I can´t find any modules or menus up in the right corner of Lightroom Classic... As I understand there should be a bar with modules or menues with library, develop, map, book, slideshow, print, web... But I can´t see anyone of these. I would really like to find out how to see these modules. Does anyone know how to do to find them? Thanks in advance.
Need your expertise on Lightroom…I’ve been dealing with an annoying issue in my workflow for the past few weeks and wanted to ask if any of you have experienced this too—or even better, found a solution for it. I edit my photos as usual with Imagen AI, and then I fine-tune them in Lightroom—mostly using the Healing tool (for blemishes, etc.). So far, so good. But as soon as I switch to the next image and then go back to the previous one, all the retouching is gone. It looks like it’s reverted to the state right after the Imagen edit—without my manual adjustments. What’s weird is that a red dot appears on the Healing tool with a note saying, “Some settings need to be updated.” I can click to update, but the whole thing is really frustrating because it means I have to redo everything. And it happens again every time I switch images. Has anyone else had this problem or maybe even found a fix for it?The current situation is seriously slowing down my workflow and making editin
I'm using Lightroom 14.3.1 on a 2017 iMac Pro. I have about 10k picture files stored on a 4TB external drive, taking up about 210GB on the drive. I have a number of folders in lightroom, typically organized by the place pictures were taken. The number of files in a folder range from just a few (under 5) to many (over 1,500). When I select a folder to open in the Library that contains few or many pics, it takes some time for the thumbnails to open. This has not always been the case. Anyone have suggestions about how to make them load faster? Thanks.
I have been teaching people Lightroom for years, and right now I am working with someone on labeling their photos for prosperity as they reach the end of their life time. We already had to move back from Lightroom cloud to Lightroom classic since no keywords will export out of cloud. Now we have to rekeyword photos that he has organized from the last 100 plus years, since most the face detect didn't move over. The end result is that for his kids and grandkids to look at the photos outside of Lightroom, they still have to look at the file information to see the names of the people in the photos. Why not allow Lightroom to export a copy of the photo as normal and an additional copy with the face detect information watermarked over the image, so you can actually see who is who in the photo. I never thought about how useless all of my work in my catalog is for anyone else that doesn't have Lightroom. There has to be a better way to make use of all the w
Today updated my LR from 13.x to 14.0, looking forward for the improvements, especially Denoise supports more RAW file formats. (incl HDR and panorama DNG files)Just tried it on my windows machine (Windows 11, version 23H2)I did: HDR Merge of 5 Sony .ARW files into a new HDR-enhanced.dng file : looks good / as expected Denoise AI of this file results in many (awful) : see partial screenshot (100%)Am I doing something wrong? Can give details if needed (computer info, Driver details etc.)Thanks!
Hello,I am having a problem with using Topaz Photo AI (versions 4.0 and 4.01) with LRc (version 14.3.1) on my Dell laptop (Windows 11, version 24H2). I suspect that the problem lies with Topaz, but it is certainly related to a change in how LR handled converions from native RAW files to DNG files, so I'm looking for any info that I might be able to pass on to them. Or, perhaps there is more going on here than meets the eye, and Adobe shares some responsibiltiy. I convert my RAW files to dng while importing them. I have been doing this since I started using LR v 2 in 2006. Sometime between September 16, 2017 and October 28, 2017 LR started saving my imported files with a DNG (uppercase) extension, rather than the dng (lowercase) extension used previously. Since the choice of lowercase or uppercase extensions is in LR preferences, I must have changed this, athough I can't recall doing so. It certainly shouldn't make a difference.&
I came out here this was my first time I'm open to any advice and any tips just message me
As indicated in the title, I am unable to import some nikon custom profiles (with .ncp extension) into Lightroom.Apparently the program doesn't recognize the format, which should be, I think, .xmp or .dcp.Is there a way to convert the ncp file? Or can anyone give me some suggestions?
there is no way to tether shoot with the canon 5d and LRC. I think you might have to update the compatibility page. CANON 5D wont work with LRC
When I do into Develop and take an action the screen goes black, how to do I fix this?
I cannot target a collection. The options when right clicking a collection do not include making it a target. I've done all the Adobe suggested fixes and nothing works. Suggestions?OS is Windows 10, Lenovo laptop.
Hi,I am experiencing an issue with Lightroom Classic. I created a color profile using my ColorChecker and successfully imported it. The profile is also visible in the following directory:/Users/username/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CameraRaw/CameraProfiles.However, when attempting to import the profile via the "Import Profile" function—by right-clicking and selecting the option—the same issue occurs: the profile does not appear in Profile Management. The problem persists even when importing the profile through Lightroom by right-clicking and selecting Export > ColorChecker Camera Calibration. After restarting Lightroom Classic, in both cases, the newly created profile is still not visible in Profile Management.
The adaptive color profile (preset) is not appearing in Lightroom Classic. I know it was in beta testing but all of the on-line tutorials I have watched state it is there now and ready to use. I have checked to make sure I have downloaded all the updates. Other than deleting the program and reloading it anyone have any suggestions.
It's an incredible time drain that if you want to open a file that you previously worked on in Lightroom the only result is a message: "Previously added". This happens why you go to a file in a project in your own filesystem and try to reopen it. A user filesystem organizes images by topics, by customer, etc ... Lightroom knows where the file is in the Lightroom Library. So why not just open it? Instead what you have to do is navigate the Lightroom Library. Which is by date only. You might have hundreds of files in a date, and many of them similar. Navigating the Lightroom Library takes five unnecessary minutes. Because, again, Lightroom knows where the file is in its library. That's why it's saying: "Previously added". So why not JUST OPEN THE FILE! Over and over I have needs where an image just needs a tweak, weeks and months later, for a new use. and over and over I have to waste five minutes on this navigating the Lightroom Library b
I got a new laptop and I have Lightroom loaded. I want to copy all of my presets over to the new laptop. I don't really care if any of the photos come so that photo catalog isn't that important. These are all the files under my lightroom folder. I have no idea what to save to import onto the new laptop. I use lightroom for basic editing but an not a full time photographer and instead do design work for my company so having access to those original files isn't necessary. The edited files are there so that's good as long as I can get some of my old presets, etc.
I have just finished digitizing thousands of older, extended-family “photos.” I have also created a structure for all the photos using Collections within “numbered” Folders. Now what I need to do is go through all the photos and drag them into an already created or newly created collection, and then have them disappear from the view. I understand how to apply the Filter “Flagged,” but I can’t find one for “Unflagged.” I have tried using the options for Smart Collections, but there doesn’t seem to be a way to created one for “Not in a collection.” The key is, as I work my way through the couple of thousand photos, each time a photo or group of pictures are dragged into a Collection, they would disappear from the working “not collected” Collection, and I would only be seeing unassigned pictures in my grid – and eventually know when all my photos are assigned somewhere. How can I do that? In PhotoMechanic I am able to set a custom variable for the year in my copyright notice in my IPTC metadata fields. It pulls the year the photo was taken and sets that as the copyright year. Is there a way to do this in Lightroom Classic as well? I know the workaround to Smart Filter by year, then bulk apply. I want to do it on import though for future photos. Thanks!
How can I edit masked parts of a picture and only them in Lightroom Classic version 14.3.1? Whenever I try with the tonecurve, since the basic sliders are gone it affects the entire picture.
I purchased a preset bundle from Kelvin Designs. I downloaded them per the instructions on their website. The first 5 sets showed up with no problem. the extension they said to use was lrtemplate. There was also a file with .xmp. I did accidentally download the .xmp files first, but I deleted them and resaved them in the lrtemplate format. Now, the files I opened wrong first aren't showing up. Do I just need to back everything out and start over? I have an email in to the website I purchased from also. I downloaded LRc today. I'm running on a new computer with Windows 11. Thanks.
Lightroom Classic (version 14.2) appears to launch correctly on macOS Sierra 15.3.2, but it freezes once it opens. However, version 14.1 of LR Classic does not freeze and opens fully. Are there any fixes I can apply? When Creative Cloud Diagnostics is launched, it finds no issues with my system.
I'm two weeks into learning Lightroom Classic (Version 9.3) and I've created a few custom watermark presets. It appears LRC doesn't "allow" you to delete these presets. I had to create a new one in place of the one I ended up not wanting. Anyhow, I looked up how to delete watermark presets that I've created and I cannot find a solution that works. The last info I found on this was from 2014. Can someone help! Thank you very much.
Hi,I’d like to suggest an improvement for the Reference View feature in Lightroom Classic.Currently, when using this view, hovering over the image shows the RGB values for both the reference and active images below the histogram. However, this is only useful when the tones you want to compare happen to be in the exact same position in both images — which is rarely the case. My proposal is to allow users to place pairs of color sample points (eyedroppers) — one on the reference image and one on the active image.Ideally, we could place multiple pairs (e.g. up to 3–5), and click on the pair we want to activate. This would display the RGB values of those two specific points side by side under the histogram (e.g. R: 120 / 135 — G: 200 / 185 — B: 180 / 170).This would allow for much more accurate and targeted color comparisons between images, which is especially useful when trying to match color, light or white balance across a series or between unrelated shots. Alternatively —and
I am clicking on "revert to original" and the new "original" does not have the same white balance as the original. But if you look at the white balance section of the module, it shows "as shot". But clearly looking at the original and the "revert to original" images side by side you can see that they are NOT the same color.
I am setting up a new PC with the operating system on one SSD drive. Then I have 2 additional SSD drives. So 3 total. I was contemplating using drive number 2 to install Lightroom Classic and drive number 3 for storage (photos, data, etc ). I was reading that installing Photoshop and Lightroom on a drive other than the operating system can complicate things and maybe cause problems. Has anyone had any experience with this? Thank you.
