I am MAC OS 15. Lightoom classic 14.0.1 and Photoshop 2025. When I right click on "edit to photoshop 2025" the image does not open in PS 2025. I get the error messages below. I am able to open on PS beta 26.1. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance! [moved from bugs to discussions according to the community rules - Mod.]
LrC help please!! My computer forced me to update the other day. It said my catalog would be upgraded in order to access the latest Lightroom. Everything appears to have switched over just fine within my catalog, but I am having syncing issues. LrC will sync with Lr, but something is wrong. Instead of syncing an entire gallery within a few minutes, it only syncs about 10 images and then stops (it continues to say it’s syncing, but it just spins and never changes). If I shut down LrC and reopen, it will start syncing again but only another 10 images or so and then it freezes/stops until I shutdown and reopen again and again. I’ve tried letting it just sit there to do it’s thing and 10 hours later it still hadn’t changed any from where I left it. Has anyone dealt with this before and have suggestions for me? Of course this would happen right when I get insanely busy! Ugh!!! [Mod: Moved to the Lightroom Classic forum]
I upgraded to macos Monterey and now LR Classic will not open. I tried signing out and in in Creative Cloud. I restarted my computer. I get message "verifying LR Classic" but it still will not open. {Thread title edited by moderator}

Someone please talk me off the ledge. I have a Dell Precision T3610, six core Intel CPU, 56 GB ram, running the latest Windows 10 with a Nvidia GTX 1050. I make part of my living with photography and spend a lot of time in Lightroom Classic. I'm an Adobe CC user and all my apps are on the latest version. At random times the screen will go black. The server has not crashed, as if I have something playing in a web browser the sound will continue. The only solution is to hold the power button in until the power turns off. After boot, the system will work for some random amount of time before the screen goes black again. I've done a lot of googling on this, and it appears to be a common problem with Lightroom Classic or Photoshop and nvidia graphics cards. The suggested solutions are often impractical or seem unlikely to affect the problem. (a) update your drivers. The always say to do this. My drivers are the latest available.&
Since Lightroom 14 and then 14.01 my Lightroom has become a lot slower. I regularly see at the top of the screen that my Lightroom is not responding. Even if LR does respond, the system is very slow, especially if you are going to work with masks Even if I set up a new catalog and don't even have 600 photos in it, the system is super slow. Starting the application also takes a lot of time Does anyone have a suggestion what I could do? Or has Lightroom become super slow and almost takes down your entire system. Windows 11,Disks are not full. C still has 300Gb free with a disk of almost a 1 Tb and with the D disk 450 is still free of 1 TbIntel I7 processor see below,32 Mb ram. Hello I'm noticing that when I take my photos in the lightroom cloud to edit them they lower the quality and they darken and lower the quality, I have the premium subscription and this has never happened to me before, could they help me solve that?
Okay I've been trying to figure this out for MONTHS as it's happened to me several times. I'm working off of a macbook air and always start my workflow in LR with a raw image and do basic adjustments. Then i move to photoshop for other work. However, I've had photoshop crash on me and had to reopen and then I'm working off recovered PS images. However, I then try to save my work to go BACK into LR but it doesnt give me the option. It then opens up the save as box. Pleaseeee tell me someone knows hwo to fix this!
I am using LR Classic and the make public button is no longer visible in a photographic collection on library mode. Does anyone know how to restore this function? I also had made an album public for a client and they commented on this public album. Usually I can see this activity in my original album collection but I can't see the ones that they have hearted.
I've been using lightoom for 10 years. I have an external drive that my computer can see and has all my photos of the last 4 years. A few days ago I backed up the catalog and updated LrC to the latest version. I made sure to check the external drive and have given my computer all the permissions to read and wrtie files to this drive. The drive is grayed out in LrC only. I've tried all the online suggestions. The external drive nor my catalog has not changed in anyway. Lrc sees the drive and will allow import from the drive when I switch to the import photos screen but it is not available under my usual folders tab in the LrC library.
I recently added a portable SSD drive to may Mac Studio (running OS 12.6.1 Monterrey). I created several categorized parent folders into which image files were then imported into their own subfolders. In the left folders column, the subfolders show but the parent folders do not. All of my other attached portable hard drives that do not have this problem. Suggestions?TIA,John
I am embarrassed to say that I really do not understand how this OneDrive and Lightroom work together. I hope someone can educate me here. I have only the original 5 GB of space on the OneDrive that is currently being eaten up by Lightroom (4.1 GB). I do not know how Lightroom came to be on the OneDrive as well as my desktop and laptop computers; I certainly did not consciously do so. I am running Windows 10 on both machines. At any rate, I would like to free up space on the OneDrive so I could use it to store instructional material for my classes that I teach, but I am afraid to uncheck the Lightroom folder on the OneDrive because the footnote warns that if I uncheck a folder, that folder will be removed from my computer. That Lightroom folder contains my catalogue previews, smart previews, and other files to the tune of 4.1 GB. Does that mean that if I uncheck the Lightroom folder in the OneDrive, Lightroom itself is going to be deleted from my computer(s)? Thanks in advance to any a
First off, when starting Lightroom, it lags during startup. I also noticed that all of my content-aware edits and removals on 300 of my photos became undone. I had to redo everything, only to realize I had to do it once more, which made me feel like there's a glitch, bug, or error. I keep getting a message saying, "Some remove settings need to be updated." it also keep saying skipped 2 or so geneative spot .. WHY ?!?! I would like to know why this is happening and how I can fix these frustrating issues. Thanks!
Importing files. They are new and on the local hard drive.Neither the "File Renaming" or "Destination" tabs are visible on the right hand side. Nor are they listed in the drop down of available tabs when clicking in the right hand window tab bar. Is this a bug or a new feature removal in this version of Lightroom Classic? If a feature removal, how can you rename files on import or post import in batch? thanks 🙂
Hi All I'm a teacher and just wanting to get some get some validations on how INFURIATING it is that LrC catalog versions aren't backwards compatible at all (like even in the mini/intermittant updates between versions)--students are contantly having compatibility issues because the version that their personal computers can update to is different than what the institutional labs at school update to--they literally aren't on the same schedule--the students can get more updates on their personal computers. This results in the students working in their catalogs/images at home and not being able to keep working at school seamlessly. I just want them to be able to easily store a catalog on their harddrive and open it to keep working on stuff at home/school. This annoying feature really puts a wrench in that. I understand why there has to be a backwards compatibility cutoff/limit, but it's suuuuper annoying how senstive/frequent it is.
I recently updated to the new Lightroom Classic and have some brush presets I want to use. I copied the presets into the Local Adjustment Presets folder but when I go to add a new brush mask, I do not have the option to change the preset effect. It simply says Erase and is blacked out so I cannot click on it. Any idea as to why this might happen? Many thanks!
Hello, I have been having multiple issues with Lightroom Classic, and it seems that many of them are catalog/preview issues. I'm hoping that there is a root cause for all of the issues I'm having, but anyone with more knowldege than me can be the judge of that. I'm going to describe each issue seperately, detail the troubleshooting I've attempted, then provide system and version information at the end. Currently Lightroom only opens with an old catalog, but I have used the most recent backup catalog has been functional in the past so I'm pretty sure it is intact. 1. The first issue I have is the following error: This issue has been persistent through several remedy methods: - Uninstalling and Re-installing Lightroom Classic - Closing Lightroom instances in Task Manager - Starting Lighroom from a backup catalog - Restarting my computer and starting Lightroom from a backup catalog It seems to crop up at random instances, not really prompted by anything
I am on 14.0.1 and am literally wasting HOURS on a daily basis due to performance issues with LrC. It was fine in the summer and event up through August... however lately my productivity has been impacted due to whatever is going on. I've read all the Adobe documentation and feel like I have going through all the settings to optimize the performance. Below is the output I see commonly requested for troubleshooting.... aside from the community, is there a better process for engaging support? It seems that the feature to search and sort photos by orientation (horizontal/vertical), which is available in Lightroom CC, is not present in Lightroom Classic. Why is that?
Two years ago I found with and article or video on how to do lens cast corrections on RAW files taken with a shift lens. This requires using a calibration image taken through an white plastic sheet at the time the original image is taken. The color casting produced is uneven and was a product of shifting the lens. I was able to do this and it worked great. Unfortunately I have lost the instructions and have been unable to figure out what I did. After 6 hours of searching the net, I can;t find the tutorial. This was not a flat -field correction.
Since upgrading to LR classic 14 I've noticed a couple of irritating "faults" (or changes in the interface I didn't want). In the Develop module I selecting a group of images that all needed rotating I used the 'command[ ' but it only rotates one picture. I then have to go back to the Library module to rotate a group of images - in all fairness this 'problem' may have always been the case but it's only today that I had so many pictures to rotate..Another gripe is the crop tool; always reverting to "Original" and the lock symbol comes on. No matter how many times I change it back and turned off the lock it reverted to Original which is very annoying. Anyone know how "Custom" can be made the default setting for the crop tool format ? BTW not very impressed with the new Remove tools !
My environment: MacBook Pro M1 Max Lr Classic: 14.0 Printer: EPSON SC-P700 The issue is about available in printing module paper sizes and paper handling. Let me show you some screenshots: Paper sizes in LrC: As you see e.g. 10x15 (4x6") format is missing. As well as A3+ is missing (however you may use SuperB/A3 instead). Thanks to the Custom Size option I defined 10x15 but LrC produces very strange results (please ignore the color quality of the photo of the printing): Printing parameters: "rotate to fit, maximum size (margins 0,3cm). In opposition, Ps sees the available formats as follows: As you see 4x6 is pre-defined but what is more interesting - printing is 100% proper. To complete the problem. Standard MacOS viewer shows the following formats for this printer: Any idea what is wrong? Any workaround? Regards, Tomek
I started my Photography Plan subscription on 16 April 2014.I want to terminate the subscription but do not want to pay the fine (currently about €30) for ending my subscription too soon (before the year is over).I have not found an option that would allow me to cancel the subscription at the next renewal or prolongation (so it ends at 15 April 2025).Is ther such an option? If not, when should I have to unsubscribe so...a. I don't have to pay a fine; andb. I'm not too late to be stuck with another year's subscription?
