Lightroom Classic

I import all my RAW files to Lightroom and edit them without converting them to DNG format.  With that last software upgrade, LR is converting all my RAW files to DNG.  I don't want this.  It is super-time-consuming.  How do I stop it from converting my files?

Hi  Habe nun meinen neuen Build fertig und das AI Entrauschen treibt mich in den Wahnsinn. Das alte Setup war noch ein i7 7700k, also 8 Jahre alt. Und die GPU war eine AMD 6800XT.  Da hat das Entrauschen so 30 Sekunden gedauert und die GPU war ca. 15 Sekunden unter Volllast. Hat also 270 Watt gezogen.Die berechnete Zeit wurde mit 15 Sekunden angegeben. Nun habe ich wegen der Windows 11 Geschichte auf ein neues System gewechselt und lange, sehr sehr lange geforscht welche CPU es werden soll. Am Ende wurde es ein AMD 9700X welcher laut Benchmarks ganz weit oben ist bei Lightroom. Als GPU ist neue eine 7900XTX drin, also auch ein guter Leistungssprung. Das Problem ist Entrauschen AI. Die Zeit wird mit 4 Sekunden geschätzt, und am Anfang geht der Balken auch rasend schnell vorwärts. Die GPU nuckelt kurz 374 Watt und danach passiert beim Balken nichts. GPU Power geht auf irgendwie 40 Watt runter und die CPU dödelt auch mit 10% Auslastung rum. Am Ende dauer

All, I have several psdt files that I would like to manage in LRC but I am unable to import or view the files.  In my finder there is no thumbnail either.  I am left with having to open the file via PSD or use the online library with Adobe taking up  my online memory space.  I just need to see what the file is via a thumbnail.  Any suggestions?

There is a tiny white star in the bottom right of one of the folders in the library module. What does that indicate?

Hi!I'm considering buying a thin and light equipped with Intel's new Ultra line CPU, the Core Ultra 5 125H.The laptop specifically is the Lenovo Ideapad Pro 5. I mainly do event/concert photography, and want to carry my laptop with me, so I can shave some editing time off during travel. The map search function stopped working yesterday.  The search function worked normally yesterday, but stopped responding during a work session. I am running ver 14.0.1 Lightroom Classic in Windows 11 Pro.  I can drag photos from the tray and place them on the map without any issues.  I see this was an issue previously and it is curious that it appears to have come back.  Is anyone else having this issue?

I noticed after updating my new v10 converted catalog that LrC was acting slow in the Library module, so I disengaged the usual culprit for this, the "Automatically write changes into XMP" setting. Then to my dismay, I noticed that it proceeded to mark the majority of the photos in the current grid view as needing a metadata update, even though the catalog metadata was fully saved to XMP prior to the upgrade, as far as I was aware.   Then I paged down, and the pattern repeated: Lightroom scanned all the now-visible photos and found that almost all of them also needed to be updated on disk.   And I did it again. And again.   Eventually I wrote a script to send "Page Down" events to the program periodically to ensure that Lightroom looked at every photo in the catalog, then let it run overnight with the library filter set to "Metadata Status = Up to date", so that it would give me the list of photos that need no metadata update. In October of 2024 I upgraded to Lightroom 14.2. After the download/install 7 folders went missing and I can't seem to find them. These folder represented 15,000 images taken in Sept. and October 2024 that took a month to edit and cull down to 3000. Does anyone have suggestions on how to locate these folders short of calling Adobe customer service for help. What is the performance of AI Denoise for new intel laptop CPUs - Core Ultra 155H/185H/255H/285HDoes anyone have an experience? My intel 1240p / Irix Xe / can do 20MPx image in approx. 4 minutes. 

Hallo, wir planen eine ECom Shooting und möchten den Barcode als Bildnamen mittransportieren. In welches Feld muss ich den Code Scannen, damit er auch bei weiteren Fotos bestehen bleibt? Habs bei Titel, Kopiernamen und alles schon versucht aber sobald ich ein Bild mache fehlt der Scancode wieder.  Bitte um die Hilfe. 

Hi there, I've go a huge problem with LrC version 13.x.x.  The first version I've tested was 13.0.1 and it was a catastrophe. So I switched back to 12.5. with all the hassle that comes with going back to an older catalog version. I've skipped 13.0.2 and now I thought I'll give 13.1.0 a try. At first it seemed to be okay, but it  got worse.    The crashes happen randomly. There's no pattern to it. Sometimes it's happening while working with LrC (I had the suspicion that Point Color might be the cause - but it's not), sometimes it's happening while the program just sits in the background and I'm doing something else and sometimes (I might better say often) it crashes during startup. It's not uncommon that I need 3-5 tries to get it started. My latest (and also current experience):Since it was running relatively stable the last few days (maybe only 1 crash per day), I upgraded the Excire Search plugin yesterday. Dear Adobe team, I like and i rely completely on Lightroom Classic for my tens of thousands of Nikon NEF files per year. Recently, when critically reviewing images taken with the Nikon Z 6 III (24-120 f4, 24-70 f2.8 and others) and comparing them with images edited using the exactly the same editing pipeline (using almost 100% the "Camera Neutral" profile) i've discovered a relatively strongly visible issue: the tint isn't equal across the frame. The left side and corners of the frame seem to have an at least +10 tint compared to the centre but also compared to the right side of the frame. This is not the case for my Z 6 images. I can of course not rule out at the moment that this is a camera issue but may be i'm not the only one seeing this? Happy to share sample files (particulary visible with winter images of snow and blue sky across the frame (where the tint is visibly variable across the frame). Thanks in advance, and best wishes, Steffen

Bonjour J'ai exporté en PDF une planche de contact de Lightroom Classic, sur mon écran la photo est bien mais en envoyant ce fichier par email des fines lignes blanches appparaissent. J'ai décoché "dessins au trait" et "optimiser les traits fins". Que puis-je faire pour supprimer ces lignes blanches ?

Hello, I’m experiencing an issue in Lightroom Classic 14.2.When I remove edited photos or folders from "Folders" and re-import them, pressing the backslash (“\”) key shows the edited version, not the original. I can’t compare the original and edited images this way.Is there a setting or solution to fix this? Thanks for your help! 

Wenn man in der Bibliothek im Filmstreifen mehrere Bilder auswählt um zu Synchronsieren hängt sich LR auf.

I posted something similar two months ago. LrC is responding very slowly. Yesterday, importing 13 JPG photos took longer than usual. When I made an edit, it took many seconds to minutes for the action to appear in History. Today, while I'm out of the office, a coworker reported to me that renaming photos and other actions was a problem. We save our photos to a server. Lightroom runs on a local computer and points to the server files. The server connection appears good. Lightroom is up-to-date (14.1.1). We have tried closing and reopening Lightroom and rebooting the computer. What else should I look at for solutions? Specifically, do any of you keep photos on a server and have similar performance issues with Lightroom? Thank you!

This may be related to P: Fullscreen with Menu Bar not working correctly with multiple monitors. They appeared at the same time. Starting in LrC 13.5.1 (or 13.5.0… I skipped that one), when the floating secondary display is opened or re-rendered for any reason, its window is activated and it takes keyboard focus. This is evident because the "close" button (in macOS, the tiny red dot in the secondary display's menu bar) is highlighted. Some keyboard shortcuts (the one-letter shortcuts, with no ⌘ modifier) from Library mode are active when the main display has focus but not the secondary display. So opening the secondary display now has the side-effect of making those keyboard shortcuts unresponsive. In 13.4 and earlier versions, the only way to give focus to the secondary display is to single-click its menu bar, which I have probably never tried before troubleshooting this bug. I've upgraded to the latest Lightroom Classic for Windows, version 14.2   I opened a photo in the Develop module and used my develop tools to set a reasonable exposure for my photo. In this photo there is an overexposed area that I want to remove. I use the Q Remove tool to draw a brush stroke over the area to remove. The removal is successful, but the overal image exposure is dramatically changed. Deleting the Remove adjustment puts the exposure back. Drawing a new removal stroke changes the exposure again.   This is unexpected behavior that I haven't seen before. I have Lightroom Classic 14.2 installed, running on macOS Sequoia 15.1.1.   I wanted to open an older catalog, but Lightroom said it couldn't open it without upgrading. The original catalog was version 13.   After the upgrade and opening the catalog, all the images were there, but every single one was in its default state—every setting and edit was gone in all folders.   I kept the original catalog; this one is just a copy. What can I do?

Ik heb een kleurenfoto met behoorlijk hoog ISO genomen en heb op deze foto ruisreductie toegepast. Echter de foto komt er bijna helemaal zwart/grijs uit met een paar gekleurde blokken.  Ik heb LRC opnieuw opgestart, maar het probleem blijft.. heeft iemand tips hoe ik dit kan oplossen?
