Version: Lightroom 10.1.1 Platform: iPhone 16 Pro Max with iOS 18.2 Pictures taken with Lightroom Mobule iOS on the iPhone 16 Pro Max have just "iPhone" as model name in the meta data. Previous iPhone models such as iPhone 13 Pro had their exact model name embedded. This makes it really cumbersome to filter in certain parts of Lightroom. Please check the attached images. Note the generic "iPhone" model name for the iPhone 16 compared to the exact model name for the iPhone 13 Pro.
Since the latest update of Lightroom Classic, I can no longer apply presets to videos in the Library module. I can select the presets, but they don't change the appearance of the video at all. Restarting my Mac and Lightroom didn't resolve the issue.
HI, today I licensed Adobe Cloud with LR Classic 14. I installed LR Classic 14. After start LR tried to upgrade my old legacy LR 6 catalog to the newest format. An error message occured. Questions: - Can LrC 14 migrate an old legacy LR 6 catalog? - How can I avoid the error during upgrade? Thanks.

I have saved the current version of Lightroom. I use a Macbook M1 pro, 16 GB memory. Operating system Sequoia 15.01 What can I do? Hi,I work with 2 cameras. I set white balance (WB) manually to get same colors from both cameras in similar lightning. Before it was Canon R6 + 5D Mark III.Now Canon R6 + Canon R5 Mark II. When importing images in LR, I'm used to see a small difference versus the kelvins values set in camera. Like +-150 kelvins maximum. But with R5II raw files, the values difference is really big (+-1000k).I can no more adjust the WB for all pictures from a similar scene by batch, which was a BIG time saver when editing. Are you aware of this issue ?Thanks for your time ! Hi! As I needed more space on my laptop, I deleted old Lightroom (Classic) catalogs (and emptied the trash). Then I tried to backup the catalog I was currently using (the catalog which opens automatically when starting Lightroom), it didn't work, so I closed Lightroom. When opening again, most of my pictures were gone. I probably made it worse by uploading the most recent of my backups, which doesn't even contain my most recent pictures. How can I find my pictures? (I have no backup, but I didnt delete it either). Hope someone can help; weeks of work there. Thanks!
Perhaps I'm missing something, and I hope I am.. However after many, many hours cropping and editing photos, when I go to change the aspect ratio of cropped images for printing, it reverts back to the original image as though I haven't done any transform, crops, etc. I've removed onedrive, I've reset preferences, I've purged caches.. what can I do?
Mac LR gets confused in various ways when opening a smart-previews catalog exported from Windows, when the source folder for a photo contains a non-US-ASCII character such as é. This confusion doesn't occur when the same folder is renamed to include e rather than é. Tested on LR 13.3.1, Mac OS 14.5 and Windows 11. To reproduce: 1. Download and open this catalog on Mac, which was exported from a Windows 11 catalog with just the option Build / Include Smart Previews: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/nb1wx44ryf0l0ariq13gj/special-char.2024.06.15.zip?rlkey=zidmlyy9zdakywtcoc68f4rtv&dl=0 2. Observe the source folder was named AéB and that the preview thumbnail is grey (incorrect) and there is no smart-preview badge (incorrect): 3. Edit the photo in Develop and change Exposure. Observe that the Histogram says "Original + Smart Preview" (incorrect, should be just "Smart Preview"): 4. Observe that the metadata-status badge indicates "Meta
My Lightroom Classic updated to the new 14.1.1 (on a Mac), and when I just opened it it asked to upgrade my catalog to match the update I assume. Now my Lightroom is not working correctly (refer to photo). I have reopened this a bunch of times and nothing has changed. When I hover over photos, it seems to have the camera data such as aperture the photo was shot at, so there should be all the data in there, just none of the previews or actual photos are loading. I cannot edit, access, or see any of my photos. It also would not let me import any new photos. PLEASE HELP! [Moved from ‘Bugs’ to ‘Discussions’ by moderator, according to forum rules.]
HiThe denoise feature in Lightroom Classic stopped working when I updated to macOS Sequoia 15.3. Lightroom is on the latest version; I also tested it on the previous version, but it didn’t work either. I also tested it on the same batches of images that I had previously used denoise on.- Noise reduction is currently not supported for this image formatThese are the same DNG files that worked previously.
My entire lightroom catalog is in a folder called dropbox cache and I cannot reconnect it to my photos which are on an external hard drive. I have tried many fixes but nothing seems to work. The folders in dropbox cache all have question marks and when I try to connect the missing folder to my hard drive - nothing happens. The only thing that works is reconnecting individual photos manually. I have over 100,000 photos and this would take forever.
Hello! I found an issue where LR does not change the custom color profile when a preset is applied to a RAW file. I have the profile as a part of the preset and I have to remember to change it manually which is a bit annoying. My older version worked fine but I had to upgrade due to a new computer and found this bug. I even tried creating a new preset with the said profile, which doesn't work either. I can change the profile just fine in the profile browser. Anyone else came across this issue and has a solution? Thanks!
It seems ever since I updated Lightroom Classic to v10.3, Lens Profile Correction and Remove Chromatic Aberration are automatically applied upon import. I've searched and tried chaging the Raw Defaults in Preferences to Camera Defaults and Adobe Default, and both still apply these two settings upon Import. Does anyone know how disable this? I prefer uploading my RAW files without any settings applied during import.
LR 14.1.1 on Mac OS 15.3. When saving metadata to files on servers, LR causes all servers (even servers that aren't even loaded in the catalog/being saved to) to be disconnected with no error messages. This doesn't happen with Photo Mechanic or Bridge when doing the same metadata editing, so it seems to be something LR is causing. Also didn't happen in the past with other combinations of LR and Mac OS versions.
Has anyone ever had the issue of not being able to paste settings from one photo to another within the develop panel in lightroom classic? I have been using this program for years and have never had this bug before. I just purchased a new laptop and was working on some photo edits and had been copying and pasting develop settings to other various photos all day and then all of the sudden I was unable to actually paste the settings in the develop view. If I copy the settings from one photo, then click on the library tab, I can then paste the settings. After doing this if I navigate back to the develop tab I can see that the photo settings have been pasted. I have tried resetting preferences, uninstalling/reinstalling the app, installing older versions of the app, restarting my machine etc. Has anyone ever experienced this that can provide any sort of insight? Thank you!
Good evening I have a 2015 mac. It won't install the sequoia update. Only Monterey. When using LR Classic everything freezes. How can the situation be saved? The freezing is affected by the software or you really need to change the computer for faster operation. I have intel core i 5 and 8gb ram and SSD
Using Lightroom Classic 9.3, MacOS 10.14.6 I'd like to copy the EXIF values from one photo to another in Lightroom Classic. If I use Sync Metadata it only includes the IPTC data. The EXIF data is left behind.Likewise, if I right click on a photo and go to Metadata Presets->Copy Metadata, I'm presented with the Copy Metadata panel, but the only elements available are IPTC, there's no way to select EXIF data. The attached screen shot shows the data I'd like to transfer from one photo to another. The "why" behind this is I edited the photo in an external editor, which lost all the EXIF data, so I'd like to replace it with the original. Any thoughts? Thanks!
This is more a feature request than a bug... I noticed that with large catalogs atl east on slower machines, sometimes LrC runs in the background as it's finishing writing to the database and then unloads, but I've seen times where it may take a few minutes to comoplete and then c lose fully (even though the UI closes when the user closes the app, it may still run in the background, and this is not obvious). Maybe Adobe should add an icon in the System Tray to alert users that it's still writing data to the database and it's still open in the background, so they don't restart or shut down their computer until LrC has fully closed. It's not a huge deal but if someone were to shutdown or restart, it's possible that the changes that LRC may be writing will be incomplete and this could lead to corruption. I've also noticed a few instances where it's unloaded from the background but does not remove it's temporary database files (although Adobe does have a workaround
Buenos días, tengo un problema con lightroom classic y es que no inicia en windows 10 pero si que aparece el proceso en el administrador de tareas. ¿Sabrian darme alguna solución? Gracias
How do I apply auto exposure to a group of selected photos? When I do this it only applies the setting to the first photo I selected in the group. When I go to "copy develop settings" and the paste onto the group of the remaining photos they all inherit the EXACT exposure develop settings of the first photo—while I want Lightroom to auto exposure for each photo individually—since the original exposure is different for each.
Can anyone help. I have a macbook with the lastest sonoma 14.3.1I updated to lightroom classic 13.1Everything was fine yesterday - but just now when I select an image in develop - it darkens - it is doing this with all of them, even if they were previously edited. Is this a known issue? Is there anything I can do? Help - I am a bit of a technophobe - but this is really troubling me. Sending two images - one in library - same image after a second in develop (the darker image)
Hi all, I'm at a loss as this has never happened. I keep getting a "Sorry, an error occurred" message whenever I open lightroom. I'm on a deadline and can't seem to get it to work. I uninstalled and re-installed. And it is the latest version from what I can tell. Anyone else having this issue?? any tips?
I spent a few hours using AI denoise on some images, with a few other minor tweaks, all to my satisfaction. When I ame back to the images an hour later to show my wife, all the images had reverted to the state they were in before the denoising.
I recently bought a new Macbook Pro (M4), after years of using Windows.I put all my photos on an external SSD drive (Kingston SX2000), and I transfered the old catalog files from windows to the new mac. When connecting the drive and trying to move between photos/folders in Lightroom, the app freezes. Trying to open the drive in Finder causes Finder to freeze too. When physically disconnecting the drive (ejecting doesn't work as well....), everything is back to normal. Sometimes it works OK, but most of the time it doesn't. When Lightroom is off, the drive works without any problem. On windows 10, no problems too. Reinstalling won't help. Lightroom version: 14.1.1 MacOS: Sequoia 15.3 The drive is exFAT. Any help? Thanks [Moved from ‘Bugs’ to ‘Discussions’ by moderator, according to forum rules.]
