Lightroom Classic

Hello, since Lrc 14/14.01 I have not been able to import images from a favourite Win 10 folder.Its where I keep all my misc stuff I download from the net, etc.    Its called "Downloads & Software". I try to import a jpeg and the progress bar on the top left just hangs there doing nothing.   I can import images from other folders.I just created a new folder called 'New Folder' - and cut everything from with "Downloads and Software" and pasted it inside "New Folder".I tried to import a jpeg and the progress bar on the top left just hangs there doing nothing. So there is an issue that it does not want to import from the root folder - yet it imports images from subfolders.   Conversely - if I go to the root of New Folder - select an image and right-click and choose "Open With - Lightroom Classic" - it again shows the import progress bar but it just hangs.   I just put "New Folder"  into another folder - and tried to import from the root of New Folder - and

Earlier today, LRc updated (13.3) and Mac updated (Sonoma 14.5). Now, it's taking 12-16 seconds per action I'm trying to make on ONE image. I.E., I'm cropping down an image - 7-8 seconds to do so. I uninstalled and re-installed LRc also. I've also restarted my laptop twice in hopes it would help to no avail.  Is anyone else having the same issue and, if so, how do I correct this?

After processing and exporting images to a sub-folder in Lightroom Classic I renamed the files in Explorer.Lightroom still shows the original file names and Library/Rename Photo does not work.I assume if I use Synchronise Folder, Lightroom will  treat the files as missing photos and remove the files from Lightroom.Is there a way to update the filenames?

why does lightroom classic not read or open sony rx1R mark 3 raw files while PS does?

I have just purchased my first Macbook Pro coming from PC. Copied everything from PC to external drives. (Images always been on another external drive). Tried to open the catalogue to which it asks for an update, do that and then.........nothing! It asks me to import images as there is none, but there is also no catologue - no edits, nothing at all.......HELP!

I am using LRC 14.5 on windows 11.  when I drag a single and or multiple pictures to the Map module  to add GPS.  example 8  extra Flags appear. Even if I try 1  Multiple show up. when not selected.  thoughts?

I've been having color issues using adobe color profile and LRC 14.2 and PS 26.5 and my Sony A1 ii.  I have a Sony a9iii and a7rv with no issues and LRC 14.1 the colors are fine.  The work around right now is converting the raw to dng in LRC 14.1 before editing in PS.  I reached out to Adobe and they confirmed the issues with the samples I provided.  Since it's isolated to the A1 ii it's not a monitor or icc issue.  see the issue in the pic below

The old version of Denoise created a new DNG. The new version is modifying and overwriting the original DNG ..... AND adding all the subsequent processing to it. I keep my RAW files seperate from LR specifically to preserve their integrity. Is this a glitch or by design. ? If it is I will NOT use Denoise in future as I do not want my RAW files altered.  anyone have any info, regards, Steve 

I just installed Lightroom Classic (version 14.5) on my Mac (running Sequoia 15.6).  I find the contents in the Develop menu to be almost impossible to read, as much of the font is black on a dark gray background.  Is there a way to adjust the appearance of the menus?

LR Classic 14.4To get to the "healing brush", which I use a LOT, it takes a lot of clicks to use: Click Remove Tool IconClick Remove drop downClick Heal Mode icon (unless it was sticky from last time, which seems not always the case)Then when finished, to get back to overall develop screen tab, have to click Edit icon.  Previously closing the healing brush reopened the develop screen tab.  Keyboard Shortcut "Q" merely gets you to step 2 above. Is there a way to change this and bring the healing brush to the surface?  It seems as features have been added it has gotten buried.

Hi everyone .. I am looking for the easiest route to load images onto my website, and webshop - can i set it up so that a folder / catalogue goes live to my site once it is exported? looking for the fastest route to have hi and lo res images available to the clients - as i have min time between events and currently doing via whatsapp on laptop - means waiting for the export (3 different sizes, 2 of which need to be branded with different logos) .. what i would like, card in, images selected, edited, exported to a folder that will sync to website as fast as the internet allows - in 3 seperate options ( 1 hi res - print, 2 low res - web use, 3 low res with logo - for socials).. prepared to pay for the disc space, and also use this as a "cloud backup"  have a IT guy who is wdecent with the shop setup - but no the "from lightroom" side of things .... please help / discuss alternative ideas / advise ?? I have the photo and the premier pro packages... not s

Hi.  My lightroom classic catalog is corrupt as are recent backups of it.  I have tried letting lightroom fix it and creating a new catalog and importing the corrupt one.  Neither strategy worked. Is there some way to fix the catalog without having to repeat all of my work?

Hello, As the title implies, whenever I bring up the masking tool in Lightroom Classic 14.5 I see the "Detect People" start to spin and inevitably it stops and crashes out, rendering the masking function impossible to use. It seemed to work fine a day or two ago when I last worked in this catalog, and nothing abnormal happened. I'm 99% sure it has nothing to do with the catalog itself, I keep 2 different catalogs, one work related and one with personal/family stuff, and both catalogs do the same thing. If an image has previously had masks applied it seems to keep plugging along. When multiple photos are selected in Develop, all with Denoise already computed, changing the Denoise amount slider with Auto Sync on recomputes Denoise for the target photos rather than just changing the slider. The same problem occurs with Distraction Removal > Reflections. In contrast, changing the Lens Blur amount slider doesn't cause Lens Blur to be computed. To reproduce on LR 14.4 / Mac OS 15.5: 1. Select two unedited raws and edit the first in Develop. 2. Toggle on Auto Sync. 3. Click Detail > Denoise. Observe that Denoise is computed for both photos (correct). 4. Change the Detail > Denoise slider to 70. Observe that Denoise is recomputed for the second photo (incorrect). 5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 for Distraction Removal > Reflections and observe that changing the slider in the first photo recomputes Distraction Removal in the second photo (incorrect). 6. Repeat steps 3 and 4 for Lens Blur and its Blur Amount slider. Observe that ch

The LR 14.4 SDK omits the ability to manipulate Denoise and Distraction Removal via LrDevelopController and photo:get/applyDevelopSettings().   The settings in all the other panels in Develop are accessible to plugins.

Hi Adobe Team, I’ve encountered a UI issue in the latest version of Lightroom Classic (14.4) that only occurs when the application is set to the Polish language. When I’m in the Develop module and click the “Copy…” button to copy settings, the “Copy Settings” dialog window opens — but in the Polish language version, this window doesn’t fit on the screen properly. Part of the interface is cut off, making it difficult to access all options. Switching Lightroom’s language back to English solves the issue immediately. I’ve confirmed with other Polish-speaking users that they are experiencing the exact same problem on Mac. I have created customs pages in the book module and some of them overlaps so they are very difficult to see and select. Is there any trick to fix this or is it a bug? I have tried with different font sizes in the application prefs but not difference, now I use the default Automatic setting. I find now way to expand the page selection dialog. Here an example.
