I hoped to see an update of LR Classic because the performance is so bad. Culling is nearly impossible. I can select any image in the filmstrip and it takes 30-45 seconds before the image shows up. The same with inserting development setting (synchronizing in development) or even setting star rating. I don't know what happend since the latest release? It's just a small catalog of around 4000 images. Macbook M1 max, Sequoia 15.5, 1TB ssd, 32Gb Memory Am I the only one having performance problems?
Hiya, So yeah, a weird one! Hitting v no longer activates b&w mode, so I have to use the mouse, but it works when I want to toggle it off. Any ideas? Thanks,Karen ☺️🙏 V14.5 (stopped working prior to this update)macOS Sonoma 14.6.1
After the new Lightroom update, I can’t apply Denoise to all selected photos at once. Even though I use “Sync” on all of them, after what looks like it’s running Denoise, the exported photos come out without it, and every photo shows the yellow “Need to update” button. Just to clarify, at the very beginning before editing, I apply the Remove tool to all photos because of two burnt pixels. I know the correct order should be Denoise first and then the Remove tool, but since I crop the photos afterward, I wouldn’t be able to remove the burnt pixels from all of them. Please help — right now I have to denoise every single photo individually, and it’s an extreme time-drain.
I am experiencing some strange behavior with Lightroom and an external hard drive. I am on a Mac Studio. When I import photos into LR classic the external hard drive starts going crazy clicking away like it would if you were to drag a bunch of huge folders into it. But my settings are such that all my imported photos files are on my desktop hard drive as well as my catalogs. Nothing is going onto the external hard drive but something is triggering it to go off. (only later in my workflow do I drag the folder onto the external hard drive later after editing the photos). Eventually after 30+ minutes it settles down (importing 200 photos). But here is the problem, while the hard drive is going crazy I will edit the photos in LR and often will ‘open as layers in photoshop’ multiple files into a composite and work on it in PS, then flatten and bring back into LR. But now back in LR when in Develop mode the photo is teeny tiny on the screen, just a little dot. It will not show preview full s
Hi!Adobe should really reinvent the whole system of moving photos from one catalog to another because the "Import from another catalog" function just isn't working most of the time.It is very hectic. Sometimes it doesn't even start importing and I have to restart Lightroom to even get it to work. But my main problem is it always wants to copy everything and it doesn't recognise that the photos are already in the catalog I want to move into and I just want to update the settings. So here's how I work:I have a temporary "Editing Catalog" on my SSD.But I have a final Archive Catalog on my HDD as well.Of course my photos have to be backed up so when I arrive home with my SD card, I copy the files onto the SSD and I copy the files onto the HDD as well. And I import the corresponding files into both catalogs.I import the files on the SSD into the Editing Catalog and I import the files on the HDD to the Archive Catalog.Afther that I start to work on the Editing Catalog, I do all the culli
Hi. Can anybody please suggest what might be the best laptop or tablet to use for LRC. I am struggling with a Dell laptop which I use for work too but I want a laptop/tablet just for photo editing. It's probably more than 'light' editing but I'm not a professional. Thank you
Hi, I’m having an issue. My setup includes a MacBook Pro 16" (2023) running macOS Sequoia 15.6 and an Apple Studio Display. When I use Lightroom on the Studio Display, it keeps jumping back to my MacBook screen, and the window often resizes itself or behaves glitchily. This has been happening ever since I started using an external display. The app window sometimes shrinks unexpectedly or becomes unstable. Is there any way to fix this? Thanks in advance for your help!
I've noticed that since the last couple of updates LrC often stutters when I select a series of images and apply a preset. I'm talking about less than 10 images and it seems random if it will happen or not. When it does the mouse will continue to move but the LrC UI seems frozen then a few seconds later becomes responsive again. The number of images doesn't see to matter, it can happen with just 2 or 10 but never seems to happen with just 1. Auto-sync is enabled. I've tried to find repeatable steps so I can record it but no luck. Anyone else noticed similar behaviour?

In LrC 9.3 Linear Tone Curve, dragging any newly created point and releasing the mouse click causes the point to jump a bit - not where I want it. Running on Windows 7. Annoying. Anyone else have this problem? And no, it's not the created point not appearing right on the line issue, I'm aware of the ALT and SHIFT options. When I drag a point and un-click, the point jumps elsewhere. Never a problem before this update, but I don't recall having an issue when I first updated. Could my mouse be wonky?
Is Fuji X-Trans support being worked on?I appreciate that the support is better now than it was, but the reality is that Lightroom is still a long way behind other RAW developers, all of which are less well funded and with smaller teams working on the software.Lightroom has been the leader in RAW processing an image cataloging as far back as I can recall; but with the Fuji X-Trans files many people I know are leaving Adobe Lightroom for one of the many other developers, all of which are producing far better results than Adobe Lightroom.Ones I have personally tested are as follows: Iridient DeveloperPhoto NinjaLightZoneCapture OneApertureSilkyPixRaw TherapeeIridient is very good, and this is a piece of software made by a single man.My question is, if he can get it right, why can't Adobe? They have been leaders in innovation for many years but it seems in some areas now they are falling behind - I have never seen so many people leave a major developer for smaller independent ones, but to
Hello, I just updated LR Classic from v14.4 to v14.5 on Windows 10.I’d like to report a major bug: It is impossible to create a new catalog from within the application (Menu > File > New Catalog). It is impossible to switch catalogs (except by clicking directly on the catalog file to open the application). The window App closes, then nothing happens for several minutes (Task Manager shows a "zombie" Adobe process still running) → I have to kill It to reOpen the app. I had to reinstall version 14.4 and everything is now working normally again.
I'm very disapoint with Lightroom 14. The Program crash a lot of times, unable to use classification of photos, very slow and the computer almost always working with the ventilation on. Now I'm using the version 13 that works fine in my macbook. In my desktop I have Lightroom 14.4 and this problems are not listed in the bugs fixes of this new version.
<English translation> Is it possible in Lightroom Classic to have the thumbnails sorted alphabetically by file name BY DEFAULT? The current sorting by shooting time does not match the name I gave my files (year/month/day_sequence_comment), forcing me to return to this sorting by name for each folder... I have not found this option in Lightroom's preferences. Thank you for your help. [Mod: reformatted for better readability]

Why can't I open photos in Lightroom Classic as layers in Photoshop anymore since the last update?
I having difficulties with the brightness of my images when I go between LR library and LR develop. The images become significantly darker when I go to develop then return to the original quality when I go back into library. I'm not sure why this is happening. Does anyone else have this problem?
When I import/add new files into Lightroom Classic 14.5 I cant see the thumbnails so I can import. I have tried the following and have had no success:-upgrade Lightroom Classic to 14.5-moving possibly corrupted [CatalogName] Previews.lrdata file to a new location and restarting Lightroom to force it to rebuild the preview cache. -checking permissions on my hard drive and external drive (both have read write access)-granting Lightroom Classic full disc access-restarting my computer and Lightroom Classic after each attempt above-simplifying import to a few files on my desktop Note: the files/folders I have previously work on in Lightroom Classic will not show a preview in the import / add window either. I have not had this problem on my old computer using Lightroom Classic. Looking for some help. Thank you indavnce.
What's the recommended way to move from an Intel Mac to a new M4 Mac? I use Lightroom Classic and Photoshop. Should I just tell Apple's Migration Assistant to move all my data and apps over along with everything else that's moving to the new computer? Do I then "reinstall" LrC and PS on top to get fresh binaries? The new M4 Mac will replace the Intel one so everything is coming over. Thanks.
I have some parametric curve settings that I like and that I use quite often (for some I even made some presets).I would like to use the same settings (or very similar) in local adjustements, where only point curves are available. Is there any way to convert the parametric curve into point curves to do so?
LrC 14.3 doesn't find either of my cameras when attempting to tether.Apple M3 Max with MacOS 15.3.1, LrC 14.3, Canon R5 Firmware 2.1.0.Computer/cable/camera works for both cameras using the Canon EOS Utility 3.I tried all of the ideas presented in the Adobe document https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-classic/kb/troubleshoot-tethered-capture-lightroom.html but that didn't help.Another post sugested removing a Nikon Plugin, but I didn't have that plugin.Seems to be a LrC problem. Would love to be able to tether directly to LrC instead of using EOS Utility.Any other ideas?
Hello Adobe Lightroom Team,I am new to this community, but I have been working with Lightroom Classic in my wedding photography workflow. One challenge I face every day is that there is no auto-straighten option directly in the Crop module. For wedding work, horizons and straight lines are very important, but unlike architectural photography (where we use Transform), in weddings we constantly need quick horizon corrections. Every time I crop, I have to manually adjust, because the camera angle naturally shifts from 11 o’clock to 1 o’clock during shooting, rarely staying perfectly at 12 o’clock. Is there an existing feature I may be missing, or is it truly not available? If not, I would strongly suggest adding this as an important feature request, an automatic horizon straightening (based on image analysis) inside the Crop tool. It would save a huge amount of time for event photographers.Thank you for considering this. I would love to know if others in the community also need this.Best re
