Lightroom Classic

For about 1 % af my photos (dng, jpg, tiff) Lightroom Classic will not synchronize metadata with files. I have tried- Save Metadata to File- Read Metadata From File- Update DNG Preview & Metadatabut without any success. bonjour à tousJe ne parviens pas à ouvrir l'explorateur de fichiers à partir d'une photo, dans mon catalogue, comme précédemment sur un autre ordinateur. Je suis désormais sous Windows 11. Quand je demande à localiser la photo via l'explorateur de fichier, une fenêtre noire avec manifestement du code s'ouvre ultra vite et se referme illico. Quelqu'un a-t-il ce problème et sait-il comment y remédier ?Merci d'avance

14.1 release 17.7crIt was working, I use it most days. There have been updates from adobe but I have no date info as I auto update.Basic steps:use a healing tool  (or any AI feature in PS) and after the usual AI timer a vauge message appears saying AI isnt working and it gives no reason. Here is the message: The issue is that I have learned to rely on this and now it has failed. I very much hope Adobe can get this one sorted quickly please!I have a great internet connection between 200MBps and 1.3Gbps (depending what room Im working from). Dobrý den, je tu někdo z technické podpory,? Faqkt nevím kam se obrátit. Mám problémy s Ligtroom Classic. Špatně importuje fotografie, pomalu, nebo neimportuje vůbec.  Mám verzi 14.0.1.Používám jej na profesionální práci a vážně uvažuji že odejdu jinam, protože problémy se opakují. Můžu to s někým konzultovat? Mám předplatné a očekávám řádnou podporu.

Hi: I selected the sky using the new Masking feature. I noticed that it selected some areas beyond the sky that I wanted to remove from the selection.  So, I selected the Subtract option and the Brush Tool to clean up the selection, but it didn't produce the expected result ie. remove areas from the selection. I'm on a PC desktop with Windows 10 & Lr v 11.0.1 Thanks for your time.

You can try to add new pages but when you exit Book Module (e.g. to GRID) and then return to book module, all pages lastly added were not saved. You can even try to change the format of the book: there's no way to not only recover pages lost but to see any pages added to the end if you leave the book module and back. I never had this problem before and made quite recently a book in Lightroom 14.1 (end of November) and have made at leats 20 books p

I used to be able to zoom with my mouse wheel and pan by holding the mouse down and moving the image.  Something changed in the middle of working with a set of photographs and the mouse wheel now only scrolls, moving an image up and down or side to side if shift is pressed; and in library mode it scrolls between images. This is beyond frustrating and I've googled the issue and searched this forum and the answer appears to be that lightroom doesn't support zoom with mouse wheel, but I swear this is how Lightroom had worked for me right up until this day.   Restarting Lightroom Classic doesn't help.  Is there some magic that will make this work again? I find the current behavior unusable.

I don't mind at all that Lightroom Classic as "NR" and "SR" designations to edited files to show they have gone through the Enhance panel/process. But I *do* object to LR adding the word "Ehanced" to the filename. I know there is a threat on renaming files addressing how to remove this, as well as how to customize renaming files. But I DON'T WANT LR ADDING THE WORD "Ehanced" IN THE FIRST PLACE. It makes for a long filename (especially, in light of the fact that I make use of the Title meta data to add other things to the filename, e.g., "5x7.PolarMatte" etc.). Is there a way to tell LR *NOT* to add the word "Enhanced?" I still like having the "NR" and "SR" designators. But really, to add the word "Ehanced" is redundant in light of adding "NR" and "SR."

Trying to find the original file name. Previous posts say it will appear under file name if metadata display is set to "EXIF and IPTC" Does not show when I do this.

I have seen old threads on this but the solutions don't work for me.  I just can't drag files into any of the collections I have created. For the record this is the first time I have tried to so.

I accidentally changed all 13,000 of my files so the camera type is displayed rather than the original file number. How can I fix this. I think I did this while trying to trying to set up new collections but I can't see how to change them back to the original file names.

Lightroom Classic 14.1 and 14.1.1MacOS 15.2 I am unable to add or edit keywords in the Library module. If I mouse-click in the keyword area nothing happens, it doesn't open to allow edits.

Good evening,For a few weeks now, when I want to crop an image using the orientation tool, black areas appear once the crop is complete and I have to crop again to remove them, whereas before everything was fine without these black areas appearing. I'm sharing this as a bug because it feels like it's a bug.When I add a photo to one of the services under Publish Service, LRC overwrites the meta data Capture Date with today's date.  I have a library that's very organized, by date, as it should be.  Not the date the file was created, but as accurately as possible, the date the photo was taken, which is more likely the date that the photo was originally developed.  We all know that scanning negatives does nothing for us when it comes to keeping track of chronology, so I have a script that stamps scanned photos with the correct date so importing into LRC results in the proper chronology. It seems that publish services screws that up.  After publishing a photo, all of the dates are re-written to the current date on the original. I want to be able to control this so the service to which I'm publishing the photo is also able to properly date the photo according to when the photo was taken, not when the new c

I've been having all sorts of issues with LrC and my NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 6GB. 😕😕**And yes, my drivers are up to date. I use studio drivers and update whenever a new one comes up. Because of the issues above, I no longer use GPU acceleration with LrC but my RTX 2060 is working fine with Photoshop and ON1 RAW. 🤷🏻‍ Are there GPUs known to work better with with LrC? RTX 3060? 4070?

That's great that the SDK is still getting updated.  The new log location, unfortunately, has not been updated in the LrLogger.html documentation - it still says it's in "My Documents".  It would be great if that could be updated - I just spent 45 minutes trying to figure out why I can't find the logs any more...

Hi all, As I run LR Classic on my PC in develop mode it runs okay but as soon as I add radial filters, subject masks and some other adustments, LR slows down very fast that I can't work anymore so I have to reboot my whole computer. Building 1:1 previews and exporting to JPEG takes forever to complete.My PC specs: Intel Core i7-7820X CPU @ 3.60GHz 3.60 GHz with 64GB internal memory and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti with 11GB memory.I did some research and I was told this problem is due to CPU/GPU performance.Clearly my PC is not capable anymore and I am also looking towards a Mac workstation, not a MacBook. I mainly use Lightroom Classic and use it for culling, building 1:1 previews (so I can zoom in to see if an image is sharp) and export. There are usually 2000-3000 images per catalog that I have to cull and will end up with 400 images that needs editing.I am looking towards the Mac Studio over the Mac Mini because it has more CPU/GPU.But the Mac Mini has the new M4 chip an

Hi, I have recently switched cameras from a Nikon Z7 to a Z8 and now, when importing files to lightroom classic, the standard previews are taking an age to build. The MP size is the same between cameras obviously but I am using the new HE* compression on the Z8. Could this be causing the issue?   For reference the previews took a couple of seconds for Z7 files but now take 6-7 minutes for z8 files (around 30 files). This is. a huge increase so clearly it's a software thing as these files are supposed to be smaller.   The machine is a 14" Mac Book Pro M1 1TB 32GB RAM with 10 core cpu, 16 core GPU, 380GB free space on internal SSD.   Anybody got any suggestions?

With the increasing usage of AI in Photoshop, Lightroom Classic & Topaz Photo AI, my aging 2017 iMac 27 is showing its age. I am currently looking at a Mac Studio M2 & a BenQ SW272Q as a replacement. The Mac Studio can be quite expensive with the memory & storage that I would like. But I can keep the price within reason with the use of external SSD drives. As for the BenQ display.... although it only has 2K resolution, my primary consideration is color accuracy. If I understand correctly, The BenQ SW227Q shares the same features as its 4K big brother (the SW272U), but minus the heftier price tag. I would appreciate the thoughts of those who have had experience with either the Mac Studio M2 or the BenQ SW272Q display in your photo processing work. I had to reinstall Lightroom Classic after 10 minutes of using it in the last update because the key shortcut to change between photos in the strip was changed from "right/left arrow" to "Ctrl + right/left arrow". Seriously? These keys are in opposite sides of my keyboard and this change was extremely inconvenient for my workflow. At least give us a menu to customize our shortcuts like all apps in the world have.
