Lightroom Classic

Repro steps:1. Open a catalog in grid view2. Open second monitor in loupe view3. While using mouse wheel to scroll through photos quickly on the second monitor loupe view, press P or X to flag / reject photos. Do this before the photo has fully loaded. Result - incorrect or no photos are flagged. Unfortunately I ran into this bug after culling over 5000 photos from a recent trip - thank goodness for backups but I need to now spend days culling these photos again. Seems to also be mentioned in this discussion: Re: Keyboard Star Rating Being Applied to the Wron... - Adobe Community - 14094236

I had no backup.  I thought I was screwed, but then I realized that I do pay for adobe CC, and yes, there are 100 GB of pictures.  But... does Adobe also back up the catalog itself?   Or am I left restoring those 100GB of pictures, and then just starting a new catalog?  I don't see anywhere to find the catalog on the adobe cc website.  Thanks!

Lightroom Classic 10.2 Camera Raw 13.2 Win 10 Many of my ORF files from my Olympus PEN E-PL5 are marked with an exclamation point in the photostrip and when they are chosen to view a label appears saying "The file appears to be unsupported or damaged." In the past these files appeared to display perfectly OK. These photos are stored in OneDrive. I am able to view them with Windows Photos both the Raw and Jpeg file and they look OK there, so apparently they are not damaged. Why are these apparently no longer supported? I had been quite happy shooting with Raw+Jpeg mode, but now I wonder. Lightroom does not allow me to unstack the ORF and JPEG, so I can't even view them in Lightroom, they appear as a blurry images. Creative Classic tells me I am up to date. Is there a way to get around this problem? 

I have updated my Lightroom Classic to Version 14.2 and when I look in my Catalogue folder, I see the above. Can I delete the ones that are not v13? Also, can I delete the file named Lightroom Catalog-v13-3 Previews.lrdata? It is taking up a lot of space.

Hello!  I was working with the DeNoise AI for several days, and it seems like after a back up was done, it's just not working anymore. Hi! I am using Lightroom v.14.2. I have a black and white image and make some exposure and highlight modifications.  When I jump over to the print module what is showing is the original image and not the image I have just soft proofed I know I must be doing something wrong but I just can't figure out what it is.   I have attached the image I am using.  Okease feel free to offer any suggestions.

I know the question was asked and I have ideas as to the best solution(s), but so I don't totally mess things up, here I am.I created a new Catalog and successfully got the contents of my old catalog into the new one. All was fine until I synched the new catalog as it brought in stuff from Lightroom (not LrC). I believe I likely should have chosen the option (?delete synced data), but did not. This created virtual copies that I have cleaned up, but also a lot of duplicates that show a filepath of Lightroom/Mobile Downloads.lrdata/downloaded-smart-previews.I see the option in Sync Preferences (click the gear) to delete all Synced Data. Is this what I should do and resync?Thank youDavid

My lightroom classic 14.2 is SLOW, laggy, not previewing or even able to rate photos.  I'm running on Apple M3 Max 128 GB ram Sonoma 14.7.2 I have ample storage. Anyone having issues or have solution?  

LRC 14.2. Raw 17.2 Mac ventura 17.4 I'm using Sony RX100 v7 inbuilt panorama function is JPEG and poor quality so I take a number of overlapping RAW images & import into LRC. I highlight all image on LRC > Right Click >Photo Merge>panorama - nothing happens. I closed the application I reopen the application I highlight all images on LRC > Right Click >Photo Merge>panorama and the 9 images then merge into the expected panorama. This never happened with my (beautiful and much missed) canon 5D mk2   Its a pain but I get what i want with a work around but wonder why this might happen - and it does every time. - Any ideas please? I now have 7 hours invested in trying to install Lightroom Classic on my new iMac, not including the download. After stalling out at about 43% after 4 hours, I searched for answers and followed the Adobe recommendation of uninstalling the creative cloud desktop app and reinstalling it. Now another 3 hours in the secon time around, I managed to reach 70%! Making progress, I guess. It's been at 70% for the past 35 minutes:  why is this taking so long? The downlaod is done - just trying to finish the installation.

I'm on an iMac 2017, OS Catalina 64GB ram. Recently I upgraded to LR Classic 11.1 and for the last few days, I've been experimenting with all the new stuff.  To record what I was finding out, I was alternating between LR Classic & Pages app to type notes. Today, a small screen popped up, supposedly from Adobe, asking for permission to record my computer's screen. I denied it, but would like to know why it would do that. It causes me some concern. Good day! HELP!!!I downloaded the light room set-up trial and when I installed it, it only updated the Creative cloud. When I press again to install it takes me to the page to purchase AGAIN the light room application. What can I do? thank you.

I'm missing a few folders in LR classic, they are not in Finder or the cloud.  What should I try next?  Thanks.

I have renamed the files in my cataloge.  The files are Tiffs.  I want to export them as Jpgs into a different folder and have the jpgs use the new name given the Tiffs.  However, the exported jpgs revert back to the original file name. Am I missing something? I am running Lightroom Classic 14.2 on a Windows 10 machine with 32gigs of RAM.

Hi everyone, when I open the masks tab and use the "people" search in Lightroom, it just crashes. This problem appears in both versions of Lightroom. I have already tried reinstalling both apps, but it still happens. I cannot remove filters from my album.I want to view all of the photos in the develop module.They are filtered.How do I remove the filter. In the bottom right corner there is supposed to be an option in the filter option box "none" but it is not there. Can anyone tell me how to remove filters and view all of the photos?

Hi! I have got a problem with my login to the Adobe apps (all updated to lastest verions). Every time I start the computer (updated win 11 pro) and try to open Lightrom Classic, I get promted to login with my passkey (QR-code). This never happened before, and is quite annoying, since I also have to deactivate my current PC(!) every time to allow "this device". The PC name and ID is excatly the same every day, so I wonder if any of you have a suggestion on how to solve this problem? I could not find any solutions by searching. Hello ,    I have a very big sync.irdata folder (13GB) with several subfolder which have each a managed catalog file . All my photos are synced from Lightroom classic to cloud, with all original living only in LR classic and each cloud imported file is moved into classic and delete in LR cloud after .   So why do I have several subfolders in sync.irdata with different dates ? Do I need them , can I delete all or all but not the latest in date ? Many thanks for your help as this eats up much storage on my laptop. J'ai voulu mettre en route Lightroom comme la veille où je n'avais eu aucun problème et une fenêtre est apparue me disant : message d'erreur, code 14002. J'ai redémarré l'ordinateur, sans changement, J'ai désinstallé et réinstallé LR, sans changement. Alors je ne sais plus quoi faire. Quelqu'un peut-il m'éclairer ?

Hi,new user here but I am quite strong with other raw editors.In my workflow I am used to create the main event folder (i.e. my_birthday) and create a subfolder for the raw files: ./my_birthday/my_birthday_RAWNow I develop all photos in the _RAW folder but how can I export them in ./my_birthday/my_birthday_JPG?Of course I would avoid to specify everytime manually the folder. Is there a way to create a preset doing this? I am reading lots of pages and watching several tutorial without success.Thanks in advance

Help,I just updated to the latest version of LR and with it the catalogue. now, all my picture thumbnais show grey and when i am trying to import new picutres in the lower left hand corner shows a turning wheel. the pictures files are still where they are supposed to. I am working with macOS.does anybody has an idea how to fix this???Thank you!
