera manual says "Flash" is 5400K. One of my colleagues, who also shoots with a Nikon D810, sees exactly the same results. Is this a problem with Lightroom? With all Nikon D810s? Is there a setting I'm missing? I need to submit RAW files for a certification I'm applying for, and they need to verify the WB setting in the files (as shot). I'm concerned that they'll see the wrong values if they use LR to read the data. Beyond that, I'm concerned that my images are ending up too cool because of this issue. Sure, I can adjust the WB to taste for client images, but would much prefer to be able to rely on the specific temperature values.Has anyone else noticed this? Is it a bug? Is there a better way to insp
I have been getting Error 224 when opening the newest release of LRC 14.4. I am using Window 11. After looking for online solutions it looks like the solution has to do with not connecting the the Adobe servers. It works fine when I install the previous version 14.3.1 Any resolution or how to contact support. Chat is AI and no help at all.
